"No. After years of waiting, everything is finally falling into place. The Governor Generals will not delay it further," Professor Winguard's voice echoed in the hallway, and Thorndyke leaned closer to Gwen, shielding her figure completely.
"I am aware, General. But what do we do about Cadet Thorndyke? Because of him, we are delayed for another week. And I doubt that he will let us anywhere near that girl," the voice from before spoke again, this time close enough for Gwen to recognize that it was Professor Edwigg.
A brief pause occurred before Winguard finally replied, "General Stryker has a solution to it as well."
A solution? What solution?
A million thoughts raced through Gwen's mind as she heard the words. She couldn't even begin to comprehend what was going on. And the worry was eating her up.
