Chapter 3 - THE CONTRACT

Elisa's pov

"I will give birth to your heir!" Words came out of my mouth.

"You?" He laughed.

"Everyone knows you're weak and can't even shift into your wolf. Someone like you will conceive my seed?"

His eyes glared into mine.

"Even a strong woman might die after conceiving my seed, and compared to that, you won't even last a day!"

I clutched his shirt, desperate and anxious.

"Give me one chance, please!" My voice never sounded this desperate before.

"I will give birth to your pup by all means possible and in return, help me destroy my ex-husband, her lover, and everyone else who wronged me, and give me the Crest Moon pack as a gift."

His eyes widened slightly.

"Wait! What? You want your ex-husband's pack as a gift?"

"Yes!"

The corner of his mouth curved and he nodded his head.

"I have never seen anyone as desperate as you, Elisa!" His fingers lifted my chin and a smirk glinted on his lips.

"If you die…" He started.

"Our deal is over with my death and you can pretend nothing ever happened!" My lips finished the sentence.

His fingers freed my chin and his hand dropped to his side.

"After I give birth to your heir and you have also fulfilled the end of your bargain, we will get a divorce and you can marry whoever you want."

We both agreed in the end.

He called someone and asked them to prepare a contract.

"I will only help if you succeed in conceiving my seed." His cold tone made it crystal clear.

"Drink?" He asked while pouring whiskey into an empty glass.

"I don't drink!" My lips refused.

He smiled and tasted the whiskey, looking into my eyes. That devilish look in his eyes made me realize one thing…Tristan Presley was far more dangerous than Kian Salvatore, but I had no choice but to play with fire.

We both were going to use each other for our own selfish motives.

An hour later…

A tall man around 6'0 arrived at the mansion with contract papers. Tristan read the papers first, checked each condition, and then passed them to me.

"Read it carefully, Elisa." His husky tone muttered with a deceptive smile.

On the top of the paper, it was written in bold letters…Marriage Contract.

"Are we getting married?" I questioned.

"Trust me you don't wanna hear people say your husband kicked you out of his pack and you became a mistress for the enemy pack's Alpha."

"A marriage sounds much better!"

He was right and I couldn't argue with that.

My eyes jumped directly to the conditions page and skipped the rest.

Condition number one - Party A and Party B must live together in the same mansion during the contract period.

Condition number two - Party B must listen to Party A's demands in the bedroom, and if Party B fails to meet this condition, then the contract will be over.

Condition number three - If Party B succeeds in conceiving Party A's seed, then Party A will listen to Party B's every demand.

Condition number four - Party B's death because of the curse will not be Party A's responsibility.

Condition number five - Party A and Party B must not fall in love with each other. The contract is strictly business and love is out of the equation.

Condition number six - Party B will have no connection with Party A's heir after giving birth.

It was harsh, but I chose it for myself.

Condition number seven - During the contract period, Party B is prohibited from contacting Kian Salvatore and anyone else from the Crest Moon pack. If this condition is not met, then Party B will receive a punishment from Party A.

"What kind of punishment?" I was startled.

Of course, a deal with the devil would never be a flowery path.

"A punishment can be anything."

He answered.

My heart shrunk, carrying a thousand negative thoughts, and fear slowly crawled over my skin.

"Are you scared, Elisa?" He furrowed his left brow at my pale face.

I clenched my dress tightly.

"There's no need for me to be scared of you, Tristan Presley!" My words were confident, even though the confidence was as fake as my poker face.

"Hmm…then shall we sign our marriage contract?" He smirked and the tall man passed him a blue pen.

"I have a few conditions, too!" My voice attracted attention and he rested the blue pen on the table.

"Go ahead!" His deep voice mumbled and he leaned back on the couch's backrest, grabbing his whiskey glass next to the blue pen from the table.

"Condition number one - You're not allowed to touch me without my consent."

"We're going to f*ck each other anyway!" He scoffed.

"Still, my consent is important before you touch me!"

He rolled his eyes sarcastically.

"Condition number two - We're going to stay in different rooms except for the intimate nights."

"What else?" His tone was colder than before as if he was annoyed by something. Perhaps, with my condition.

As much as I heard about Tristan Presley, he's someone who loves controlling others and the fact that I was blunt with my conditions…must be bothering him inside.

"Condition number three - you won't interfere with my personal space and give me freedom."

Elisa was not anyone's puppet.

"As long as your freedom doesn't include Kian Salvatore, we're good." He took a sip of his whiskey and said.

My head nodded to his words and I passed him the contract papers. He asked the tall man standing beside him to modify the conditions as per the discussion we just had.

Half an hour later…

The man appeared again with the new contract papers and passed them to Tristan. He read the contract papers and handed it over to me.

The conditions were good to go now…so I grabbed the blue pen from the table and signed them. Tristan did the same.

"Congratulations on signing a deal with Tristan Presley!" He tossed his whiskey glass in the air.

"What's next?" I asked.

"Get ready for our wedding." He smiled.
