After much resting Okuagu decided it was time for him to get back to something that he had been neglecting for the past few weeks, and that was TRAINING.
Luckily he and Gale had put some of their resources into changing one of the rooms of the mansion into a state of the art dojo. The walls were made of a combination of reinforced earth walls and metal; which was provided by a gifted dwarf. Various low grade and medium grade weapons were in the dojos along with some dummies; which to Gale's annoyance had silver hair. Okuagu walked into the dojos with twelve big candles, along with some makeshift fire torches. Today his plan was to learn and master the control of everything regarding fire and heat. This he hoped to achieve by lighting the candles and fire torches from a distance. As expected this task was easier said than done.Taking a deep breath Okuagu channeled all the heat from the surroundings into his body. "Now for the hard part" Okuagu said as he concentrated his gaze on the candle sticks. His target unfortunately simply melted into a pool of wax. "I've got the heat part right; all I need is the fire aspect of it" Okuagu thought with a frown.Okuagu kept on trying and trying with no result. Using heat to melt the candle was far easier than lighting it due to the way he controlled his power. When it comes to heat all he needed to do was release heat into the surroundings and then concentrate it around a target thereby melting it. However, for flames he could release flames by transmitting it from his heart to any part of his body. Judging from this analysis Okuagu was able to understand that while flames was produced inside of him, heat was simply absorbed from the surroundings. The heat could be converted to kinetic energy or transmitted to an organ to enhance its function or heal it.There was something missing and yet he couldn't find that missing link. "I might need some external help" Okuagu reasoned as he went to Lee's room. Okuagu didn't even need to step out, for Lee had already entered the dojo. Lee looked at the melted candles on the floor and gave Okuagu a confused look. "Well you see, I've been trying to light this candles from a distance by simply thinking about it" Okuagu said with a smile. "Have you tried using your gift's pathways? Lee asked with a sigh. "Gift's pathways? "Okuagu asked scratching his head. "These are slight paths or roads one can sense while using his gift" Lee said as he placed the last remaining candle on the table. "Light it up let me demonstrate" Lee said as he rolled up his sleeves. Okuagu has told lit up the candle with a flame from his hand. "Now watch" Lee said with a smile. A small drop of water landed on the candle instantly snuffing it. "Wow! Okuagu shouted as it seemed the water just fell from nowhere. "All you need to do is concentrate and control the elements around the candle's wick" Gale said as he sat down on a small foot stool. Okuagu tried once again closing of all thoughts as he thought of nothing but the heat around the candle. "Yes I see it" Okuagu said in delight as he could sense small patterns of heat around the candle forming invisible patterns. All he needed to do was to join the right paths that would reach the candle. Okuagu snapped his fingers as soon as he noticed a path towards the candle. As he snapped his fingers a small flame formed on his hand, after which the candle exploded in a bright light of orange. "All I need to do is to increase my control" Okuagu thought as he walked out of the dojo to grab something to eat. Lee looked at the candle and smiled as he too left the dojo that was now smelling of ash and wax.
