Chapter 32 - CHAPTER 32:Solo Mission 3

Okuagu's body ached with pain as he jumped from tree to tree. The clones were in hot pursuit; with two of the clones also travelling through the trees. Okuagu was momentarily glad for it seemed the clones had no ranged attacks in their arsenal and could only hope to kill him in a close melee. At first he had considered burning the forest around him in order to stall the clones, but his love for nature couldn't make him do such a cruel thing. He also had no idea where he was heading to, for the clones had cut off all possible routes back to Jorgsville leaving him in an unknown part of Lionsdale. Though for the moment he was retreating; Okuagu still couldn't help but think of a way to kill this new enemy. For one thing he knew that destroying all the clones at once wasn't an option, for he had already done that before. Judging by this Okuagu believed that the only way he could defeat the stranger was when the clones joined back to become the original body. "Not good" Okuagu thought when to his dismay he had arrived at a clearing bordered by a range of hills. He knew that he had reached a dead end for climbing the hill will only let the clones catch up with him. "Then I will just die fighting" Okuagu concluded as he turned around to face the now laughing clones. "You shouldn't mess with the cult's activities thief" the clones said in unison as they slowly circled Okuagu. At that moment an indescribable amount of rage filled Okuagu's body; for it had occurred to him that this stranger might be related to the bastard that destroyed his village. "I am going to enjoy killing you" Okuagu growled his body glowing orange in the now dark skies. Okuagu's eyes glowed red as he slowly concentrated on the heat signature of the charging clones. All of his other senses kicked in giving Okuagu an almost omniscient view of the upcoming battle. Okuagu channeled the heat energy from his wounds to his legs and hands; filling them with an enormous amount of energy. This of course was extremely risky as it left his wounds unattended leaving him at a risk of bleeding out. The plus side of this was the enormous bursts of energy that was temporarily flowing through his hands and legs. Dodging a downward slash from one of the clones, Okuagu pushed himself forward throwing one of the clones down with a vicious shoulder tackle. Using the butt of his spear he slammed the skull of a clone before he skewered another one burning it slightly. Okuagu seemed to be faring better in this round than the last time as he weaved in and out of the clones' formation giving them no chance to surround him like the last time. "What do you know about this amulet" Okuagu said before he used a flaming kick to push back another clone. "That doesn't concern you "the clones all replied with a laugh. "Just give up, you will not be able to maintain that state for long" the clones added in unison; their eerie laughter echoing throughout the forest. Okuagu ignored the clones and only responded with attacks of savage fury. The clones kept on defending themselves their battle style changing to a more defensive approach...

"Not now" Okuagu thought as he felt a blinding pain in his chest stopping him in his tracks. "I have to admit you really did put a strain on me" the stranger said as his clones walked towards each other smiling. The clones joined back to each other in a white light to reveal a tired looking gaunt man; his blue eyes now looking tired and weak. Okuagu coughed out some fresh blood before he fell down to his knees; his body slowly turning dim as it succumbed to the many wounds he had received. "Are you aware of what happened to a small village in the southern continent ruled by the 'Lion Chief'" Okuagu stuttered spitting more amount of blood. "Why yes" replied the stranger with a savage grin.
