Chapter 34 - CHAPTER 34:Solo Mission 5

"This is delicious" Okuagu said as he took a big chunk out of a rabbit he had recently killed. After eating the light rabbit, Okuagu decided to move on to the Lionsdale capital He had spent a day in the forest; hunting and exercising in order to satisfy his hunger and remove the fatigue in his tired muscles. Okuagu after that headed out from the forest; the stranger's sword and scabbard strapped to his side…

"What took you so long? Gale asked; his face showing no signs of concern. "So let me get this straight, you guys actually didn't try to search for me" fumed Okuagu; his body slowly being covered with flaming patterns. "We thought you were busy hunting and training in the surrounding forests" Diamond said also not showing any sign of concern". "So what actually happened to you during the mission" Emerald further asked, leaning back on her chair. "I'll explain all that happened, after someone gets me a cup of tea" Okuagu replied smacking his lips as he fantasized about his new favorite beverage. "I knew you will ask for that" laughed Emerald, "Enjoy" she added before she slid a hot steaming cup across the table towards the now beaming Okuagu. "You are simply the best" Okuagu remarked; sipping the heavenly liquid slowly. "Just get on with your story" Emerald said, her cheeks turning rosy.

Okuagu told them everything that had happened during his time in Jorgsville, including the funny tale that happened when he was returning; a tale of how he had gotten lost in a town that turned out to be a major brothel. "Such an exciting trip" Gale said out loud as he inwardly wondered why he had not taken the mission himself. "It seems you are forgetting the fact that I almost DIED! Okuagu shouted, slowly raising the temperature of the room in his slight fit of anger. "On the positive side, you got to see some beautiful ladies" Gale said with a grin. "I did burn the place though" Okuagu added scratching the back of his head in confusion. "You WHAT? Gale shouted; his hand resting on the hilt of his saber."I was trying to get rid of some monster rats" Okuagu replied before he shifted his gaze to the empty cup on the table. "That aside, I still can't believe that a stupid cult destroyed your village just for an amulet" Gale said as he shook his head in remorse. "So what rank did the stranger have in the cult? Boaruss asked; his deep voice resonating through the dining. "I have no idea though I think he is weaker than the masked one that destroyed my village" replied Okuagu. Leaning forward on the table Lee breathed out and said: "Interesting, it's unfortunate you weren't able to get any more information from your attacker". "I'm just glad I survived that battle" Okuagu added with a sigh. "Now that you are back. There are a few things the squad has to discuss in regards to a recent message we just got from the Hunters lodge" Gale said. "What's the message" Okuagu asked as his mind wondered with curiosity. "We have a new hunt" replied Gale with a grin."Some hunters have discovered an ancient labyrinth, and as such all hunting squads are invited to wipe out the beasts inside for bounties or discover magical treasures that may have been from a long forgotten time". "So what does the Hunters lodge stand to gain from all this" Okuagu asked as he doubted the Lodge could be this nice to hunters and expect nothing in return. "As of now, not even I can exactly say what the lodge stands to gain from this" Diamond said in reply to Okuagu's question. "What I do know, is the fact that we will soon be face to face with creatures more deadly than monsters" Gale thought as he knew that the competition in the labyrinth may end up turning into a massive war between squads. "How long do we have before the labyrinth becomes open to all hunting squads "Lee asked. "Approximately a month" Gale replied. "And as such we will need to improve our skills before that time" he added with a smile. "Awesome" Boaruss remarked, flexing his muscles. "Fine by me" Diamond said as the rest of the squad retreated to their rooms.
