After some weeks of training and general preparations, the squad were well on their way to confronting the labyrinth.
The labyrinth was located in a cave on a rather treacherous stretch of hills located to the far south of Lionsdale.
All the squads, hunters and even surprisingly warriors had crossed through vast expanses of uncharted lands to get to the massive cave that served as the entrance to the labyrinth. Standing at the opening of the cave was Klaus; dressed in his pristine crimson armor with a beautiful silver sword strapped to his side. Klaus took a good look around at the assorted crowd of visitors before he finally spoke: "Warriors and hunters as you all know this is an S rank labyrinth that was discovered by the hunter's lodge. labyrinths are populated by various dangerous beasts, ghouls and in some extremely rare cases demons that devour the soul of those who enter. There is also one more thing you need to know; the only way to exit a labyrinth is to conquer it by defeating it's 'heart' ". Any questions?"What exactly is the heart of the labyrinth? A tall green eyed hunter asked. Klaus replied with a sigh: "Well the heart of the labyrinth is usually a powerful magical S ranked creature, though at times it can be a demon or legendary beast".
A small man walked up to the cave entrance before he whispered into Klaus ear. Klaus eyes lit up a bit before with another sigh he spoke: "I also forgot to mention the fact that once you enter a labyrinth, a strange spell prevents you from leaving without conquering the 'heart' and as such all of you must know that there is no going back once you enter". The small man who identified himself as Fernand continued from where Klaus stopped: "Also I will advise you all focus on getting your hands on the treasures in the labyrinth rather than fighting each other. Remember that you all have to work together if you want to get out of the labyrinth alive and don't forget to carry survival items with you for you have no idea how long your stay will be in the labyrinth.
"I guess Okuagu's survival skills will prove useful" Gale said out loud as their squad arranged all their necessary equipment into four massive sacks. "When do you think we will enter the labyrinth? Emerald asked as she looked around the various camps that belonged to the waiting hunters and warriors. "Probably tomorrow morning, they must be waiting for those who would like to change their mind" Okuagu replied with a smile. After setting up the two tents for their squad, they all gathered round outside at a fire to discuss about their upcoming adventure. "So what is our game plan? Lee asked in a hushed tone. Gale with a yawn replied: "We are going to search for ores, ancient weapons, artefacts and beast skins that will fetch us a high price in the market". "But come to think of it, does it mean all of the participants will enter the cave at the same time? Okuagu asked as he could not even fathom the huge competition that was about to take place.
Diamond replied with a sigh: "I'm pretty sure we will all enter the labyrinth at the same time, though most of us will take different routes and follow the tunnels and paths of their choice"."Also we will have to be on the lookout for warriors that may be from Lionsdale" Diamond added as she adjusted her mask.
Boaruss on the other hand seemed to be itching from boredom as his eyes roamed around the many tents that littered the environment. Emerald also didn't seem to have any other thing to say as she struggled to stay awake; her eyes struggling to keep wide open. Gale taking notice of the tired Emerald dismissed the squad meeting in order for them to take a good night rest…
