"Just so you know, I really detest the idea of holding back during a fight" Boaruss said with a grin as he sized Gale up. "So do I" remarked Gale as he circled Boaruss waiting for a time to strike.
With a furious roar Boaruss charged at Gale; his right hand glowing with a golden light. Gale leapt up some meters up in the air, dodging the massive punch Boaruss had aimed at him.
Boaruss wasted no time and with a massive leap propelled himself in the air as he towered over Gale who was seemingly floating in the air, Boaruss's clenched his fists together as he tried to knock Gale back to the floor. Gale raised his forearms blocking the attack which collided into his arms and sent him crashing into the floor. Gale groaned in pain; his forearms bulging with pain, he had used a layer of air to cushion the blow but yet his arms still felt like they were on the verge of breaking.
Boaruss quickly ran forward as he swung his right arm at Gale in a bid to knock him out. Gale dodged the attack by moving to the right before he landed a kick on Boaruss's Jaw. Boaruss due to the momentum of his attack stumbled forward when the kick landed on his right jaw. Gale took advantage of his slight disorientation and delivered another kick to Boaruss right leg. Gale however gritted his teeth in pain when he landed his attack for it felt like though he had struck a rock.
Sensing a slight disturbance in the airflow around him, Gale managed to dodge a fatal kick that still managed to graze his cheek. Boaruss catching Gale off guard landed a powerful right hook that sent him crashing into a nearby tree.
Gale cursed as he tasted blood, but alas Boaruss gave him no time to rest before he unleashed another powerful blow aimed at Gale's face. Gale caught the fist in his hand, and once again cursed inwardly as he crashed into another tree; his hand clutching his belly. "Come on I haven't even used my earth gift yet" Boaruss said as he walked towards Gale. Gale got up to his feet and laughed: "You will soon have to". Boaruss hissed in pain as his shirt ripped open to reveal a bloody slash, he charged forward; his arms in front of him as more and more wind blades slashed at his body. Gale kept on maintaining his distance as he kept on attacking with wind slashes which fortunately were pretty shallow but still strong enough to make Boaruss bleed. Using an earth pillar that shot up from the ground beneath him, Boaruss jumped into the air before he crashed into the ground; sending slight tremors throughout the clearing.
Gale evaded the attack quite easily as he jumped into the air. Boaruss of course knew that was the only option Gale could take to evade his attack and so mustering all his strength he hurled a small pebble at Gale. The pebble turned into a blur as it travelled with a huge amount of speed, Gale noticed the fast moving projectile and quickly jumped again in the air. The pebble continued its course as it crashed into a tree and imbedded itself at the other side of it's trunk. Diamond frowned before she hollered at the top of her voice "You Idiot this isn't a life or death situation you know". "Yeah that rock would have killed him" Emerald added with a slap of her forehead. Okuagu and Lee simply watched with great interest behind the ice wall Lee had just recently conjured
"It's so touching that you gals actually care" Gale said as he bowed mockingly. "No we don't, bandages and herbs are pretty expensive nowadays" Diamond retorted. Alas Gale couldn't say his own thoughts as countless earth spikes surged from the ground beneath him. "How rude" remarked Gale as he sliced the many spikes with wind blades. Boaruss sighed in annoyance as his body once again shone with the golden light. "I'll have to make sure I land the first hit" Gale reasoned before he surrounded himself with gusts of winds masking his presence in the gusts.
Boaruss frowned as he slowly concentrated on finding Gale's position. He however roared in pain as a punch landed on his jaw, Boaruss retaliated with a punch of his own which struck nothing but air. More attacks landed on Boaruss luminous body as the gust of winds changed position making Gale almost invincible.Gale decided to end this fight with an attack that he had only recently formed. Gathering some huge amounts of wind from his 'windshield', Gale channeled the wind into his palm and released it at Boaruss. Boaruss struggled to stay on his feet as the 'wind ball' crashed into his chest sending him some steps backward. The whole environment around the clearing seemed to be in disarray with trees swaying violently and even little wildlife running away from the area. Boaruss gritted his teeth as he walked through the winds leaving deep imprints on the ground with every step he took. Boaruss roared in fury before he stomped on the ground sending massive tremors through the ground once more. Gale jumped into the air panting for he had already exerted his gift with his recent attacks. "I WIN! Roared Boaruss through gritted teeth; as he lifted a massive boulder before using all of his strength to hurl it at the currently airborne Gale. Gale summoning all of his energy performed a shocking backflip in the air as he narrowly evaded the boulder before he landed on the branch of an adjacent tree while the boulder continued to fly forward as it crashed through some trees. Boaruss caught his breath for some minutes before he spoke dejectedly: "I can't believe all of our spars ended in ties". Gale gave a sigh of relief as he inwardly thanked Lee that was currently holding a cracked pocket watch.
"I can't wait for the labyrinth" Boaruss remarked as he joined the others on their way back to the mansion for a well deserved rest.
