"Well, this is the Core or heart of a TARDIS. As you can see, it beats like a normal heart but appears cybernetic, since, as you will learn in the future, TARDISes are living organisms."
---
**POV - NARRATOR**
"The heart of the TARDIS is where it purifies and creates all of its 'blood,' just like our hearts purify and pump blood throughout our bodies. The process is similar, just with a TARDIS."
"You have 15 minutes to approach and observe the heart, but no touching." He says this with a stern look at everyone, especially at two students in particular.

**SCENE BREAK**
**POV - ■■■■■■**
**LOCATION - INSIDE A TARDIS**
"So, Graiger, what did you note down? I wrote everything. I found it interesting, and I'm sure the professor will test us on these topics."
Graiger was looking at a hologram of notes and turned to ■■■■■. "I wrote everything too. It's fascinating to see how a TARDIS works on the inside."
"Come on, everyone, back to our classroom. Other groups still need to visit this TARDIS," the professor says, grabbing the attention of the students who were chatting amongst themselves.
As we leave the TARDIS, we see several other groups exiting different TARDISes. 'They must be doing the same as us.'
"So, after tomorrow, we're heading home. Where are we going this time? Last time, we got in trouble for stealing Gargantosaurus eggs and were banned from going out on a ship for almost a year, haha," Graiger says, laughing excitedly.
"We could explore the mountains. There must be something interesting we've never seen before," I suggest.
"Yes, you're right. And we can test the prototype of my new beauties, my laser guns," Graiger says, excited.
"But those looked like toys, hahaha. Graiger, do you think they'll work? Last time, you nearly regenerated because the laser inside them exploded, haha," I say with a mischievous grin.
Graiger, hearing this, gets a bit sulky and embarrassed, trying to argue. "That was just testing. Now they're capable of firing a laser beam strong enough to cut through rocks."
"Okay, we'll test them and explore Gallifrey, since we haven't seen everything on the planet yet. I want to see the River Lethe again," I say, excited, always eager to discover what has changed in Gallifrey. It's always been fun to explore and uncover "new" things on Gallifrey.
After this conversation, we arrive at the classroom, and the professor begins to speak: "Well, as you've all seen how the main parts of a TARDIS work, I want each of you to write a detailed explanation of every part you observed in the TARDIS."
Many students didn't like the assignment. 'Too bad for them.'
"So, you're dismissed for today. Tomorrow, submit your explanations, and you'll be free to go home, as we won't see each other for the next six months," the professor says with a smile.
"Are you going to write your explanation now? Because I am. I want to hand it in quickly and get home to check on my prototypes and prepare for our little adventure," Graiger says, excited.
"Yes, tomorrow at sunrise, I'll be ready to submit mine," I say with a cheerful laugh.
"I'm heading to my room. I have things to review before going home, and I need to do it early," Graiger replies.
"Okay, see you tomorrow in class."
Hearing this, Graiger waves and heads off to his room, which is a bit far from mine.

**SCENE BREAK**
**POV - ■■■■■**
**LOCATION - ACADEMY EXIT**
Graiger has already left with his mother, as his father is a busy man, being the head of House Heartshaven.
Gilia came to pick me up as usual. I don't know much about Time Lord relationships; even in Doctor Who, it's said that they're quite cold, with the Doctor never seeing Susan's mother, his granddaughter.
'But Gilia is very loving towards me, and I think she considers me practically her child, given that in all the scrapes I've gotten into with Graiger, she's always scolded me and was worried.'
"Hello, ■■■■■■, how are your classes and grades going? Have you made any new friends besides Graiger? Because you're terrible at making friends," she says with a mischievous smile, running her hand over my head.
'Her hand always feels comforting.' "No, Gilia, I didn't make any new friends, and I know how to make friends; they just don't appreciate my brilliance."
Hearing this, Gilia gives me a dry smile and narrows her eyes. "Of course, it's not because you call everyone who makes mistakes on complex matters 'apes,' right?"
"They're not complex, Gilia; they just don't learn."
Gilia responds, "Don't learn? Like how to combine two species?"
Hearing this, I feel embarrassed. "Gilia, let's go," I urge her to board the ship.
"Of course, let's go, ■■■■■■," she says with a victorious smile, seeing that I couldn't refute her.
We head towards House Lungbarrow.
When we arrive, I unload everything I brought from the academy and put it in my room, which is exactly how I left it last time. Gilia probably never touches anything.
"Let's eat, ■■■■■■! You must be tired from studying," Gilia calls out from the dining room.
"I'm coming, Gilia! I'm just finishing up organizing my things!"
After finishing up, I head to the dining room, which has a massive table. I once asked Gilia why, and she said it was for guests and all the other cousins of House Lungbarrow, who rarely gather, as they are living their own lives.
"So, what are you going to do during this break? Don't get into trouble again, like last time," Gilia asks.
"I'm planning to go to Graiger's house to check out the prototypes he's building. Don't worry, I don't get into trouble," I say with a smile while eating.
Gilia looks at me with suspicion; I guess she doesn't believe me much after the last few problematic episodes I had with Graiger.
But she doesn't say anything. Time Lords, in general, are quite liberal when it comes to letting their children roam freely around the cities, as long as they return home safely and stay in touch.
When I finish eating, I head to my room, as tomorrow Graiger and I will explore more of the outer areas of Gallifrey. The houses are in the Capitol, but each one is far from the center, surrounding the city. The dome is incredibly beautiful.
When I reach my room, I see my drawings of the Space Whale, one of the few animals that can survive in the vacuum of space.
"I have to prepare for tomorrow. Bring on another adventure."

Author's note: First adventure I'm going to write for him. Now, just wait and see if it turns out well. Let me know if the pacing is okay.
Author's note: This chapter mainly served to show the interaction between Gilia and Graiger with Traveler.
