Andrew's POV
"Who says I am shy? Are you even ready to see what I have got? You sure it won't be too much for you to handle?" Jade said to me, with a mock seriousness, and I burst into laughter.
"Other than what I have been seeing?" I asked her, after I had stopped laughing. A warm smile spread on her gorgeous face and I smiled with satisfaction at that.
That was how I wanted to be seeing her, always. I would keep pretending to be comfortable being just friends with her if that was what it took to be seeing her happy by my side.
Of course, it was hurting me and killing my wolf that we hadn't marked her or claimed her as our mate.
It took every bit of self control to act like I wasn't bothered by how Jade had withdrawn from my hold, earlier when we nearly kissed. But I pretended to act like it didn't happen so I could at least keep her by my side as a friend.
