Chapter 18 - Joseph Stalin

Alex asked a few more questions, but at this point, he felt like he had nothing left to say to God, so he said:

"I have nothing more to discuss, so can you let me go now? I have a lot of work to do."

God looked at him but didn't seem to intend to let him go immediately. Instead, He said:

"Do you want me to erase the memory of this conversation?"

Alex suddenly frowned, feeling as though he was being seen through. He said:

"Didn't you say you wouldn't read my thoughts? Why aren't you keeping your word?"

"I didn't read your thoughts, but do you think I'm stupid? Normally, I don't like using my transcendent intellect too much because it's boring, but the intelligence I'm using right now is just a bit higher than yours."

Hearing this, Alex didn't know what else to say, but he still wanted to compromise a bit.

"Then I swear I will never reveal what happened today and will treat it as if it never occurred. Also, after reaching the soul level, I will completely seal off this memory so that no one else will ever see it. Is that acceptable? After all, even if you erase my memory, I would still try to deduce the truth. It might take tens or hundreds of years, but I don't mind the time."

God found Alex's reasoning acceptable. Even if the memory was erased, the ability to deduce wouldn't be lost. Thus, He nodded and replied:

"Fine, go back. I hope you do better than the original future trajectory."

"Hahaha, this time, I'm sure I will die, but humanity will definitely pass the test."

Alex's tone was full of confidence, but it didn't sound like boasting. Seeing this, God just smiled before disappearing.

The reason Alex was so confident was because of the change in God's plan. Although God seemed to be rambling earlier, He had actually given Alex plenty of hints.

This is a test for all of humanity, so the most important condition for passing it is to unite humanity as soon as possible.

Afterward, it is necessary to maintain that unity for at least one thousand three hundred years to have a significant chance of success. Although many humans will die, it is still far better than the original trajectory, where only six figures remained.

In the original future trajectory, humanity was caught so off guard by the attack that there was no time to prepare. However, even though a world war is about to break out now, Alex is confident that he can quell it within twenty years.

Although he has never been a leader, he isn't entirely clueless because he has been acquainted with many talented leaders of humanity.

But before he can establish his own power, he needs to gather the key members—specifically, the future demons and saints, along with those who have reached the emperor level. These individuals will be crucial combat forces during humanity's decisive phase.

…..

Some time ago in Russia, there was also a man who, as a journalist, was preparing to take action.

"It's time for our great Soviet Union to reappear on this world stage. This time, there will be no misguided leadership. Right now, that place is probably gathering a lot of people, isn't it?"

He then took a Soviet flag and headed to a nearby square.

After another fifteen minutes of driving, he finally arrived at the place, where he saw at least thousands, possibly even tens of thousands of people gathered there.

He strapped the flag to his back and ran straight to the center of the square, where someone was currently giving a report on the situation.

He waited for that person to finish speaking, then stepped onto the platform and began his speech. The other person didn't even have time to react before hearing his voice.

"Hi everyone, you must have all realized by now that the era has changed. The Earth today and the Earth of yesterday are no longer the same thing. This is both a challenge and an opportunity for us.

Do you remember how strong and great our country was in the last century? I'm sure the answer is yes, because every Russian citizen remembers those glorious historical years. Our great comrades and people stood up to save the world from the expansion of the fascists. The Soviet Union was the true hero of this world.

But what about now? Why have we fallen into our current situation? Why has the strongest Soviet Union in the world become as weak as it is today? In the latter part of the last century, we weakened due to a group of incompetent and useless leaders. But after the current president came to power, Russia changed rapidly in a positive direction.

But if leadership has improved, then why haven't we seen the glory of the past? Of course, it's because of the hateful Americans and NATO. They sanctioned us and incited nations that were once our brothers and comrades to turn against us.

Russia's economy was severely affected, leading to many people living in hunger and poverty. Many of our comrades, brothers, and friends have sacrificed themselves in the wars sparked by those scoundrels.

Do any one of you accept this?"

The emphasis in his final words startled the crowd. But soon after, shouts erupted.

"No way."

"We won't accept that."

"They must pay for their actions."

.....

"You're absolutely right, they must pay for what they've done. We are a heroic nation, once willing to sacrifice blood and bone to drive out evil from this world. And today, we will make history once again.

Those who, for their own gain, push innocent people into poverty, misery, and endless war must be eradicated from this world. I am Joseph Stalin! I vow to become the vanguard in bringing justice to this world.

I want to restore our great Soviet Union. I want our brothers, friends, and loved ones to be free from the suffering of war. I want to annihilate all those bastards who have led our brothers astray. I want this world to embrace true peace, where everyone can pursue their dreams, laugh freely, and not fear being suddenly dragged into war. Today's sacrifice is for a brighter future.

Long live the Soviet Union!"
