Chapter 20 - Winston Churchill

The French national flag fluttered in the wind as if it were responding to Napoleon's call. No matter how the flag had changed over time, it remained the flag of France - the flag that once stood at the pinnacle of the world.

People all across France, both native citizens and those who had come to see themselves as true Frenchmen, unanimously responded to his words. In their eyes, France in recent decades no longer held the grandeur it once possessed.

The military had become pitifully weak, suffering defeat after defeat in the last century. Most notably, it had been so feeble that it had been utterly crushed in just six weeks by that man, becoming the laughingstock of the world.

How could a once - great empire fail to muster any resistance against a country which not long ago had been a cripple? This was truly unacceptable.

If that great man, who shook the human history, had been born in that era, France would never have fallen into such disgrace.

Now, the French people had nothing to be proud of except for their past. They had fallen from the heights to a place so distant, and at such a rapid and disappointing pace.

This time, under Napoleon's leadership, they were determined to reclaim their former glory and restore their status as the greatest nation in the world.

.....

If France was determined to rise, then England would not be left behind. In England, there was a young politician with a penchant for cigars, gambling, and frequent drinking.

As was his habit, he had just had a cigar in his mouth. But after the recent upheaval, he seemed to transform into an entirely different person. He threw the cigar to the ground and crushed it underfoot, his eyes now holding a new determination.

"I never knew how to revive England, to bring her back to her glorious days of world domination, but now I know what should I do. The things I once enjoyed are now nothing but trash. The endless glory of England is all I desire."

With that, he immediately rushed to a crowded place to deliver a speech. In truth, he was usually no different from the others - he rarely had to speech.

But after the upheaval, it was as if the era itself was calling on him to do something. He seemed to have undergone a rebirth, becoming a completely different person.

Clearly, it wasn't God who did anything - this was his true nature. There are those chosen by destiny to sway an era, but they all need a catalyst to awaken them.

The appearance of martial souls couldn't have been a better catalyst to simultaneously awaken all the great figures of this time.

He drove around to observe the situation and, after a while, finally found a crowd. Though there were only a few thousand people, it was enough.

He naturally thought about the fact that they would likely have phones and record his speech. Even if the spread was slow, it would eventually reach all of England.

He quickly moved to a visible position with a microphone connected to the public address system.

"Ladies and gentlemen, please lend me your attention for a moment."

The crowd turned their focus to him and fell somewhat quieter than before. Seeing this, he continued:

"I deeply regret the losses you've suffered after the recent events. But with hardship comes opportunity. What do you think of our great England as it stands now?

To be honest, it's in a dismal and embarrassing state compared to the former British Empire. The economy is stagnant, and our global standing isn't what it used to be. We once stood at the pinnacle of prestige, the pinnacle of power in this world. But what about now?

We are continuously weakening, and this is unacceptable. We are a strong, intelligent, and decisive people. We are the true leaders of this world. God has given us an opportunity - a chance to completely change our standing.

The British Empire now has a once-in-a-millennium opportunity to become great again. Our country, our people, are the true leaders of humanity. Only we can lead humanity to a bright future. Only we can create true peace in this world.

I am Winston Churchill, and I swear to dedicate my life and my very being to restoring the British Empire. Let eternal glory encompass us once more.

Long live the British Empire!"

The crowd responded in unison to his call.

"Long live the British Empire!"

"Long live the British Empire!"

"Long live the British Empire!"

.....

They had waited a long time for this day - the time had come for the glorious past to be reborn. They, the great British Empire, had once led an era.

Now, the economy was declining, riots and protests were rampant, and many ridiculous things were happening that had no place in a great empire. This was a disgrace to the mighty British Empire.

Winston himself felt deeply upset by this. He could not bear to watch the great empire gradually fade away, soon to become just another ordinary nation. He would never allow this because, in his heart, the British Empire was the true leader of all humanity.

"That's right! We - this generation - will restore the glory of our homeland. It's time to show the world who we are. We are the British people, the great British Empire. We are the chosen ones by God to lead humanity to the brightest future."

Winston shouted with all his might. At this moment, his eyes were fixed on that distant future with hope and confidence. He was certain that this great nation would once again stand at the pinnacle of the world, and this time, it would be forever, without any mistakes.

But it wouldn't be easy. God didn't choose anyone to be the leader. Whether they could achieve it would depend on their own abilities.

Everyone now had the opportunity to fight with all they had - to see, in the end, who truly had the right to lead all of humanity.

"Yes, long live the British Empire!"

"This generation is the one that will reclaim what is ours."

"The time has come for the great empire to reunite this world."

.....

The passionate support of the people reflected an indomitable national pride that endured despite the passage of years. No matter how weak the country might seem now, the greatest British Empire always resided in the heart of every true Englishman.
