The gorilla let him go for five rounds before the boos suddenly died and every one of them looked at him with interest. Seeing that its opponent was running away, it started chasing after him.
The gorilla started running. At first, Marx thought that it was running after him but it when it passed him, he realized what it was doing.
He realized that it was also the ho..alpha monkey's idea. So it was trying to intimidate him by making him lose to it. He could care less as he kept up with his pace.
The monkeys started cheering when they saw the gorilla on the lead. It continued and he never caught up with the gorilla. It even went round him twice.
He finally heard the system's voice telling him that he had reached the target. It appeared he had gone 17 more rounds.
He was panting heavily but the gorilla appeared calm. When it saw that he had stopped, it stoppped too and waited to see if he was going to act.
Marx could only rejoice in the inside. If the monkey thought that it was smart, then it was in for the greatest regret of its life.
He quickly lay on his back and he could feel the weird gazes coming from the monkeys. All was silent as they watched him start doing sit-ups.
None of them understood what he was doing but some monkeys excitedly entered the stadium and started mimicking him. The entire stadium was suddenly filled with monkeys mimicking him.
He found this funny but enjoyed the fact that they were giving him time to regain his boost. He also saw the alpha join them. The gorilla was having a hard time doing sit-ups.
Marx finally heard the system's count reach 300 and he stopped. They also stopped when they saw him stop. They all stared at him excitedly waiting for his next move.
He stared at all that were on the stadium and chuckled. Especially the h..alpha monkey. He just turned into push-up position and started doing push-ups.
He stopped at the second count and looked at the monkeys. They all had taken the same posture and started doing push-ups. Some gave up midway.
The gorilla had managed only ten. Only the alpha and few that did not number more than twenty managed to do the 100. He rejoiced as he heard the system's voice.
He stood up fast and decided to test his strength. The strength and a refreshing feeling washed over him. He stared at the monkeys near him and evil thoughts ran through his mind.
He raised his foot backwards as if he was preparing for a penalty kick and the monkey close to him was sent flying into the stadium's seats.
He was certain that it died. But could he care more? Of course not. He turned his evil gaze to another monkey and saw it's pleading eyes.
This just made him excited as he kicked it sending it outside the stadium. The other monkeys seeing the change he had, started running back to their seats.
The alpha had a complex look on its face as it rushed to its seat. As they were running, Marx managed to send another five outside the stadium.
It was finally just him and the gorilla. He still had the evil gaze as he jogged. He felt excited for he was about to kick some giant gorilla ass.
The arena had turned quiet and the monkeys still had a horrified look. But their worries were washed away when the gorrila roared at him and slammed it's fists on its chest.
Marx again was unfazed but the monkeys still had their excited chattering. The gorilla used the same attack it had used the first time but it was blocked.
The monkeys which had anticipated to see him sent flying had erupted in cheers but they were silenced with their mouths wide open.
The giant fist was held with one hand and from the looks, the gorilla was straining. They watched horrified as he jumped backwards a few steps.
The gorilla was unexpectedly caught off balance and was slammed into the ground face first. There was a reverberation that shook the ground slightly.
Marx released the gorilla and turned to look at the monkeys. He had an amused smile as he watched their horrified faces. He turned and saw the gorilla stand.
It had unbelieving eyes. That was just impossible. It was the second strongest creature in the empire of the alpha monkey. It scratched the ground and roared at Marx.
It beat its chest several times and Marx could see that it was hurting. But the desired effect its actions were supposed to bring never occurred.
All was still. It charged at Marx on all fours. It shook the ground but Marx was still unfazed. He charged at it and using his right hand he reached for its head.
The gorilla seeing like it was being insulted charged at top speed and slammed into his hand. The cheers from the monkeys had almost risen but stopped immediately they came.
The impact of the collision caused a wind behind Marx but he did not even take a step back. Not even bothering to close his eyes. The gorilla felt like it had slammed into a wall.
It tried pushing forward but it was impossible. It was just like the same way it could not push a wall. It gave up and stepped backwards to charge again.
Marx was not in the mood to waste more time as he charged at the gorilla. His eyes seemed focused and he was aiming for the chest the gorilla had been hitting to intimidate him.
It's large body size came with slow reaction. Still on all fours, it was unable to react in time and ended up taking the full blunt of the punch.
Marx's fist landed on its chest cleanly and the gorilla did not even register the pain before it fell unconcious. It was no longer on the ground and it was dangling on Marxs fist which was raised.
Deadpan silence. Not a single monkey dared close its eyes. The scene was unprecedented. The gorilla was the second strongest creature but it did not stand a chance.
The alpha could not help but start wondering just where it went wrong. Didn't the first hit send him flying? Just how come he had become so strong?
It could only attribute his strength with what he had done after the first hit. But that was not supposed to make him stronger. But why was he so strong?
It raised its right hand and the stadium's larger doors were opened. The dead pan silence was broken and when the monkeys saw the next opponent, they erupted once again in cheers.
They were all excited. This gorilla could destroy a wall with its fist. It walked proudly on all fours. It was almost two meters wide and it had large canines sticking out of its mouth.
It's eyes were black such that combined with its black nose, it gave of a scary and intimidating look. It was about three meters tall while walking on all fours. It was four meters long.
It appeared to be angry. This was probably because the one he had rendered unconscious was one of its family. If Marx knew that it was its wife, or say mate, he could have understood its current anger.
But he could in the least be bothered. No matter how strong it was, he was going to give it the same fate as the previous one. He was ready to give the next victim the same treatment.
He watched as the gorilla picked the one he had just rendered unconcious with both hands. It had a caring look on its face and its eyes were gentle. It then leaped while it carried it with the other hand.
At first, he thought that it was running away but he realized that it was clearing the arena. It placed it at the door and turned to look at him.
The calm gentle eyes turned violent and its look sent a cold shiver down his spine. He watched as the gorilla charged at him and stood five meter away from him.
Its size alone intimidated Marx. It was ten meters tall. Looking at its chest, it appeared like a playground with no fur. It had abs! Marx unconciously took a step back.
He felt like an ant. He look at its head which appeared very distant. It had strong muscles and its next action sent more shivers down his spine.
The other monkeys were all excited and cheering. The gorilla roared. Marx was forced to close his ears for it felt like they would burst.
But the bass from the roar still shook him. The monkeys were excited now especially after seeing his reaction. They had seen the light the had lost.
The gorilla slammed its fists on its chest. The sound that came felt like bass drums...
