Priscilla's Pov
I drove my car instantly to meet Alaric as soon as I got the news.
My heart was pounding furiously, I could recall the last moment I spoke to Lucifer. I took a deep breath in order not to lose my sanity.
I remembered the words my psychotic father said the day my son went missing."you can't hide forever."
"I can try, I did it for sixteen years," I said crossing my arm.
He let out a wicked smile" Come back home with me."
"You tried to kill me and now you want me to go back," I said in disbelief, walking to my car.
"Can't a father miss his daughter."
I turned sharply at him throwing my arms in the air" Wow, father of the year."
"You can't still resent your father, Caramelo."
I felt the tears fill my eyes "You do not get to call me that" I said pointing a finger at him.
"Your mother's death was a necessary evil."
I scoffed "She was burnt to ash"
"She betrayed me."He frowned and continued, same as you but I've decided to be merciful to my flesh and blood."
"Why are you here Lucifer," I asked.
"Hand over the demon child and you will be welcome back to the coven."
Hearing his words I bit my lip slightly.
"He's my son, your grandchild" I added.
"He's an abomination, a catastrophe. According to the ancient prophecy he is going to end the witches and destroy the supernatural. That child is a mistake,a curse."
"He's a child."
"I plan to correct that mistake. Bring him before the coven and you wouldn't have to face what's coming." Lucifer narrowed his eyes to me.
Hearing those words made me feel uneasy, I knew Lucifer was never someone to make an empty threat.
I noticed Alaric was lost in his thoughts, I waved a hand over his face.
"Hey" I said and it brought him back to reality.
"We should go," he said calmly as he walked past me.
It was obvious something was on his mind.
"What's on your mind." I said as I tailed after him.
Everything was just turning upside down outside my twisted father and his bloodhounds I wonder what else he brought.
I got to my car, turning the engine on when the door swung open, revealing Alaric as he hopped in, slamming the door with a burst of energy.
"What are you doing in my car "I asked furiously.
"If you asked me love I'll say your vehicle is quite small, "he said, uncomfortably adjusting his seating posture.
"If you are going to nag me then get out."
"Woo, no need to be a feisty tiger." He winked while I scoffed.
I turned the engine on "Where are you headed."
He moved closer whispering in a husky voice.
"Anywhere you are headed, love."
I blinked back realizing we were inches apart I kept my eyes on the road.
His soft laughter filled the atmosphere" What so funny" I asked.
He gently tucked my hair behind my ears and teasingly said, 'Your ears turn red when you're shy.' It's adorable!"
I perked up and covered my ears, completely forgetting that my hands were supposed to be on the wheel.
"Hey, hands on the wheel!" He reminded, giving the car dashboard a gentle tap with his palm." safety first."
I swiftly took hold of the wheel. How did he catch on to that? He was relishing my flustered state.
I cleared my throat, pressing my hands tightly on the wheel. The Alaric I knew 16 years ago was always reserved but this man by my side was shamelessly flirting with me.
"Why are you here Alaric."
"I came here for you, love." He said bluntly.
I scoffed mentally, after all I've been through trusting people isn't an option.
"So where are we headed."
"Greenville high," I said keeping a straight face.
I literally could feel this intense gaze piercing through me " What?" I question.
He stared briefly into his watch"School doesn't close until 2 O'clock."
"I need to get my son, with all the crazy things already happening I need to know he's safe and far from my father's grasp."
He used his hand as a support stool as he leaned on the side of the window.
The breeze flushed over his silver hair, the sun couldn't help but illuminate his wonderful features.
"I'm sure the boy's fine besides he's a strong lad You worry for nothing," he added.
I put the vehicle to a halt when I saw the inscription on the building in front of me stating GREENVILLE high.
"If you have a psychotic father whose aim is to murder your son I'm sure you would be less concerned," I said closing the door after me.
Alaric and I went to the principal's office and I requested to see my son with the excuse it was an emergency.
My heart ran into my stomach when I heard her voice.
"Mrs Smith, Miles has been absent from class since the 4th period."
"What?" I question with disbelief written over my face. "I dropped him off at school this morning, what do you mean he's absent."
She placed her hands on the table leaning a little bit forward, her fingers intertwined "Mrs Smith I think Miles is skipping classes."
"What? My son would never, he's a good kid."
"Calm down she never said he was a bad kid, she just said Miles might be skipping classes." Alaric spoke."
"Have you checked if he's within school premises..." He added concern written over his words.
"What about Theo, Theo Rodriguez where is he? " I asked, cutting in between Alaric sentences.
I burst the door open and slammed it after me."calm down we are going to find him." Alaric tried to give me words of comfort.
I could feel my chest tighten " The protection spell I placed over him is wearing off, which means anyone can find him" I nearly broke down in tears.
Alaric grabbed my shoulder " Hey look at me,we are going to find him."
