Exiting the small village within his dungeon, Skuggir passed by a shot human, only giving her a glance before he continued back to his brand new boss room. In the back of the room he had started the mining for a new staircase so he could build a large cavernous area.
Skuggir didn't want a maze like dungeon with loads of traps and monsters, as after some considerations that would cost a lot of money, minions, and the adventurers would eventually map out the entire inside.
evening is he where to rearrange the room every so often, they would just start to map it by room! so instead of trying to fight them, he decided to make a large cavern with monsters scattered around real to ambush and kill invades at a moments notice, in conjunction with secret passages and rooms filled with loot for those who found it.
The stone stairs where coming along nicely, their crude form spiraling down into the stone beneath the previous step. the steps would need to go down about 4,166 steps at an average height of 24 cm to get a suitable distance for the cavern to match Skuggirs expectations.
even in another world you can't avoid the grind of construction, feels like I'm playing one of those open world survival games again. Skuggirs hard work had reminded him of his previous life, and how he would spend hours construction large buildings, and modify terrain to match what he had imagined prior to starting his labors projects. 'This will be my best creation yet, suitable for me to live in here for eternity, or until I die. Do I die? probably not from age.'
after checking up on his skeleton minions, Skuggir wandered towards the first room where the looming stone door would have casted a large shadow had there been light. Eliminating some Adventurers along the way Skuggir walked up to the large stone doors knowing that beyond these doors was a city of probably hostile people. attempting too use the door, Skuggir felt a reaction to start before it quickly died out.
[Cannot take the dungeon core out of the dungeon]
'So If I take it out then I can' leave? Trying just that, Skuggir leaves his core in the protection of his hoplites before heading out of the dungeon, only to be blocked again.
[Dungeon Soul unable to leave the dungeon]
giving out a boney sigh, at least in his own mind, Skuggir returned to, and fetched, his Dungeon core knowing that he is the dungeon and would probably never be able to leave.
Feeling something wrong, Skuggir assembled his small group of Eclipse Skeltons, consisting of the archers and hoplites, and readied himself in the giant skeletons boss room. with his unease rising and his phylactery and dungeon core trembling, a physical reaction of his tension and mounting tension.
after only a few more moments a group of adventurers burst through the doors, their gear a clear cut above anything this dungeon had seen before. Swords made of a deep blue that skuggir could identify as mythril, and shields made of a deep black wood. behind the swordsmen where archers decked in light plate armor and multiple quivers could be seen dotted across their armor, on on each side of their hips, one on their thighs, and a larger quiver on their back, each one holding different types of arrows. at the forfront of the group of five consisting of two swordsmen, two archers, the Leader a large man with a tower shield in each hand and muscles that bulged out from his fully covered plate armor form.
with the doors opened and their eyes locked onto Skuggir, not even acknowledging the Skeleton giant, the Leader started to shout to his companions. "that's a Lich, their smart and sometimes have special abilities."
in response the only female in the group, one of the archers responded with her acute own observation, "Cap'in the phylactery seems to be the dungeons core, that's not recorded anywhere be very carful." before taking out a arrow from her thigh and drawing it back. the arrow immeditly incited with holy light.
'Hah, that may have worked on the weaker skeletons that guarded the entrance, but I'm immune as what Enya would call a Child of god!' skuggir thought while laughing like a third rate villain within his head, letting the arrow hit him.
the arrow hit his body and felt nice, like fast warm water flowing between your fingers. Not too let them react, Skuggir quickly followed up their attack with a large blast of plasma, which was dodged with a simple sidestep by most of the group.
not being idle either the Hoplites who out numbered the three melee fighters of their group by two to one, charged forward to occupy their close ranged fighters.
not to ne left out the Eclipse Skeleton archers climbed on-top of the Skeleton giant before trying to kill off the opposing archers, keeping them form supporting their fellow adventurers with whatever other tricky arrows they possessed.
the man with black tower shields in each hand, ran forward to meet the hoplites and seated them with his shields, not to disimiler to how the Skeleton giant would usually swat at its own prey. the scene of a man barely contained by his own armor at the height of 190cm waving two shields around like fly swatters would be comical in any other situation but his flailing journey would be cut short as he had to block a beam of plasma coming right for his head, almost taking it off the rest of his body!
Skuggir was impressed the wooden black shield could withstand the power of the super heated plasma. Seeing that their position was bad, the Male of the archer duo whipped out a banner from his back that had been hanging there.
when the banner unfurled to show a constellation of a man of stars, wielding a book his head turned off into the distance as if looking for something.

criticism is encouraged as I'm still a new writer and this is my first novel I'm taking seriously! more stuff in authors thoughts.
