Chapter 18 - Chapter 18| Deus

With the power of a Diety newly assimilated into Skuggirs body, he opened his system window too see what he needed to progress himself forward on the path to becoming stronger.

While Skuggir didn't need to get stronger for survival — unless the gods had some way to magical kill him if he wasn't entertaining enough — Skuggir also wanted to get stronger just for the sake of killing time and getting cool super powers.

To Skuggir his new life hadn't truly set in to be anything more than a video game until after watching the female mage beg for mercy. Even after the pitiful display from the mage, Skuggirs perception had only shifted slightly, and he wasn't yet ready to consciously acknowledge his new world as real.

Skuggirs god-granted System opened up an upon his thought showed his new requirement for his next power boost and cool abilities.

[Requirements for evolution not met]

[uncover the gate of machine 0/1]

[learn the skill "Universal Language Comprehension" 0/1]

[Setup a town 0%]

[make the dungeon creature manifestation ready 72.753% ]

Looking at the list Skuggir could only think of how odd and outlandish these requirements where!

Why is there mentions of machines within his requirements, Isn't this a world of magic, and medieval knowledge? why would need to learn a language skill when he can already understand the People who live near his dungeon?

Sensing hs confusion, the System generated a Smily face on top of the message "You got this host" before vanishing again.

"Was that supposed to encourage me? can the system talk?" Thinking about how the system could seemingly respond to his emotions he tried to go a step further, "Hey system, how would I find this gate?" and it worked!

[hint 1000 gold]

"what are you, a prodigy scammer?

[hint 1200 gold]

"AH! I mean what a nice system who graciously granted me this gift!" Skuggir shouted out loud due to his panic and astonishment.

Emptying his bank account to only twelve gold left, Skuggir begrudgingly bought the hint. The hint manifest before him as an arrow that pointed in a straight Line towards the door that lead to his brand new staircase.

"Soo~ just keep digging huh." And with this thought, Skuggir sent his Skeltons away to get pickaxes, while he started to use [Mould earth] to force the stone down and into the walls slowly compacting it until he couldn't.

After he couldn't compact it any more Skuggir would then just rip it out to create rocks that he threw into the room behind him. filling in the holes with the stone he had yet to compress or move.

After more than a day of digging and a dozen plus interruptions, one of the skeletons struck a thick slab of metal. The metal slabs deep echo resounding through the small cave they had dug.

The excavation of the entire gate took more then a few hours, and in the end the entire five meter high and three in length construct made up entirely of a silvery metal with a green sheen, was revealed.

Faced with the door, and having confirmed it was the gate of machine, Skuggir now understood why he needed to be able to know all languages. Across the front of the gates arched top — a metal replica of the stone one he first came into this world at — where three words he didn't understand.

the words where in Latin alphabet that Earth used, and even in what he thought was latin, he had no clue what they said except for the first word "Deus". and deus meant god.

checking his shop for the skill [Universal Language Comprehension] he found it just within his new budget of 1234 gold he had racked up from the invaders that had been assaulting Skuggir for the past few days while he dug out the tunnel that now need to be expanded to the size of the for itself and riddled with traps and Skeltons.

[ Skill [Universal Language Comprehension] - 1000 gold ]

crying at the price, Skuggir emptied his wallet once more, as he stepped one step closer to being able to evolve.

"now just to setup a town and make the dungeon able to spawn its own monsters!" Skuggir thought to himself as he marched to the large boss arena.

with the large circular room now empty after the disintegration of the Skelton giant, Skuggir was now planning to increase its size to about double and build a small town.

ordering his Skeltons to start the mining effort Skuggir went out to the small village that the followers Ormr had started to build.

Entering the village, many inhabitants showed fear, and apprehension. While Skuggir might be a monster that their god had created and sent down to guard and build their sanctuary, he was still a monster that killed humans.

Most of them put no trust into the imposing Lich and his minions, only here because their head priest had received a message from god, and they trusted Enya.

Looking for Enya, Skuggir wandered why this small village did not count as a town in the systems eyes. Before his thought was was finished the system had already offered him a hint but he was to broke to except it.

taken from his disjoint meant by Enya, Skuggir comprehended her words. "Greetings Sir Skuggir. What can I help your holiness with."

Enya words came from her mouth with a genuine smile and eyes that looked like stars that betrayed her otherwise now cool and, now post submission, slightly imposing figure.

"Ah, yes. Enya, what would you say this village is missing to become a town?" Skuggir questioned.

"Well a the village outside of Ignalis where lead by a village elder, wich is a position I currently hold. The towns usually had a knight house, or mayor who kept order and collected taxes. so I guess because we have nor mayor, Sir Skuggir" Enya explained to Skuggir in an easy to understand way.

"Do you thing this would be considered a town if I Built a house here for myself?"

With this question, Enya eyes lit up like two north stars. "If Lord Skuggir where to live in the village I would even call it a paradise more then a town. but if you want to make a town then it would definitely be so when you moved in."

With her desire plastered on her face like a neon sign, Skuggir decided that he would try to make this quint village a town by building himself a small fort. The fort he imagined would be complete with a courtyard that doubled as a market where he could overlook the business of the town.
