Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Prisoner Breeds · Goblin

T04 World Area,

Under the illusory sunlight,

The dense forest appeared somewhat gloomy—a pair of eyes, glowing green, flickered in and out of the dark, constantly shifting.

Giant goblin warriors, as imposing as black bears, clutched stone spears in their hands, moving silently and swiftly beneath their feet, making nary a sound. Their cruel gaze spied on the prey within the thicket, barely concealing their excitement,

"Kill!"

"We've been searching for this group of first-tier Steelback Boars for a long time!"

"For the glory of god!"

"This hunt and sacrifice will surely please the great god!"

As eerie howls erupted throughout the forest,

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

One after another, stone spears were hurled by robust green arms, impaling several of the large-bodied Steelback Boars!

"Ao!"

As rulers of the forest, the Steelback Boars were accustomed to attacking other creatures, and as adults, they had never suffered such a fierce attack.

Caught off guard, their eyes turned blood-red as they furiously charged toward the direction of the assailants!

The group of Steelback Boar emanated faint silver-black sheens on their backs, the origin of their name. They thundered forward like the earth shaking and mountains quaking, yet they failed to shake the goblin warriors' desire to kill.

"Die!"

"Tear these boars apart!"

The massive goblin warriors showed no sign of weakness, their muscles on their green bodies bulging with power.

They leaped about the forest, effortlessly dodging the boars' charges, then used their sharp claws to slash from the side, eviscerating the Steelback Boars!

Hiss!

Hiss! Hiss!

Great spurts of dark-red blood jetted out, and chunks of foul guts spilled forth.

In a few great leaps of large dark shadows within the forest, the battle neared its end—giant Steelback Boars with blood gushing from their wounds lay dying, reluctantly closing their dull eyes on the forest floor!

But the group of goblin warriors didn't immediately leave the dangerous forest with the bodies of the Steelback Boars.

Instead, they raised their heads to let out deafening roars, then piled up the Steelback Boars' bodies, encircling these corpses they began the most primitive ritual dance,

"Great Goblin and God of the Hunt!"

"We praise you!"

"To gain your pleasure, your loyal followers present you with a spectacular hunting performance!"

"Your loyal followers hope that you will accept this sacrifice!"

As the ritual dance began, space itself started to warp subtly.

Hum...

A pair of eyes, symbolizing terror and cruelty, blood-red in color, quietly emerged above the forest.

It gazed indifferently down at the goblin warriors who continued to dance fervently below, imposing upon them an endless pressure.

Yet these goblin warriors were not fearful but overjoyed, for behind these terrifying blood-red eyes was their father god, their great and benevolent patriarch—

The Goblin and God of the Hunt!

The arrival of the crimson eyes signified that their great father deity was observing them, and might even bestow divine grace!

This was their utmost glory!

Moments later, the corpses of the Steelback Boars withered away, and handfuls of blood-red mist descended from midair, instantly restoring all the energy the Goblin Warriors had expended, and it seemed that they had even grown stronger!

"Great Father God!"

Immediately, the cries of praise were unceasing!

Above the dense jungle, Logan watched the Goblins—having finished the sacrifice and busy processing the carcasses of the Steelback Boars and retrieving their Stone Spears—with a hint of a smile.

He could only manifest within his World Fragment in the form of a pair of eyes, and only within the range his followers had explored!

"Fortunately, I crossed over with cheats that let my followers gain drops from kills or defeats, directly enhancing my followers, these Goblins."

"Otherwise, I really wouldn't know how to survive in this dangerous Hyperdimensional Game!"

Logan recalled the moment when he first entered the Hyperdimensional Game and discovered his Initial Race was the lowest-level Prisoner breed Goblins, he felt somewhat dumbfounded.

How could he survive in the cruel Hyperdimensional Game with these Goblins that were skinny as rails and couldn't even beat wild dogs?

Yet, these Goblins had now evolved into brawny and strong Goblin Warriors, all thanks to his efforts and a little help from the drop system!

Logan's crossing point was called Blue Star, a planet so vast that a significant part had yet to be explored by humans.

Decades ago, out of the blue, the Hyperdimensional Game descended, allowing all sentient beings to enter, acquire a World Fragment, and become Deity Players.

What was even more astonishing was that everything in the Hyperdimensional Game, with the payment of Faith Points, could be brought back to Blue Star, equating to Blue Star gaining countless resources out of thin air!

Even more so, the powerful among the Deity Players could easily manipulate the starry sky, tear apart the Void, and wage war across the universe.

However, it was not all good news, for entering the game would bind a dimensional mark.

If their world in the Hyperdimensional Game were to be occupied or even destroyed, they would likewise die in reality!

After all, the Endless Void followed the dark forest Rule; if a World Fragment were discovered by other entities, it would likely lead to an unavoidable war!

And with war... came death...

And even more terrifying was that, with the arrival of the Hyperdimensional Game, Blue Star's spatial rules became unstable, cracks in space could open at any time, letting in large numbers of Monsters.

To date, due to the slaughter by Monsters, only one third of Blue Star People remained!

This also led to the reality that although they knew the Hyperdimensional Game was extremely brutal, the human Federation had no choice but to enter in pursuit of great power, to defend themselves.

And this was why each Deity Player's Initial Race was extremely important.

Indeed, the quality of the Initial Race has already determined the player's lower and even upper limits.
