With the exit blocked and a fight sure to break out, Skuggir took action with his intent on taking the initiative. preparing his [Breeze] and [Flame] combo, one of the figures charged him with a dagger.
before the man could get close three skeletons with swords stepped forth the defend him, while an archer skeleton took aim, ready to kill the man.
seeing his path blocked, the figure retread back to his group without engaging, and instead started to chant a spell. while he chanted his spell the rest of the cloaked figures took out their own daggers and defended their chanting friend.
having his spell ready, Skuggir had his flames erupt, blowing them like a pillar of fire in the direction of the group of five, the fire lashing at them as they covered themselves in their fancy and embroidered cloaks.
having information on the powers within a dungeon was exceedingly helpful, here mysterious individuals had used such info to avoid being burned by Skuggir's spell.
sadly for them, their cloaks where not tare proof, and this was very obvious the moment the skeleton archers let fourth their arrows. The arrow cut forth through the air and through their cloaks, blood slowly leaking from the men.
seeing their window of survival closing, the man at the center released his spell. The magic circle in his hands ex's-landed to quadruple the size as it floated above the area, and after a few second started to glow with holy power.
all the skeleton under Skuggir's control went down to one knee the only one still standing being him. but after a few moments the spell ended and only the few skeletons closest to it where affected.
the only one remaining being Skuggir, the four archers, and three swordsmen. Seeing their spell not work to their desired amount, the group of cloaked individuals charged with cudgels and daggers in hand.
meeting with equal force, the three remaining skeleton swordsmen swung their swords directly at the head of their opponents, while the skeleton archers backed them up with arrow fire so as to stop the fights from becoming two vs one.
with his fire spell out of the fight due to the resistances of the enemy, Skuggir tried to quickly think of another way to use his spells. While going through all his spells the [Mold Earth] spell hit him like a falling boulder.
with his new idea in tow, Skuggir immediately casted [Mold Earth] on the ceiling, and a spike about the size of a man slowly formed. with its shape finalized, Skuggir dropped it on the head of the four remaining men — one of them already dead on the ground after having a sword driven through his upper body puncturing vital organs.
the large artificial stalagmite hit the remaining four cloaked men alongside the remaining two skeletons warriors, who where having trouble with the enemy. the crushing weight of the large stalagmite left nothing behind except a few scattered bones, the rest of it buried beneath its weight.
using the same spell that caused the large attack, Skuggir slowly moved the earth around, and dispersed it into the floor, revealing a bunch of bones and mangled fleshy corpses. shining under the cloak of one of the corpses an astrolabe was picked up by Skuggir.

So this is an astral treasure. and those people must have been priests? i wonder what god they warship. if I can find any Loki worshippers i should probably leave them be.
The regular lich seems to be the normal path of evolution for all lichs, I should not choose that path. the lich of famine sounds kind of cool but it also seems weak considering it lack of requirements. the holy spell back there was really helpful... sadly they should have known that holy spells had little effect on me, but this holy lich goes against the lich vibe, as the gods said "not skeleton enough" or something like that.
I really wish i could be a Omni Lich so i could just get the best of all worlds... wait why cant i? it might take a long time but it shouldn't be that hard its only my first evolution. But the invaders are slowly getting better even with the cap I have set on them, and they have even killed off most of my minions.
I'd rather not die again, especially when i have all these cool things to look forward too. i should just go with what's safe for now and become an [Eclipse Lich].
with Skuggir's choice a confirmation window appeared before him, and without even reading it Skuggir pressed yes.
after making his decision the stone doors snapped shut and the entire city of Ignalis was shrouded in an Eclipse. within the dungeon the darkness which pervaded it was shifting with shades of a dark gold, as a dark golden light leaked from Skuggir's bones. the skeletons around him, bathed in this light, also started a transformation. Their once ivory bones, now a deep black color. Skuggir's transformation much the same, his bones now a deep black like coal and a blanket of start surrounding him.
after a few moments Skuggir's Transformation was finished and the blanket of star vanished. feeling a new power flow through his bones, Skuggir just stood still for a moment completely absorbed by this new feeling of power.
coming out of his infatuation, Skuggir quickly opened his menu with a thought in order to read his new skills.
[nychthemeron - during the day all minion and you are resistant to fire and holy attacks. During night all undead minions revive and are resistant to frost.]
[Solar flare - eject super hot plasma from your hands in a stream.]
[Lunar Ring - make a ringing sound that lulls all nearby living creature into a passive state.]
Can the moon even ring? its not hollow. weird. and what does that word mean, something related to the night and day cycle? so weird, but with its power i shouldn't have to get anymore minions after this slight loss.
