Chapter 12 - Chapter 12 |God says friend

"with that massive explosion rocking the ground, and ringing my ears, I ran to the streets to figure out what was going on. And you know what, that huge stone door was still standing man. I don't know how but it seem unaffected by the entire thing.

After I made it to the Main Street through, there was a fight. some of the followers of Ormen or something had attacked that young master that had walked into town yesterday. With his shining cloths and ugly face I can understand why a fight would brake out. But apparently he was the one who caused the explosion according to the Ormen fellows." said a short man with a large scraggly beard and thick boots and bracers.

sitting in front of the scraggly man was a Demonblood who was writing down his account of events," And you're sure they said "this is an affront to our god, pay with your head"? the followers of Ormr are pretty peaceful."

"no, no they said "This heinous affront to Ormr must be payed with you head." At least that's what I heard before spells started to fly. how do they gather so many spell casters anyway? isn't magic supposed to be hard." the Small man driveled on even asking his own questions.

with an exhausted expression, The demon blood rewrote his notes while explaining, "they arint casting the spells themselves, they are barowing the power of their god or something. so they don't actually know magic. although I heard they do have a high amount of actual mages—almost a dozen in fact."

the organization in question was once again walking through the city in a procession, this time unimpeded by followers of Appolion or fools of the holy city of light. their large group making it before the door where they started to chant in an old and outdated language. "ᚠᚱᛟᛗ ᛏᚺᛖ ᚷᛟᛞ ᚹᛖ ᛏᚱᚢᛋᛏ, ᛏᛟ ᚤᛟᚢ ᚺᚢᛗᛒᛚᛖ ᛈᚨᚱᚨᛞᛁᛋᛖ ᚹᛖ ᛋᛖᛖᚴ, ᛈᛚᛖᚨᛋᛖ ᚷᚱᚨᚾᛏ ᚢᛋ ᛈᛖᚨᚲᛖᚠᚢᛚ ᛖᚾᛏᚱᚨᚾᚲᛖ."

inside the dungeon, a very bored Skuggir got a system notification. [mail:1!]

opening the mail, Skuggir was greeted with a animated hologram of Loki, "hey kiddo, there are some people about to come into the dungeon. please don't kill them, they are my followers. oh and they know me by Ormr the god of knowledge, fun, and trickery. see ya kiddo."

after hearing the message all Skuggir started to think about these people and the message from the usual quiet gods. I wish she didn't call me kiddo... I'm like, mentally... does it even matter? I'm an undead immortal skeleton now. wait, am I immortal? I'm not rotting. Whatever, hopefully I haven't killed any of these dudes already. That would be bad.

making his way too the front of his dungeon, Skuggir holdall his skeleton to be on guard but not attack. had also made sure to clean up any corpses that the ground had not eaten and absorbed yet.

after just a few minutes of waiting a group of people clad in a variety of cloths from tunics covered with harnesses and knives, to half plate knights, and even a few robed men with large staffs in their hands walked into the dungeon. a Similarity between them all though was the Silver snake accessories they all wore. Some had rings and others had necklaces, one lady even had a living white snake with red eyes as a bracelet and pet.

walking through the group of Ormr worshippers, a tall lady elf with eyes and hair a blazing shade of red—starkly contrasting the usual blond and green of her fellow elves—spoke out to Skuggir. "greetings holy creature of Ormr, we come wishing to live within this holy land."

after she played out their purpose for being here with no tricks and only honesty, something rare within their group, the entire congregation seemed to become restless.

Realizing they considered his dungeon, that was a part of him a holy land, and he himself a holy creature, Skuggir knew they would not wantonly attack him as loyal believers of Loki. that being said he did not want random people wandering his dungeon that he needed to kill people in.

in a cold, deep, and husky voice, Skuggir gave them his conditions. "You may stay here, but not for free. As a young holy creature if need nutrients to grow stronger... nutrients of the dead. you may dig out your own town within the second room. after a month you will have to help me grow, either with the deaths of people or other forms of nutrients. in addition to this you may not wander my halls, for you safety will not be guaranteed."

hearing his terms, the lady Elf discussed with the rest of her group, and after a few minutes came back out of their huddle. "Mister Holy Creature, we would like to occupy the first room and help lure people form the outside in with promises of treasures. if you can even give some of them real treasures sometimes it would even bait many more into coming."

listening to their amendments, skuggir thought it through. if he let them stay in the first room he would loose the ability to choke off all attackers at the front, but he would gain an ally in the believers of Ormr. plus he needed to re-construct his power layout anyways. he had to many strong troops at the fronton to enough ht troops in general, and a decline in adventurers because of the high mortality rate of those who enter.

"I agree, but you can only have this first room. if you prove yourselves worthy I shall give you more space witting this glorious holy... uh... holy land."  That was godly powerful creature enough, right?

"Thank you you're benevolence, we shall quickly build our town." the Elf lady walked uptown him and clasped his hands in a gesture of gratitude, before starting a minor celebration with here not ver y small group. How they all planned to live within the 1,232 square foot room.

moving back into the second room, Skuggir and the worker skeletons got to work once again in remodeling the room. They removed the pillars that flanked the center path, and carved out a simple room this time. Skuggir then hired new blood, no, bones for the room. Each new skeleton only have a dented and dull sword and a half broken shield. They where supported by regular archers and a single sorcerer Skelton that had appeared within the empty portion of his halls after the recent rank-up.
