Synopsis
In a world ravished by a great war that left even life itself at its mercy, all the gods and demons sided to fight back the nightmare that came from outside the dimensions. Beings of true horror that wrought only chaos and destruction. The Eldritch gods. They could not be stopped, so the most powerful gods and demons decided to seal them within the void, using their very life, praying it could hold them for eternity. But the cost was astronomical. The amount of lives lost in the war could not be recovered. So the remaining gods and demons decided to abandon the morals and laws of life, to use the scatted parts of the dead, to create something that could make one last stand. In case, they ever came back. ______________________________________ Hello! This will be my first book! I am quite a new writer so if you have any suggestions or that good ole criticism, go ahead! Chapter 1 - Prologue: The Never-Ending Army

"Where the hell are they coming from!" Lucifer roared as he dodged the incoming grotesque spear aimed at his head

Rapidly circulating the power of darkness into his hand, Lucifer punched forward, creating a hole straight through the horrid creature's chest. Following in quick succession, he grabbed the creature's skull and crushed it, throwing its lifeless remnants to the side.

Narrowing his eyes before him, he saw an entire army following in suit from the tear that was as dark as the abyss.

Standing on two legs whose feet shaped into two sharp claws, their body covered in a white dirtied robe; Two tails whipped behind them as they snicked with each step.

"I've seen some terrible looks, but those definitely break records," Lucifer laughed as he looked at them.

A dirtied white cloth was wrapped around their eyes, along with long nails penetrating around their skull. With a smile on their faces, their rotten teeth could be seen in full force.

"Just where did these creatures come from," Lucifer thought as he readied himself for the long battle ahead.

Just as he was about to burst forward, he heard a soft voice behind him, "Lucifer, why are you attacking your siblings?"

Turning his head around, he saw a woman in angelic armor with a javelin and a shield, like a rising sun, she descended into the army ahead causing a solar explosion at the point of impact.

BOOM!

Countless creatures were disintegrated.

With the explosion slowly dying down, her blonde hair waving through the air, she smiled back at lucifer.

"We have nothing that ugly in hell, Minerva!"

"Are you sure brother?" Micheal, who just arrived after finishing off his battle, pointed at the dead creatures, "I see a close resemblance of them in you."

Lucifer gritted while saying to himself, "I'll definitely drag them back to hell when this is over."

With the three of them looking ahead, ten more dark tears appear, as if space itself had been ripped apart.

"Do we still know nothing about these creatures? It seems like an endless army." Lucifer said

Just as Micheal was about to respond, a heavenly door appeared behind them, its door swinging wide open.

A single foot stepped out; lighting zapped a crossed the field as if a declaration of power was being told.

With a charming smile on Minerva's face, she asked "Zeus, I'm guessing your side of the battle is done?"

"Oh look, the narcissist and his 'loving family' has arrived," Lucifer whispered in a low tone.

Micheal gave lucifer a quick side eye before asking, "Zeus have you learned anything about the army we face?"

"I've been told by Mimir on are way over. While the battle so far has only been of soldiers, the leaders behind this are what the primordial called, the Eldritch Gods. A long time ago, they were the original rulers of our dimension, Elysium, but they became too hungry for more power and thought of ways to leave this dimension and to find more power outside of Elysium. While they were gone, the primordials had gained enough power to start their rule and believed in a balance of the dimension, rather than chaos... But when they came back, destruction once again laid waste." Zeus said, his eyes looking at the ground.

"The battle went on for centuries, with Elysium almost being destroyed. They were able to fight them back, but didn't possess the power to kill them, so they decided seal them in the dimension they came from... but it costed a great deal of power, and Gaia was the only one able to survive that war as they deemed her power the most promising in bringing back the dimensions order."

"Wait, so Gaia is still alive? Where the hell is she?" Lucifer quickly asked as it seemed the battle ahead would not be easy.

"She has already passed a long time ago. Who knew of all people, Mimir, during his younger days, would stumble upon a talking tree and becomes friends with it. A tree who would bless him with vast amounts of knowledge until its dying breath. Knowledge that even he himself didn't believe in, until he saw the start of this battle.

Zeus looked up, "We have a great battle ahead of us, the Nordic pantheon is already on its way. It seems like these creatures have chosen this field to start the war."

As if the last words had deemed the start of the battle, countless creatures walked through the space tear.

"Seems like they decided to bring the heavy hitters," Minerva said as she smirked.

Countless creatures narrowing 200 meters walked through the portals. They stood on 4 hindlegs leading into a body filled with tentacles as they wiped around, destroying the ground around them. Countless eyes circled the front body, with a mouth that seemed it could devour the sun.

"Is that even editable?" Lucifer accidently said out loud.

"You really need to fix that mentality of yours," Micheal said with a disappointing face.

"Sorry, where I come from, instead of singing we get screaming."

"Save the chattering for later," Zeus declared, "We will hold this position until the Nordic pantheon gets here. The other pantheons will make sure we keep the battle to this position."

"Did Gaia happen to leave Mimir any tips on how to send them back?" Micheal asked.

"She did, But Mimir was too drunk to remember that story," Zeus responded.

"Yeah, on my list, that's a one-way trip to hell," Lucifer thought to himself.

"Mimir is currently working with the divine beast on how to do it. They are the most attuned to the dimension, so it shouldn't take them too long on how to lock them out." Zeus said with anticipation on his face.

"We will fight until they can figure it out, we can only pray they finish by the time the Eldritch Gods make it through."

With everyone nodding in Zeus's determination, they looked forward and locked their weapons in their hands.

With the sound of Heimdall's horn, the war began.
