The land laid in ruin with the Eldritch gods sealed away, ending a war they never saw victory in.
The Gods and Demons that remained scouted the lands around them with their eyes. As far as they could see, only death was welcomed.
The emotion they could feel was something they never knew existed. They were some of the strongest that existed, and they were thoroughly beaten.
Minerva rested on the ground, trying to heal the damage she had taken. "This will take a while to heal. What kind of monster was that?" Minerva completated to herself.
The Divine Beast Tiamat stepped forward, "Minerva what happened?"
"We forgotten something that Zeus told us. They left for power, but never figured out what they came back with."
"What do you mean?" Tiamat responded.
"That damned crowned Eldritch god was holding onto something. Something that I looked at, and put me into this state. There is something we truly do not understand."
The Divine Beast resonated, as they all knew they still had many questions left.
"They are sealed within the void, they have no way of making it back here," Tiamat reassured.
Minerva's eyes crossed the battlefield, the lives lost pained her dearly.
Remembering the promise they made to protect Elysium, her eyes trembled as the worst thought possible had come to her.
She looked around at the various Gods and Demons left and asked, "Do any of you still believe they won't come back?"
Everyone couldn't fully respond. The power they had witnessed was beyond their comprehension.
One of the gods walked forward and said with determination, "While the threat is gone, I think this shows we can never be truly safe."
"Then we should settle like this, we will make sure that the lives lost today have their legacy passed down, so for each generation, that power becomes stronger," Minerva said as she looked around.
"To keep Elysium safe, we must make sure its people are always ready to defend it."
With the Gods and Demons nodding in unison, they decided to formulate a plan on how to do this.
The demons approached the gods, signifying they were returning to hell, to find their successor who would take Lucifer and the seven dukes of hell's place.
The gods also started to regroup, as they had much planning to do.
As they were about to disperse and gather the fallen family members, Minerva quickly said, "Hold on, you need to leave their bodies. The element of void still lingers in them and has contaminated this area. While it only lingers, I think it should be best for it to die off."
While the Gods and Demons were skeptical about this, they also agreed. The void element was extremely unstable, especially outside its dimension. Enough damage had been caused, so they gave one last look before heading back. Praying for the element to dispense quickly.
"Hephestus," Minerva called out in a mental whisper. "Stay here a moment."
Minerva quickly ran to the Divine Beast and asked for them to stay for a moment as well.
The Gods and Demons noticed they were communicating to each other secretly, but shrugged it off and officially headed back.
With them gone, only Minerva, Hephestus, and the Divine Beast had stayed.
Vamttau, the Elder Wendigo, one of the five Divine Beasts, walked up and asked, "Why have you asked us to stay? Elysium has been destroyed and we must get back to work on fixing it"
Minerva remembered the thought that passed through her earlier and looked at Tiamat with a strong determination.
"I know you possess the Jewel of Life."
As time seemed to halt for just a moment, the four Divine Beasts all rushed her to end her life and the knowledge she just released.
As if the land was about to be ravished again, Tiamat halted them with an unprofound ruling aura.
"You will stay where you are! The void still lingers!" Tiamat hissed, looking at the Divine Beast.
Tiamat looked at Minerva with eyes, almost as if he was willing to rip her head off with no remorse.
"You better watch your words carefully! Forgetting that fact you know this, why do you say its name!"
Minerva sighed.
She knew the risk of revealing this information... but she had to try. She believed this wasn't the end and revealed the plan she thought of.
"The Jewel of Life is capable of creating life itself. With its power you can bring anyone back... and while that may seem significant. Its true power lies in the fact it can bring absolutely anything back, no matter what it is." Minerva looked at Hephestus, whose facial expression was still of shock and confusion.
She looked back toward the Divine Beast and said, "I believe they will come back. While passing down the fallen gods' legacy will give Elyisum a chance, It will still end in defeat. The orb is gone, we no longer hold any trump cards left, and they did all this damage with only two of them."
Minerva turned to the battlefield, looking at all the lifeless bodies.
"With the Jewel of Life and the bodies of all the fallen Gods and Demons, we can create something... something that will be able to hold against those foul gods for if they ever return."
The Divine Beast and Hepehstus looked a Minerva with shock and confusion.
"Do you really believe in what you just said? That goes against everything!" Tiamat roared in response to Minerva's idea.
"Look around you! They are all dead. We need something to find against them. Elysium needs one last hope." Minevera said as tears started to fall.
This went against every rule. But it was the only way to stand a finish chance.
Hephestus walked forward, afirmitation whirling his eyes, "Minerva is right. Look at how much we lost. We didn't even manage to kill a single one of those Eldritch gods."
The Divine Beast contemplated if this should be done.
Tiamat looked at Helphestus and asked, "Can it even be done? All that power together will be very unstable, and potentially ruin the only use of the Jewel of Life."
Hephaestus went into deep thought, his mind as the greatest blacksmith work to its max.
"It will be less of building something as compared to combining something. If you wish to use the Jewel of life, then I can only use my greatest materials in response. I will need help though. Have you thought of a form for it?" Hephaestus asked Minerva.
"It will be human, but for as we know, an abomination." Minerva decided.
Minerva turned to the divine Beast and asked, "Please help us in its creation. You all are the most wisest since Mimirs passing."
The Divine Beast looked at each other and nodded, "We will help in its creation, but we will not give it our blessing. Granted, I doubt our blessing would even work. This creation will have power unlike any other."
Without a second thought, they worked on creating a creature they would put their hopes in. A final trump card, for if they ever came back.
10 years later
Hepehstus stepped back, looking at the final creation.
"Is it that?" Minerva asked.
"What exactly were you expecting?" Tiamat responded.
"Well...not a baby to be honest," Minerva said with a smiling face. "But this is perfect."
"Its power is extremely unstable and will need time to develop. It will actually need a very long time before its power is all merged." Hephestus responded.
"Did you install that thing I asked?" Minerva said, looking at Tiamat.
"I did, and it will be of great help. It was interesting of you to give him a free choice of his life for the design he was created for." Tiamat responded.
"He will have a life, and choose his destiny. We can only pray he will do the right thing. He was created against the will of life, and we will grant him what life cannot. It will also be extremely useful in learning his own power" Minerva said as she picked up the baby into her arms.
Minerva looked at Tiamat, "Did you figure out any way to help stabilize his power?"
"I did but you're not going to like it," Tiamat responded. "We won't be able to help develop his powers as that will be up to him. We can help in stabilizing his power. I will put him into a timeless pocket where his power will be able to merge, but he will not age. He will exit the pocket when the merging is complete."
Mineva questioned this, but it was the right decision. They would be of no help now, especially as unstable as he was.
Minerva gave the baby to Tiamat to begin but quickly ripped her skirt and wrote a message down for him. She put the message onto the baby's chest and wrapped his arms around it.
Taking her arm away, she stepped back as tears fell down her face.
"Is that the name you gave him?" Tiamat asked.
"Indeed," Minevra responded.
"Then I will begin," Tiamat said as he unleashed his power to create the timeless pocket.
The rest watched as Tiamat's spell began to envelop the baby.
Minerva could only watch quietly as she remembered the message she left.
saying,
Become Strong, Dyreus.
