Junior stepped closer, his voice gentle but insistent. "I fucked up, yes. But I am begging you biscuit hear my side of the story please. I realized what truly matters to me, and that's you, Rain. You and the dreams we used to share."
Rain's heart ached at his words, but the wounds of betrayal ran deep. She shook her head slowly. "Words are just words, Junior. They don't erase the hurt."
But please, just hear me out. If after that, you still want me to leave, I will. No questions asked."
Mandy rolled her eyes, stepping between them protectively. "Junior, enough with the lies. Rain deserves peace and clarity. You've already caused her enough pain."
Rain nodded, feeling the support of her friend. "Mandy's right. I need to focus on myself right now. Junior, please respect that."
Junior's shoulders slumped, realizing the weight of his actions. "I understand. I'll give you the space you need, but biscuit you should hear side of the story"
After the junior departed Rain's apartment, he sat in the car by the river with Marcus and Jay, and opened Rain's report.
"She's expecting twins, guys." He should be overjoyed, but given the complex situation involving him, Rain, and Rose, things are rather complicated.
Marcus raised an eyebrow, glancing over at Jay, who was fiddling with the radio. "Twins, huh? That's... a lot to handle."
Jay finally settled on a station, the soft tunes of an old jazz melody filling the car. He turned to face them, a hint of concern etched on his face. "So, what's the plan now? We can't just sit here and do nothing."
The junior sighed, rubbing his temples. "Now that I know it's because Rain believes I am Rose's baby daddy, I need to find a way to get to the bottom of this. Why is Rain hell-bent on claiming that I'm responsible for Rose's pregnancy? I need all the evidence to prove I am not."
Marcus leaned back in his seat, his eyes narrowing thoughtfully. "Well, first things first, we need to gather all the information we can. Do you have any idea where to start?"
Jay nodded in agreement, "Yeah, maybe we should talk to Rose directly. Get her side of the story. There might be something we're missing here."
Junior exhaled sharply, feeling the weight of the situation bearing down on him. "You're right. I'll need to confront Rose, but I also think we should look into any possible medical records . There has to be concrete evidence somewhere."
Marcus tapped his chin thoughtfully. "And what about Rain? Have you considered why she'd be so adamant about this? There might be something going on with her that we don't understand yet."
