Jay nodded, determination gleaming in his eyes. "On it. I'll compile a report by tomorrow morning."
As the three friends solidified their plans, the atmosphere in the lounge grew tense but resolute.
The Jung Mansion
During breakfast, Mr. and Mrs. Jung, along with their daughter Rose, brainstorm solutions to tackle their decreasing market share. To their shock, they find out that several high-ranking executives had sold their shares just before the decline. Rose confirms that this is a case of "Insider trading," as evidenced by the transactions.
The family is left in a state of disbelief, the weight of the revelation sinking in. Mr. Jung, a man of integrity and principles, feels a swirl of emotions—anger, betrayal, and a sense of urgency to protect his company and employees. Mrs. Jung, ever the pragmatist, we should also consult with the legal team immediately and explore other options.
As the discussion unfolds, the butler walks in and lets Mr. Jung know that Junior is outside and immediately Rose's heartbeat speeds up rapidly.
Good Morning!
What a pleasant surprise this morning.
Mr. and Mrs. Jung, I hope everything is going well.
Of course, it's understood.
An intense look passed between him and Rose; she quickly averted her gaze, aware that Junior wasn't there to assist.
Junior smiled and turned his focus to Mr. Jung. "Indeed," he began, "I have come to inform you that someone has tampered with something of mine that they shouldn't have."
"A surprise, Mr. Jung. What do you mean?"
"I mean, the Jung, this serves as a warning to never touch what doesn't belong to you. Do you agree, Rose?"
Rose swallowed hard, her mind racing. She could feel the tension in the room rising with each passing second. "Yes, I understand," she replied softly, her eyes fixed on the floor.
Mr. Jung's expression remained unreadable as he processed Junior's words. "We appreciate the warning," he finally said, his voice steady. "But I assure you, we have not tampered with anything of yours."
Junior's smile widened, though it didn't reach his eyes. "I trust that will remain the case," he said, his tone carrying an unspoken threat. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I have other matters to attend to."
With that, he turned and left the room, leaving a heavy silence in his wake. Rose let out a breath she didn't realize she had been holding and glanced at Mr. Jung, whose face was now etched with concern.
"What have you done?" inquired Mr. Jung. "Junior is not to be underestimated."
"What have you done?" he asked, raising his voice and tossing the cutlery onto the table.
Rose glanced at her mom, then lowered her eyes.
Mr. Jung turned to his wife, "You had better start explaining," he demanded.
