We hopped into his car, grabbed breakfast from the coffee shop, and embarked on a 4-hour drive. I dozed off the entire journey, unsure if it was due to happiness or pregnancy.
I didn't have any pregnancy bump, and he kept looking at it. wanting to touch it and he eventually did, with a gentle and curious hand. His touch was tender, filled with a mixture of excitement and uncertainty. We exchanged a soft smile, acknowledging the profound changes that were unfolding before us.
We soon arrived in the countryside.
We are here.
Where is here exactly?
To meet someone important.
Well, come on in, you will know.
We entered this marvelous cottage.
Good morning, Granny, Junior said as he led me in. A warm, inviting aroma of freshly baked bread and herbs greeted us as we stepped inside. The cottage was quaint and charming, with wooden beams and a cozy fireplace crackling in the corner. Granny, a sprightly woman with twinkling eyes and a kind smile, welcomed us with open arms.
"Good morning, my dears," she said, her voice as comforting as the scent of home-cooked meals. "I've been expecting you."
Junior's eyes lit up as he hugged her. "Granny, this is my Rain," he said, introducing me with pride.
"Thee Rain"
yes granny
"It's wonderful to finally meet you," Granny said, enveloping me in a warm embrace. "Junior has told me so much about you. Come, sit, and let's have some tea."
We followed her to a sunlit kitchen, where a teapot and a tray of delicious-looking pastries awaited us. As we sipped on the fragrant tea and nibbled on the treats.
"Granny, we have some wonderful news to tell you," she said, brimming with joy.
"Now, spill it," Granny urged eagerly.
Junior then revealed a sonogram of the twins, exclaiming, "You're going to be a great grandma!"Granny's eyes widened with surprise and delight. Tears of joy welled up in her eyes as she reached out to hold the sonogram, her hands trembling slightly. "Oh, my darlings," she whispered, her voice choked with emotion. "This is the most wonderful news I could have ever hoped for."
She pulled Junior and i into a warm embrace, her heart swelling with love and pride. "I can't wait to meet these little miracles," she said, beaming. "They are already so loved."
