Evy's eyes sprang open, her face taking a way paler color than before, running next to Saor she tried to stop his body from crashing on the ground.
Sadly she was too slow and Saor's lifeless body bumped on the ground making a strong noise, she stood still next to Saor's body holding him, still shocked by his choice, she was left surprised by what she just saw, somedays even she thought of taking her own life, that it's better to die than to live a life under the control of someone else.
But she still had her dad and she could never leave him alone, not after her mother's death.
Just as her most painful memories began to resurface a voice came out of nowhere "I appreciate your care but I would prefer if you could stop holding into me".
She jumped after hearing Saor's voice again, she couldn't believe her eyes, saor was in front of her, alive, his body completely fine, after assisting to that miracle she asked stuttering "Y-you are real".
"Yes I am " Saor said after pinching her "see, if you were dreaming I shouldn't be able to hurt you" as he said that he began walking towards his dead heart that was smashed onto the ground.
As he gushed his hand inside it, disgusting suonds were made, he took out of it a little seed, it seemed a normal simple seed, but that same seed coud have made his entire body explode in a massive cluster of branches if he ever did something against Flora.
As he began analysing it Evy decided to ask him the only question that was present in her head at that moment.
"How?" She asked her face still slightly shocked, "how are you alive, I've seen you die, so, how?".
Chuckling Saor answered her "Long story short, I'm immortal, in the true sense of the word".
The answer left Evy more confused since she expected a longer explanation, sadly she didn't get anything more, the look of her face becoming more determined leading her to do something that she never did in her life.
To ask for help.
Her eyes locked in those of Saor she said "Saor, I need your help, you need to meet somebody I know, you could save our village".
Saor surprised by the unexpected request decided to help her, so they began walking towards the village, after arriving at the center Evy guided Saor into a small house that contrary to the other was built on the ground, he entered it, It was a normal bar like many others.
Nothing seemed out of place, that is until Evy whispered something to the ears of the young guardian bartender, his eyes shifting to a surprised look, that lasted only for few seconds.
Evy called Saor and the two of them guided by the bartender got into a secret room that was built under the bar, inside many guardians stood still drinking and playing a strange card game, it seemed to be called poker, one common characteristic that they all had was the sad look on their face.
Even Evy seemed disconcerted by that, her eyes wandering the room until she finded a middle aged guardian, he had only one eye, the other covered by a scar.
While Evy got to the guardian Saor started to look around trying to understand that strange card game.
Just as the other guardians started to explain the rules to him Evy's sobbing voice interrupted everyone present, she said muttering "My father, Alex, is going to be executed, tomorrow morning for treason against the village and the council".
