Chapter 12 - CHAPTER SEVEN: GAIA

BOOM BOOM BOOM

Loud explosions were heard from the direction of the garden.

Ophiscus along with his wives and Griffin the garden in a split second, their speeds akin to teleportation. But what shocked Ophiscus was the woman standing with a frown on her face.

The woman standing at 6 feet tall had green hair and green eyes. She wore a tight robe that hugged her voluptuous body, emphasizing her curves, with a face like that of a goddess, she could make the holiest of men drown in lust.

But right now, that said beauty was frowning at Orion and Lyra, who was holding little William.

"Lady Gaia, what are you doing here?" Asked Ophiscus, he didn't think that the world's will would really visit his house.

That's right, the green robed woman is the will of the world Gaia.

When the rest of the group heard Ophiscus call the green robed woman, Lady Gaia, everyone trembled a little recognizing her.

The will of the world always communicated only with the sages, never once had she made an appearance in public.

Even though they expected her desire to meet William, they never expected her to come straight to their home.

Gaia, listening to Ophiscus's question replied

"I wished to meet your son, but I was attacked by your children. I didn't wish to harm them so I stood still."

She pointed her finger at Orion and Lyra.

The twins who until now had their guards up had relaxed after knowing the woman is the will of the world. Lyra, who was holding William, walked over to Ophiscus and handed William over to him.

She then walked beside Orion and they both bowed to Gaia in unison and said,

"We Apologize for our actions Lady Gaia, we thought you were an intruder and attacked. We didn't know who you were."

Lady Gaia, waved her hand dismissively and said

"Do not worry, you were not in the wrong to attack me. There is no need to Apologize"

She then looked at Ophiscus and said

"You are lucky to have wonderful children, Ophiscus."

Ophiscus, looking at his children, smiled lovingly and said

"Yes, I'm truly lucky to have wonderful children. They are my pride and joy."

Lady Gaia then looked at William who was in Ophiscus's arms curiously, and started walking towards them.

William, too looked at Gaia curiously.

Walking up to him, she stretched her hand, pointing her finger at him, watching curiously to see whether or not he would catch her finger.

William, watching Gaia pointing her finger, caught on to it. He then looked at Gaia and giggled.

'Ack'

Everyone felt arrows piercing their hearts. They thought that there wasn't anyone in the whole wide world cuter than him.

"What's his name?" Asked Gaia, who was swept over by his smile.

"William" answered Ophiscus.

"A fitting name for him, but also an ironic one."

Said Gaia with a chuckle.

"Will you come with me, little William?" Asked Gaia with a smile.

At her question Ophiscus immediately pulled William closer and took two steps back. Everyone now had frowns on their faces.

"What do you mean Lady Gaia, why do you want to take William with you?"

Gaia looked at the group's tense expressions,

SIGH

"The mana on the surface is polluted with pollutants and otherworlders mana." She then looked at William and continued

"I will take William with me to my core. He will live there with me at the source of all mana."

"Then we will also come with you." Said Ara with a resolute look. She didn't want to leave her son.

"No. You all have your respective roles to fulfill here on the surface, coming with me would greatly hinder our plans. Besides, the only one who can enter my core is William, the rest of you would just explode because of the pure mana."

"Then why can William enter?" Asked Carina.

"Because of his soul." She then looked at everyone and said "His soul is special."

"I will not answer anymore than this, since it would be detrimental to his growth."

"Then he is not coming with you." Said Ara with a resolute look on her face.

"If we cannot come with him then he isn't going anywhere. My baby will not grow without the care of his family."

"Looks like you've misunderstood something. I've never asked for your opinion." Said Gaia with a cold glare. She didn't like it when Ara started to view her as an equal and treat this as a negotiation.

Pressure started leaking out of Gaia. She was ready to take William with her, even if it meant she had to do it forcefully.

If she had listened to them, and William had grown up to be a dud. Then there will be no hope for her. She would get devoured by the otherworlders and with her, the residents of the world.

But then,

WAAH WAAH WAAH

William started crying because of the tense atmosphere. He didn't seem to like it when they are having a confrontation with the world's will.

Gaia quickly retracted the pressure and hurriedly came near William.

"Ah! I'm sorry, little William, I went a little overboard. I won't do it again, I apologize" Said Gaia as she desperately tried to make William stop crying.

Ara came forward and took William from Ophiscus. The moment William was in his mother's embrace he stopped crying. He looked at Ara for a while and started giggling.

Gaia, watching this, sighed defeatedly. She didn't wish to be hated by the person who was supposed to protect her.

SIGH

She looked at Ophiscus and said, "you said you wish to create an alternate dimension from your mansion, correct?"

Ophiscus nodded his head at her question. He understood that she would not do anything that was against William's liking.

"Then you have my permission to do it, and when you do so. Summon me, I will connect that dimension to my core. Although it won't be as good as living at my core, it's the next best thing."

Ophiscus nodded at her with excitement as it would not only help William but also the whole family.

"Very well Lady Gaia, I will summon you when I have completed creating an alternate dimension."

Gaia nodded her head in response and said,

"Let's leave for the meeting, I want to inform them about the incident and also take care of some other things."

As she finished her sentence, mana started to gather around her and Ophiscus. Space began to distort around them, she looked at William and smiled.

William, looking at Gaia, giggled in response.

WHOOSH

They vanished.
