Chapter 13 - CHAPTER EIGHT: THE MEETING

WHOOSH

Both Ophiscus and Gaia appeared in a wide hall, there was no reaction from Ophiscus indicating that he was used to it.

The hall was well lit, adorned with beautiful chandeliers hanging from the ceilings. Thick curtains of golden fabric with purple accents blocking out the outside light and paintings of various figures decorating the walls.

Ophiscus and Gaia started walking towards the end of the hall. Then they took the stairs downwards. They walked in silence until they reached the another hall.

Unlike the first, the second hall was narrow and dark. They walked down the hall for 10 minutes and reached a door. The door was an ordinary one, contrary to what one would expect.

They opened the door and entered. Ophiscus's gaze fell on the people who were in the room.

Lucien and the rest of the sages were chatting with each other. They were a little surprised when Ophiscus was late, since he was always on time. They were a little astonished when they saw Ophiscus and Gaia coming together.

Ophiscus took a seat next to Lucien and Gaia took the head seat of the table.

Gaia then moved her gaze to the ones attending the meeting.

"Since everyone is here, we shall start the meeting."

Gaia then looked at Ophiscus and said,

"Explain to them about what happened."

Ophiscus at Gaia's order stood up, he then looked at his fellow sages and started explaining to them about what happened.

Listening to Ophiscus, the sages had various kinds of reactions. Amaris was taken aback, Lucien was silent, Aiden was grinning from ear to ear. But the worst of all was Ancha, she couldn't digest the fact that the one who made her kneel was a new born baby. Unknowingly, feelings of dislike began to grow in her heart.

"....and that is what happened." Ophiscus finished his explanation and returned to his seat.

"HAHAHAHA"

Aiden, who was grinning, started to laugh out loud. Everyone present knew what he was thinking, but they could only shake their heads, since they knew that he wouldn't change his mind.

Lucien, who was silent till now spoke, "So, what do you plan to do now?" looking at Ophiscus.

"What do you mean, sir Lucien?" Ophiscus questioned back.

"I meant to say how, when and where he is going to train?" Lucien said

"He will be staying in the House and he will be trained by my wife Aquila and I."

Lucien shook his head in disagreement and said,

"That's not going to do it, he may be your son, Ophiscus. But he is also the savior of the world, he needs to get training from all of us."

Ophiscus, listening to Lucien, frowned.

"My son will not leave the House." said Ophiscus sternly, he promised his wife that he would keep the family together no matter what and he would do it, even if the cost is the death of the world.

However, Lucien's next words made him relax,

"I'm not asking you to hand over your son now, but when comes of age, he will spend time with us, and we will impart all of our knowledge."

He then looked at the rest and asked,

"How about it guys, are you okay with the agreement?"

"I don't" said Aiden while laughing.

Amaris shook his head and said, "I don't have any problems with the arrangement."

"I don't have any problems with it either." said Ophiscus, he didn't have any problem with it as long as William grew up in the presence of his family. He also knew that pressing any further would backfire.

Lucien then looked at Ancha and asked, "How about you Ancha, are you okay with this?"

"Huh!?" Ancha was startled, she was still brooding over her humiliation and didn't pay attention to the meeting.

"We are discussing William's training and came to an agreement that we all will train him when he comes of age." said Amaris, he was paying attention to her and noticed that she was in a daze.

"Oh!" exclaimed Ancha as she started to think over it. She didn't want to train the one who humiliated her, but when she thought about it more, she got an idea. With a sly smile on her face that screamed mischief, she said

"Of course, I don't have any problem with this, I will train him properly."

The rest noticed her expression but didn't think much of it. They knew she wouldn't do anything stupid.

Gaia, looking at everyone, said, "Then it's decided, William will stay in the alternate direction in the alternate dimension until he is 10, he will learn basic magic and some martial arts until then. He then will go to the academy for 2 years. Afterwards he will train with each of you for a period of two years."

"But can he learn everything from us in two years?" Asked Amaris.

"Of course, in fact 2 years is an overestimation of the time he needs to learn everything from you, do not underestimate his talents." Said Gaia. She knew how monstrously talented William was.

When William caught her finger, she discreetly sent some mana into his body to check his talents. Much to her amazement he was more talented than she had expected.

Amaris and the rest were a little shocked by Gaia's praise, even though they wanted to believe that she was exaggerating his talents, they didn't, since they knew that the will of the world never lied.

Ancha was a little upset at Gaia for praising him. But she didn't let it get to her head. She just wanted to train him strictly and give him a hard time, but did not want to outright hate him.

"Alright then, we will move on to the next topic."

Aiden stood up from his seat and started talking about the war.

And the meeting continued

After a few hours, the meeting was reaching its conclusion. They discussed various important topics about war, supplies, and strategies. They came to an agreement on some things and disagreed on others.

"Well then, we will end the meeting here." Said Gaia standing up. She then looked at everyone and said

"Let's hope everything goes well and we will survive this."
