Chapter 14 - CHAPTER NINE: THE ALTERNATE DIMENSION

After the meeting, Ophiscus returned to the mansion. He told everything that had transpired to his wives. Ara, although unhappy, couldn't do anything about it. Since asking for more time would not be appropriate.

A week later,

Ophiscus is now standing in front of a mansion, it is located at the edge of the continent near the ocean. The surrounding lands are exclusive to the Spades, so there were no people around.

The mansion, while not as large as the main mansion, could easily house 30 to 50 people.

Ophiscus stretched his hands, mana began to gather around the mansion. His eyes shining in golden light, showcasing his power as a sage.

Space began to distort around the mansion, accompanied by a strange wobbling noise. The mansion started to twist and turn, folding in on itself. This continued for a while and suddenly, it vanished.

In its stead was a deep hole of 30 meters. Ophiscus glanced at the hole for a moment and teleported to the mansion.

Now at the mansion, Ophiscus went to its deepest part, where only the family members are allowed.

As an extra precaution, Ophiscus gave orders to vacate the entire mansion. Despite knowing that people would be suspicious of his actions, he paid little mind as he was confident in not leaving any evidence behind.

Once he reached its deepest part, he walked up towards a door and touched it.

Similar to what happened earlier, Ophiscus's eyes began to shine and the door he touched started trembling. The mana around him started rushing towards the door in a mad frenzy and strange and exotic magic symbols and magic circles started to materialize on the door

.

Once the door's surface was covered in magic symbols and circles, they shined brightly for a moment and disappeared. Ophiscus then opened the door and entered.

He was now in the mansion that had been wrapped. Ophiscus had connected the main door of the mansion to the one he touched previously.

He walked around the mansion to look for any space tears. He sighed in relief as he did not find any. He then walked out of the room and into the main mansion.

After exiting the dimension, Ophiscus pulled out a magical device from his pocket. It was a star shaped device, golden in color with red markings on its arms, and had a purple magic stone in its center.

He poured mana into the device which lit up the red markings.

"Lady Gaia." Ophiscus called out. His mouth, close to the purple magic stone.

It took a while to get a response from the other side.

"Ophiscus, what is it?" Gaia asked.

"Lady Gaia, I've finished creating the dimension"

"Oh! That was fast. Very well, I am coming." said Gaia, cutting off the communication.

After a few seconds, a green magic circle materialized beside Ophiscus. It glowed for a moment and Gaia appeared beside him.

Gaia then looked at Ophiscus and said, "Take me there." She wanted to connect the mansion to her core as soon as she could.

Ophiscus nodded and opened the door to the dimension. They both entered the dimension. Without any delay, Gaia began walking towards one of the bedrooms in the mansion.

Upon reaching a bedroom she entered , followed by Ophiscus. She looked at Ophiscus and shook her head and said "You cannot stay here. Once I connect my core to this room, only William can enter it. You should wait outside,"

Ophiscus nodded and went outside the room. Now alone, she looked around and started walking towards the center of the room.

She stretched out her hands and a green magic circle, a meter in diameter materialized. The magic circle started to suck every ounce of mana in the room. Knowing that the atmospheric mana would not be enough, she began to supply her own mana to the magic circle.

This continued for a while and

BOOM

The magic circle that sucked in all the mana began to emit out mana far purerand larger amounts of mana.

It took just a few seconds for the mana to fill up the entire room, and the mana started to flow out of the room. Ophiscus, who is standing outside the room. Sensed the incoming mana and was amazed by its purity.

If the mana on the surface could be compared to that of murky water, the mana emanating from the room was akin to the crystal clear water created by magic.

However, Gaia, who was in the room, was not satisfied. The quality of mana was nowhere near that of the mana in the world core, nor was it matching it in terms of quantity.

She erased some magic symbols and added a few more to refine the man coming out of the magic circle. Following the adjustments, the mana emanating out of the circle was much purer than before

It was so pure that, from now on, no being except William and Gaia could be near it. She then created a barrier so that the pure mana would not escape the room and would only let small amounts out to fill the mansion.

After a few hours the mana quality and quantity was up to Gaia's standards. She nodded in satisfaction as she examined the magic circle once more to check for any mistakes.

Not finding any, she modified the magic circle so that the mana would recycle once a day.

She then walked out of the room and looked at Ophiscus who was a little far out from the room.

"Is it complete?" asked Ophiscus, initially, he stood by the door, but as the mana got purer and purer he couldn't stay, so he moved a little further away from the door.

Gaia nodded at Ophiscus's question.

"Lady Gaia, I have another question?" asked Ophiscus, he was moving away from the door little by little as he couldn't take on the mana.

"What is your question?" Asked Gaia.

"How can we bring William into the bedroom, when even I have difficulty standing near the door?"

"Ah! Was that your question? It's simple, I will put him to bed everyday." said Gaia flatly.

Ophiscus was now getting suspicious,

'Is she doing this for William or does she just want to spend time with him?'

"Lady Gaia, Are you sure that it's important for William to stay in that bedroom?" Asked Ophiscus with his expression saying that he was suspicious of her.

"Of course." Said Gaia with a smile that resembled a salesman.

'I knew it! She just wants to spend time with my son!'
