Chapter 16 - CHAPTER ELEVEN: VELA SPADE

A few hours later,

A group of carriages could be seen coming towards the forest. The carriages were ordinary except the one in the middle.

It resembles the ones used by nobles. With platinum walls adorned with gold markings and encrusted with gems.

The black cloaked grandmaster smiled sinisterly as he signaled his men to surround the caravan.

SWOOSH

In a split second, the caravan was surrounded by assailants on all sides. The aura emanating from them ranged between adept and a master. With masters being a few.

The coachman at the head of the caravan frowned looking at this, he got down from the carriage, with arrogance encrusted to his face he said,

"Hey! Who are you? Do you know whose caravan you guys are blocking? Move out of the way before we kill you."

The masked men were silent at his threat, they were glaring at him but didn't make any move.

"Hey! Are you guys deaf? Move out of the way." Shouted the coachman.

The grandmaster, annoyed at the coachman, released his aura

'W-what is a grandmaster doing here? I thought this would be an easy job.' thought the coachman, he was petrified in his place out of fear.

The men from the caravan began coming out, reacting to the grandmaster's aura.

They circled the caravan, placing themselves between the assailants and the caravan.

They were outclassed in strength and in numbers. But none of them showed any fear on their faces. In fact, all of them are smirking, making the assailants confused.

'Why are they smiling? I checked the caravan with my aura and there was only one grandmaster, Ara. So, why?' thought the grandmaster.

But he would get his answers soon. A melodic voice came out of the noble carriages,

"Ho! There is a grandmaster here, this will be fun."

The voice sounded so melodic that it sounded like the heavens themselves were singing.

But the assailants who heard the voice were not enjoying it.

'W-what is that demon doing here?' Thought the assailants, as fear began gripping their hearts, remembering her infamy.

The one inside the caravan was none other than Vela Spade, younger sister of Ophiscus Arthur Spade. The bloodthirsty demon.

Some of the assailants fainted due to fear. Watching this, Vela clicked her tongue in annoyance and taunted,

"I thought you guys were real men, unlike the earlier ones, guess you are no different."

"Hmph! So what if you are a bloodthirsty demon, you are a grandmaster just like me."

The cloaked grandmaster said while snorting, hiding his fear.

"HAHAHA" Vela laughed, her voice starting to enchant her own men.

"There is a difference between a lizard and a dragon, you know." Vela replied, stepping out of her carriage.

GASP

The masked men were out of breath looking at Vela. They heard the rumors about her beauty but dismissed them saying that they were exaggerating since she is a Spade.

'The rumors aren't doing her justice,' thought the assailants.

There was no comparison, she was way more beautiful than they heard; with silver hair falling down to her waist, hazel eyes and her skin pure as snow.

She was wearing a white robe with gold accents that was tightly hugging her hourglass figure and a sword decorating her slim waist.

'She is a goddess.' Thought the men, who were seeing her for the first time.

And a goddess she is--a blood-craving one.

The leader of the masked men, the grandmaster, was swept over by Vela's beauty, with lust and desire deeply rooted in his mind, he thought.

'Hehehe, I may not have Ara but this one isnt so bad either.' Lust had clearly clouded his judgment.

"You!" pointing his sword at Vela.

"Surrender and maybe I'll consider taking you as my slave." ordered the masked grandmaster,

'Ah! Just imagining her moaning under me is making me feel ecstatic.'

Vela's beautiful face deformed into one of disgust. She could see the greed and desire shining through his eyes.

"I thought of sparing you, since I spilled too much blood today."

She drew her sword from the scabbard, pointing at the black cloaked grandmaster.

Her sword is a kusanagi, a Japanese straight sword with a single sharp edge. It had a black hilt with red undertones.

"Hah! It seems like your brain doesn't match your looks." the grandmaster retorted with each word dripping in pure arrogance.

Vela didn't reply to the grandmaster's remarks. Instead she straightened her back and pointed her sword to the moon, high in the sky and muttered

'Lunar sword arts: 12th phase- moon sickles'

In a split second, high up in the sky hundreds of crescent moon-shaped sickles started to form, their diameter was of one meter and were emitting killing intent, distorting the space around them.

She then looked at the grandmaster and swung her sword down.

FWOOSH

All the moon sickles in the sky started hurling down at the assailants like a snow storm with speeds crossing the sound barrier.

The assailants started to fall like flies, with blood, guts and organs spilling everywhere. It didn't matter if one was an adept or a master as the sickles sliced through them like butter.

'Even though she could just slice off their necks, she's killing them by slicing them off limb by limb. Haaah! This is going to take a while to clean up.' Thought one of Vela's men while sighing.

'W-w-what is this? How is she so powerful?' Thought the grandmaster, as he frantically swung his sword to deflect a sickle, his movements were slow but powerful.

He swung his sword to his right to parry an oncoming sickle, but another sickle came down from behind and sliced his arm off.

"AHHHH!"

The cloaked grandmaster screamed in agony as he staggered forward. Not wanting to give him room to breathe, another sickle came down, slicing the arm holding the sword.

THUD

The broad sword fell with a thud. But the onslaught didn't end as two more sickles came down onto his legs in thirst of blood and sliced his legs.

The grandmaster fell flat on the ground, screaming in pain. His grandeur and arrogance from before was nowhere to be seen.

The attack ended with the cloaked grandmaster falling as he was the last one remaining alive.

Vela slowly walked towards the limbless grandmaster. She stepped on countless limbs and organs but no disgust could be seen on her face.

Reaching the grandmaster she lifted him by his hair and said "hope you love your next life decently."

"W-wait, don't ki-"

THUD.
