Chapter 21 - CHAPTER SIXTEEN: VELA MEETS WILLIAM

After a few weeks,

The Spade mansion,

Ophiscus is sitting in his office, overlooking the attack on the otherworlders, and information that is to be released to the public.

Sebastian is standing beside him to help Ophiscus in his duties and take orders from him.

"What is the status of the force being assembled for the attack on the forgotten continent?" Ophiscus inquired.

"We have assembled 80% of the force, Master. The rest will be assembled in 2 weeks." replied Sebastian as he looked at the documents in his hand.

Ophiscus nodded at Sebastian's reply and asked, "What about informing the public?"

"We have already spread our people to earn trust from the common folk, after a few months to a year, we can begin the plan." He answered.

'The plan they have come up with is truly mind boggling.' He thought to himself.

KNOCK KNOCK

"Enter." Ophiscus said.

A maid entered the room and bowed to Ophiscus and said, "Lady Vela has arrived, my lord."

"Oh! She's here, huh?" Ophiscus exclaimed, he nodded at himself and looked at the maid and ordered, "Alright, call her to my office."

"Yes, my lord." She then bowed once again and left to call Vela.

"Sebastian, clear all the missions she has for the next few years, and send her group to the forgotten continent." He ordered.

'She has to grow up and become a saint fast.' he contemplated.

"Yes, Master." Sebastian responded.

A few minutes later,

KNOCK KNOCK

"Come in."

Vela entered the room, she then took a seat in front of Ophiscus and said, "So, Why did my dear brother call me here? I was having fun on the continent."

"Your fun can wait, I have an important task for you." Opshicus said in all seriousness.

"Oh! What is it? Will it be fun?" Vela inquired with an amused smile on her face.

"I guess you could call it fun." Ophiscus replied.

"Then tell me, who do I need to kill?" Vela asked eagerly.

But much to her disappointment, Ophiscus shook his head and said, "I want you to become a saint, and I want you to do it now."

"What?" Vela asked in confusion, her beautiful face turned into one of confusion.

'Why does he want me to become a saint now?' she pondered.

"I will tell you the details later. Your group will be going to the forgotten continent and join the others in the war against otherworlders." Ophiscus informed. He then pointed his finger at her and continued, "You however will stay in the mansion and advance into saint stage."

"WHAT?" Vela stood up from her seat, she looked at her older brother and asked, "Why do you want to send my men there and make me stay here?"

"Haaah!" Ophiscus sighed,

'I don't want to say the same stuff over and over again.' He whined, he looked at his butler, hoping that he would explain things to her.

'Ughh!' Sebastian grumbled inwardly looking at his master.

He then looked at Vela and started to explain the events that had unfolded.

".....And that's what happened"

Vela stayed silent for a few minutes and turned to Ophiscus but didn't utter a word.

"I know it's hard to accept, but this is reality." Ophiscus said, his expression weary.

SIGH

"Alright, I will think about this later." Vela replied with a defeated sigh.

She got up to leave the office to go to her quarters and take a rest but Ophicus interrupted her.

"You are not going to stay in your old quarters."

Vela gave him a confused look to her brother, "then?"

Ophiscus got up from his seat, he then turned to Sebastian and said, "We will continue this tomorrow." He gestured to Vela to follow him as he walked out of the office.

Vela followed Ophiscus but was bewildered when she noticed that they were walking towards her brother's quarters .

'Why is he taking me to his quarters?' She thought, confused. 'Does he want to live with him? But why?' she thought, perplexed by the situation.

"Uhm, brother, why are we going to your quarters?"

"You will see." Ophiscus replied flatly.

A while later, they arrived at the door to the dimension. Ophiscus sent his mana to the door. The door lit up with magic circles, after a while the door opened wide.Ophiscus turned around to Vela and gestured her to enter.

Vela, noticing her brother's gesture, entered the dimension.

'What the…? How is the mana here so pure?' she exclaimed inwardly, as she looked at the blue mist that filled the mansion. 'It feels like I've been living in muddy water and now I am finally free.'

She turned towards Ophiscus and stared at him, her face, full of question marks.

Looking at his sister, Ophiscus explained, "Lady Gaia connected her core to William's bedroom, making the mana around the room grow exponentially."

"Oh!" Vela nodded her head.

"So, Where is my nephew?" She asked, looking for William.

She didn't have to wait long, as she saw a two year old boy running down the hall. The boy stopped running and looked at her brother. But then began running again, but towards them while yelling, "PAPA!"

Ophiscus caught his son and raised him into the air and said, "Haha! How's my little champ?"

William giggled in response. He then looked over to Vela.

'Cute.' Vela thought to herself as she looked at her brother's son.

They both looked at each other for a while before Ophiscus introduced his sister to his son.

"William, this is my sister, your aunt, Vela."

"Aunt?" William questioned, tilting his head.

"Yes." Ophiscus replied while nodding his head. "Say hello to her."

"Hello aunt!" William exclaimed, happy at the addition of a new family member.

A beautiful smile blossomed on Vela's beautiful face as she couldn't take her nephew's cuteness.

"Hello, little William." she replied.

"Hehehe" William giggled as he raised his arms, implying Vela to hold him.

"Fufufu, my nephew is too cute, I bet he will be a lady killer when he grows up." She remarked as she extended her hands to take William from her brother.

But the moment they both came into contact with each other.

WHOOSH

Vela's vision turned dark.

'What the....?' she exclaimed internally as a series of lights flashed before her eyes. The flashing subsided, leaving her in eerie silence. Vela was anything but pleased.

"Where am I?" she muttered, weariness evident in her voice as she looked around.

'What is this place?' she questioned herself, trying to make sense of her surroundings. 'Is this a balcony?' She stood on what appeared to be a balcony, yet unable to see anything beyond it.

THUD. THUD. THUD.

The sound of marching soldiers echoed behind her. Vela turned around, her heart pounding, and gasped in shock.

'WHAT? WHAT IS THIS PLACE?' she screamed internally.

Before her stood an endless sea of soldiers, their numbers seemingly endless as they stretched to the horizon. They stopped at the base of the balcony and looked up with gazes that shook her soul.

The soldiers were 7 feet in height with four arms, two on each side. Their entire bodies were clad in armor, except the head. But what was different about them was their eyes, their eyes were in the shape of four leafed clovers, with one in each corner.

'All of them are stronger than my brother!' she thought, as terror started gripping her heart.

In unison, the soldiers unsheathed their weapons, the metallic sound echoing through the sky. They raised their weapons high into the sky, then struck their chests with their free hands, creating a thunderous echo.

With voices that made the heavens tremble in fear, they chanted,

"""""VICTORY TO THE ABOMINATION AGAINST THE GODS"""""

'
