Carina still had a playful smile tugging at her lips as she swept William along with her. "Come along, Little William." She said it, her voice brimming with excitement.
William giggled slightly as he walked along with his mother. He loved watching his mother become all excited.
They reached her chambers. 'I don't want anyone to disturb our time together,' she thought as she closed the door. She then took William to her study and grabbed a thick book from the shelves.
She then gestured to William to sit on the chair by the window and sit in front of him.
"So, little William, What do you know about the power structure of the world?" She asked enthusiastically.
"I don't know much, mother." William muttered as he hung his head down low. 'Will mother scold me?' he worried as he remembered his brother's words.
"Aw! Don't worry, little one; mother here will teach you everything you need to know about the world." Carina said as she ruffled his hair.
William giggled in response, liking her caress. All the anxiety he had about Carina being a strict teacher faded away.
He then jumped over the chair and hugged Carina. "Mother is the best; brother is a liar!" he said with a huff.
"Thank you, little William. And, haha, yes, your brother is a liar." She said it with a smile.
William then returned to his chair and looked at his mother eagerly, awaiting her teachings.
"Little William, there are eleven cultivation stages that we know of, and they are in the order of: Novice, Beginner, Apprentice, Amateur, Adept, Expert, Master, Grandmaster, Saint, and lastly, Sage." Carina started.
"Sage is the most powerful stage one can reach in this world, and there are only about 20 sages throughout the entire world, your father being the strongest of them."
"Whoa! Father is so cool." William exclaimed in amazement.
"Fufu, I know." Carina spoke while a small smile bloomed on her face, remembering her husband.
"In this world, everyone awakens an attribute." She continued.
"What is an attribute, mother?" William asked.
"Attribute is like your own unique power that you awaken on your tenth birthday; it can be an element, physical power, mental power, etc. Other races awaken their attribute at the time of their birth, but humans awaken it on their tenth birthday." Carina explained.
"Why is that?" William asked, confused.
"Human bodies at the time of their birth are not powerful enough to handle the power of their attribute, so they awaken it when their body attains the minimum requirement."
"Wow, Father is the strongest even though he awakened his attributes later? That's amazing."
"Haha! That's right. Although we awaken our attributes later, we have more potential for growth, while the other races grow over long periods of time. And their attributes always stick to their race; for example, a phoenix will only awaken a variant of fire, like a blaze, a fireball, or something like that."
"And humans awaken all sorts of different attributes?" William asked, his eyes wide with wonder.
Carina nodded her head in agreement and said, "Yes, humans can awaken from a wide range of attributes. Your father, for example, awakened'space'. While your aunt 'The moon'."
"What about brother and big sister?" William asked.
"Your brother awakened 'inferno', while your sister awakened 'glacier'"
"But isn't Mother Aquila a phoenix?" William asked, confused.
"Not quite, William. When parents are of different races, the stronger race usually wins out! That's why your siblings are humans, even though sister Aquila isn't. Your father's just way stronger!" Carina explained.
"Oh!" William exclaimed in understanding.
"Now, since we are done with the cultivation structure, let's move onto the arts." Carina said.
"Arts?"
"Yes, Arts." Carina confirmed. "Arts are the way we use our attributes. For those who want to focus on spells, there are magic arts; for a sword, there are sword arts; for a spear, there are spear arts; and so on."
"What arts do you use, mother?" William asked with sparkling eyes.
"I and the rest of our family use magic arts, except your mother Aquila and your aunt Vela; they both use sword arts. Of course, one can pursue more than one art, but it's advised not to since it's taxing on our soul."
"Then can I use art like you when I awaken?" William asked, eager to learn the magic arts like her mother.
However, much to his disappointment, Carina shook her head and answered, "No, one can only start to use the arts when they become adept; otherwise, their soul and their core would shatter due to the stress it would cause by using the arts."
"Core?" Alex muttered in confusion, as it was the first time he had heard that word.
Carina smacked her forehead and said, "How could I forget such an important thing?" She then looked at William and said, "Little one, a core is a part of our body that awakens along with the attributes; the core is what differentiates the cultivation stages of this world."
"How?"
"The cultivation stage of a person depends on what color their core is. For a novice, it is black, brown for a beginner, violet for an apprentice, indigo for an amateur, blue for an adept, green for a master, orange for a grandmaster, red for a saint, and lastly, white for a sage."
"Then will my core be black after I awaken?"
"Yes, when a person awakens, they automatically become a novice, and it turns brown as your understanding of your attribute increases."
Alex nodded in response.
The teaching continued with Carina teaching him about various things about the world and its denizens.

Ophiscus's office,
Ophiscus is having a meeting with his butler about William's awakening.
"Sebastian, I want everyone to stay in their homes on William's awakening day." Ophiscus said.
Sebastian nodded his head in response and noted it down in his handbook.
"Send soldiers to every city and guard the entire continent; I don't want the public to panic if another incident takes place on his awakening day, like it did on his birth." Ophiscus muttered while knitting his eyebrows.
"Yes master." He replied to his master's orders.
"What about the arena? Is it done?" Ophiscus asked.
"The arena is done; they are giving it some final touches, master." Sebastian replied.
'To think that all the continents would pour in a lot of money to train young master William.' Sebastian was in amazement.
When the rulers discussed where they should train William, they decided it would be best to train him in an arena until he becomes a grandmaster and poured a ton of money into building it.
'Lord Aiden even ordered the dwarves to build all the weapons in the arena!.' Sebastian exclaimed inwardly.
Ophiscus nodded his head in response and said, "William will train here until he becomes a beginner; only after that will he go to the arena." Ophiscus stated.
They both discussed more about William's awakening and about the matters of the continent.

A month had passed.
William studied under Carina diligently and learned more about the world. Vela had returned to the mansion a week ago, making the mansion more lively.
Right now, William is in his room getting ready with the help of Gaia; she returned yesterday to help William go through the awakening process.
"Right, you look handsome, little William." Gaia said as she looked at William through the mirror.
He was wearing a white shirt with a black tie, and with his hair neatly cropped, he looked like a handsome gentleman.
William smiled in response and said, "You too look beautiful, Aunt Gaia."
"Fufufu, Thank you, little one." Gaia replied; she then stretched her hand towards William and said, "Then shall we go?"
William nodded his head and took her hand. Gaia opened the room to see Ophiscus and the rest of the family waiting for him.
"You look really good, little brother." Said Lyra.
William giggled at her sister's compliment.
"William, are you ready?" asked Ophiscus, his gaze serious.
William nodded his head at his father and said, "Yes, Father, I can't wait."
"Then let's go." Aquila said it in all seriousness. They soon began to walk towards the awakening chambers. William is now holding Ara's hand while chatting with his brother.
They soon reached the awakening chambers; it had magic circles all over its outside walls, with mysterious runes filling the entire door.
Everyone clenched their fists in anticipation. I am excited to see what kind of attribute William will awaken.
'I wonder what attribute will William awaken. I hope it's a powerful one.' Thought Gaia as she prayed that William awaken a powerful attribute.
'No matter what happens, I will always love you, my son.' Ara thought as she tightened her grip on William's hands.
William looked at the door with determination with his head held high, he walked towards the awakening chambers.
History shall be forged, for William shall awaken the most powerful and versatile attribute. Yea, verily, the attribute most fitting for the one who owns everything that there is.
