Myles kept heading north for the next two hours. He halted his steps after 2 hours as he stared in front of him. A smile of relief was visible on his face.
Myles spotted tall black walls in the distance. In the middle, there was a gate that was heavily guarded by powerful warriors.
Yes, he had finally reached Eldoria Kingdom after hours! As he was making his way to the Eldoria Kingdom, he spotted or heard a lot of players fighting one another for exp and loot.
However, he somehow managed to hide himself from them and tactfully avoided getting in a fight with them. Hence getting to the Eldoria Kingdom safely.
Myles diverted his attention to the guards who were probably guarding the gates. Some wielded swords while some wielded very modern-looking guns
"I should hide all of my weapons before confronting them," Myles thought to himself.
He decided to store the sword that was attached to his waist in his inventory.
(You have stored a beginner's sword in your inventory)
He began to walk towards the guards a few seconds later. Myles was spotted by the guards just a few seconds later.
"Halt your steps or else we will open fire!" A guard shouted as he pointed his gun towards him.
Myles narrowed his eyes when he saw an entire squad of soldiers pointing their guns towards him. Left with no choice, Myles raised his arms in the air, signaling he meant no harm.
The guard didn't seem to buy this. A guard who was holding a sword walked towards him.
"Why have you come here?" The guard asked, his voice carrying authority.
"I have come here to settle in the Eldoria Kingdom. I am just a normal civilian; please let me go," Myles said with pleading eyes.
He decided to lie to them that he was a normal citizen. If they had found out that he was a warrior, then the chances of him entering the kingdom safely decreased by a significant margin.
The guard inspected him from top to bottom. When he made sure that Myles carried no weapon with him, he signaled the others to lower their weapons.
However, not everyone was happy with his orders.
"You old generation are fools. You trust every single stranger." A woman let out a grunt of anger.
"I agree with her; the old generation is so outdated," Another person who wielded a mechanical sword said.
Upon hearing this, the guard facing Myles stared at those who spoke with his ice-cold eyes.
"Don't bring the conflict between the old generation and the new generation here. We are here to guard the borders according to the rules set by the kingdom.
Don't forget your job" The guard exclaimed, his voice carrying a profound sense of authority.
This exerted great pressure on them, causing them to fall silent just a second later.
Myles carefully observed the friction between the members of the so-called old and new generations.
He knew that this issue needed further investigation!
"I need to have a deeper look at the tension between the old and new generation later on," Myles thought to himself.
After teaching the other guards a lesson, the guard turned his attention to Myles.
"We can grant you civilian citizenship for 4 months if you pay a fee of 1000 universal coins.
Of course, we also need to perform a background check, "the guard calmly replied.
Myles' face wrapped in horror when he heard he needed to pay a fee to enter. He only had 4000 universal coins! He had to give ¼ of his money just to enter the kingdom!!
Myles felt deep thoughts as to what to do. Of course, the guard was not so patient. A frown formed on the guard as Myles stood still which grew with each passing second.
"Please pay the fee quickly, or you can forget about entering," The guard standing in front of him said.
When Myles saw the annoyed look on the guard's face. He knew that he had no choice.
Left with no choice, hesitantly took out his pouch and handed the guard 1000 universal coins.
The guard nodded his head in satisfaction upon receiving the universal coins.
"Follow me," The guard said as he walked towards the gate.
Myles nodded his head and followed closely behind him. As he got closer and closer to the gate, the walls looked even more imposing.
When he was a few meters away from the gate. The guard halted his steps and so did he.
There was a small door on the left side of the gate which went unnoticed by Myles.
"Go inside. There, you will complete all the necessary procedures to gain temporary citizenship," The guard said as he opened the door.
Myles nodded and went inside without any hesitation. Upon entering, he saw a spacious room. The room was lit up properly with blue light. The floors were made up of marble tiles.
Most importantly, there were hundreds of people with name tags floating above their heads! They were players!
He asked one of the players how to complete the procedure to claim citizenship. Not everyone was polite enough to answer him. He encountered a person who was polite enough to answer.
"Get a form from the recipient, fill in the details, and submit it. After that, all you need to do is wait," A player said as he pointed toward the recipient.
He didn't see anything due to the crowd of people.
Nonetheless, Myles nodded his head in approval and headed towards the direction where he pointed.
A minute or two later, Myles spotted the recipient in the distance. Myles spotted a device giving the form to the crowd.
Myles got in a big line and waited for his turn. Upon receiving the form, he filled in all the details and submitted it to another desk just a few minutes later.
Myles got a small circular gadget that will turn green when his citizenship is finalized. Afterward, he will just have to receive it from another machine.
"Now I just need to wait," Myles thought to himself as he walked away from the recipient.
As he was walking away, a familiar voice resounded through his ears.
"Is that you Myles?" A voice resounded through his ears.
