Chapter 19 - Zane Reid

Cassian and Dylan came down after spending an hour in silence. It was peaceful. Dylan when came down and sat down to study again, he was stunned to have his mind clear. He had thought so many things just a second before. Whatever he heard and known, now nothing matters. Cassian is still that person he knew before. He is still someone's who intrigued Dylan's interest.

Cassian is also making notes and other stuffs. He didn't conceal his Saffron hair now. Dylan noticed this and felt sudden urge to pat it slowly. They are the most beautiful hue of golden-orange, and warm. His hair looks so radiant and contrasting with his milky skin. That creates a striking and luminous effect. Those will surely feel good. Dylan thought and thought finding himself in a difficult situation.

He dragged his gaze forcefully and glued it on the papers before him. This is wrong. Dylan thought, he cannot afford to make any wrong move. He has this feeling that if he did something that makes this person dispose him, he will regret it deeply. Dylan felt stupid. Like he is going more and more out of his control.

He suddenly asked Cassian, "You don't find it hard to tell me? Everything that you said before?" His voice containing a little helplessness.

Cassian slanted his head to look at Dylan. He replied, "You find it hard to digest?" Hearing his words Dylan couldn't reply in time. He doesn't know. Can't understand. Does he find it agreeable? Or difficult to process? He silently shook his head.

Cassian smiled, "Well, I don't find it hard to tell. I don't mind it very much. It was a phase that I had to face. It has passed." His voice appeared a little too low.

Dylan nodded and said, "You are fine. Even though you don't find it hard to tell, in the future don't tell anyone about it. Something should be left unsaid for peaceful future."

Hearing his words Cassian let out a light chuckle. It was so light that Dylan almost missed it. His heartbeat raised. As if something is rushing in him. He is getting excited. His face slightly flushed. Something that never happened before.

The other one, Cassian is also smiling a little. But this smile contains something more. He can feel the intense stared of the other person on his back, but it soon went away. He looked back at Dylan and found him looking down. He cannot help but do admit in his heart, 'Dylan is a good.'

The atmosphere is so peaceful and happy. The two boys, thinking about things which coincides with each other. But they don't know about anything. Maybe fate always acts like this. Thing happens when one doesn't have any expectations and even a thought. Like is unexpected journey. Always step ahead to embrace it.

Likewise, Dylan in the morning left for the breakfast and Cassian stayed. He didn't move. His whole body having a fresh morning start in the balcony. He slowly freshens up after Dylan went away. He packed his things slowly and decided to read few things before going for the class.

He sat down at the desk and flipped through the book. He has his headphones on and too focused on the book that he didn't notice that someone has come in the room.

Cassian felt someone tap him on his shoulder and looked back. He saw someone like Dylan. Almost like Dylan but too fierce. His expression is telling Cassian, I'm from the military. Cassian slowly took off his headphones and looked back with a questioning gaze.

He is glad though he had already worn his headwear. A deep internal sigh was released. He then calmly gazed at this person. This person before him is giving off a vibe of a strong and dangerous animal. Cold and untouchable. But he is super handsome.

Cassian saw that he has no intention to speak up and asked, "Who are you?" The question seemed to jolt the person awake. His cold eyes again only glanced at him up and down. Then only did this gentleman opened his mouth to say, "I'm Zane Reid. Where is my brother?"

Cassian understood and replied, "He has gone down to have his breakfast and will come back soon. Please sit down."

He looked down at his watch and said to Zane who is now looking around the room. "I have to go for my classes now. Please make yourself at home. Dylan and we are from different semester, so he has time." Cassian bowed respectfully and left.

When Dylan reached the room. He didn't saw Cassian as usual sitting at his chair. Instead, he noticed his elder brother straight away. Zane also looks at his younger brother and smiled at him. Dylan smiled at him back.

They are brothers after all. If Dylan has any kind of warmth in his childhood, it was all related to Zane. He had no other people close to him either.

Dylan uttered, "Brother?"

Zane stood up and hugged his junior. He closed his eyes and opened them leaving the embrace. He said, "How are you doing?"

Dylan replied, "I'm fine. What about you?"

Zane shook his head, "What can happen to me? I'm fine too."

Zane sat on his bed and Dylan too. Zane said, "I just happened to be around here for few days and thought to visit you. I asked few people here and they showed me your room."

This is their nature. They explain why and how they came and went. Everything. Dylan nodded. Zane again said knowing his reserve nature, "I met your roommate." He smiled, "This time you got someone fine. Previous one was a headache." Zane still remembered Karl's disgusting attitude. He frowned remembering him.

Dylan agreed, "Yes he is okay."

Zane than said something that shocked Dylan, "Dylan, I'm here to tell you something." Dylan looked at him waiting for him to speak. Zane just smiled but this time he displayed something like sadness and also happiness. He said, "I fell in love. But tragically it happens to be a guy. Maybe mom and dad won't accept this relationship."
