Dylan asked, "Your father told me to ask you about the psychological patient." He waited for a while and Cassian looked at him deeply.
His gaze containing meanings that are difficult to decipher. Cassian suddenly said, "Come with me."
Dylan didn't asked where and went after him. It was night and the warden was already done with his duty. So they didn't felt threatened. They took the stairs and reached the top of the building. There are net at all sides of the bhilding. Cassian walked ahead and spread his hands wide, closing his eyes, and feeling the fresh cold air. His back relaxed and he fell on the ground. Dylan who was few steps back was too late to held him.
"Hey, are you alright? Did you feel dizzy?" He hurriedly check on him. Cassian has his eyes closed. He is breathing deeply. Dylan checked his thoroughly and sighed in relief. He thought he will have to call for a doctor. Dylan waited for him to open his eyes. The time ticked by and Dylan who should be losing his patience was very relaxed and even happy.
Cassian asked, "Do you want to know what it means to be a psychological patient?"
Dylan thought for moment and replied, "I would like to know." Aren't they people having issue with mentality and I stable mind.
Cassian slowly opened his eyes and said, "You know what, psychological patient is normal people." Dylan looked down at him with a frown. Before he could open his mouth Cassian said, "They are just humans with different thoughts and perception. Psychological patient are miraculous and interesting people. They behave how a human should behave. When you meet them, they will react for their own benefit and will not react otherwise. Psychological patient have wants like others but a bit different."
He added knowing how difficult it is to understand, "They are reasonable in their own way. However, normal humans even do things without reason."
He smiled at Dylan, "You must have been offered to come at my father's office right?" Hearing his question Dylan pursed hai lips. Noticing his reaction Cassian continued, "It must be because he wanted to interact you more . And because you were uncomfortable or misunderstood his actions he asked you to ask me."
Dylan stayed silent and asked Cassian, "You think I'm a psychological patient?"
Cassian shook his head. He said, "We are different. I'm a patient but you aren't. You are just confused. We are totally different." His voice calm yet the words heavy like tsunami.
Dylan asked with his eyes wide opened, "You are what?" He felt as though he has heard something private. He cannot believe his own ears. Cassian just said something like this with ease. He didn't even flinch. His eyes clear as he is looking up at the moon.
Cassian was carefree and nodded, "I was diagnosed with several kinds of psychological issues. Severe developmental disorder and mental health disorder."
His gaze turned nostalgic as he started to say, "I have this different colored hair and my eyes too. They both are very attractive in a negative way. I was always centered of others attention. My childhood was spent on trying to interact with people around me. Their eyes felt terrifying and even vicious. It was just my perception though, non had that kind of reaction towards me in reality. It was all in my head."
"It was extremely difficult, to know, how to say what at the right moment. What if I offend them and make enemies? How will others see me? But later I changed." He signsd, "What does this life means to me? How should I see this to go with flow? Am I even allowed to think something like this? What if I end up something that I'm not?"
"All these made me feel too much emotions at once. I was lost. I turned my life up and down. I didn't approached anyone. I distanced myself from everyone. My life turned black and white."
He smiled timidly. This look made Dylan feel a dull pain deep inside his heart. He felt like he should comfort him but he don't have any words. Everything seems futile just as his words. Cassian continued his thoughts, "My father noticed these symptoms and treated me immediately. He made me realised where I was taking my life to. It was at the mount of destruction."
"Why was it at the mount of distruction?" Dylan asked subconsciously. Cassian didn't mind his question and answered, "It was at the mount of destruction, because, I turned all my focus on the negative things. I turned blind eyed on the positive things in life. I have beautiful parents. Very good, who gets someone like them? Very rare isn't it? I'm born with silver spoon. Others are dying to earn money. I can live my life and do something that can change others life. But I was only thinking about my own problems and tension when the world outside has thousands more than me." He laughed, "It's so funny. I thought something like that."
"But I realised, if I live, I will meet someone worth my life. Even though a hope but it does exists. I know, one day there will be someone who will be worth my pain of living everyday."
Dylan asked slowly, "How old were you at that time?"
Cassian replied, "I was around thirteen at that time." He added , "It was the age of children who should be making friends and playing. But it was totally opposite for me. I was at home, locked in my room. Never stepping out and slowly got attached to the silence around me."
He glanced at Dylan, "But I know, I will find someone, I will show that person what I have gone through, how I lived for them, how I waited, and the most important things, how I will cherish them. Although the chances are small. It still exists. Isn't it?" He smiled.
Dylan drowned in it slowly but this time knowingly.
