The curse was designed to trap our souls in the abyss. The abyss itself was created to imprison demigods or beings of extreme power, specifically those of the supreme tier and above. It was intended for beings above level 81, from tier 9 to 15. She planned it so that beings of such caliber would be physically confined in this place, while the curse would hold their souls to the abyss. Do you understand what I'm saying…"
Arthur paused for a moment before adding, "Now, consider this: what if a being of zero tier, someone who isn't cursed by the goddess or bounded by her system, arrived here? What do you think would happen?"
I thought for a moment, and the realization hit me hard, my eyes widening in astonishment. I looked at Arthur in disbelief, and he laughed again, along with the others.
"Yes," Arthur said, "you are right. You will be able to escape from this prison."
"But why did she create such a loophole?"
"She created this loophole because can an 'insect' harm a being like a dragon where as some other beings like a goblin or ogre the dragon may. That means, weak people are not capable of harming her, and can be locked up in a normal wooden prison. Those who are capable of harming her are locked inside this, unbreakable prison. Perhaps another reason was her laziness; after sending you, she didn't bother to eliminate such loopholes or curse you."
"HAHAHAHA… That lazy b*tch kakakaka…"
"HAHAHAHAHA…"
"HAHAHA…"
"HAHAHAHAHAHA…"
This time we all laughed at the foolishness and arrogance of the goddess.
"Enough, stop laughing, and now let us make a plan," Valmos said.
We all turned quiet and our faces turned serious.
"Don't we already have a plan, we will do that… and this… oh that too and then that…" Arthur said excitedly.
"What the hell are you saying?" I asked.
"You want me to explain again we will do that and then you will be doing that and then that and boom object accomplished." He replied.
"…"
"Leave him be, he is like that when he is excited and making a plan," Emyr said.
I nodded.
…
"Okay, the plan is simple. You need to die," Arthur said to me, his tone dead serious.
I stared at him dumbfounded.
"What do you mean?" I asked, my voice filled with shock.
Arthur sighed and began explaining his plan. And this time not in 'that' language but in a proper understandable language.
After he finished explaining I looked at him and said, "What bullsh*t are you spouting bro? Valmos, Emyr are you hearing what he is saying."
I wanted their support on this.
But,
"We agree with Arthur. You will die. Just accept it. He is crazy but the smartest one here."
"Oooooh, Emy, Val you both think I am the smartest. Thanks a lot hehe" Arthur said.
"What the… did you not hear we also called you crazy." Replied Emyr.
"hehehe" Arthur was busy in his own world laughing crazily.
'What their praise got him excited that much… But Val and Emy…'
"Hey! Come back here," Emyr said while running after Arthur.
Ignoring their shenanigans. I had a lot of questions but seeing them I didn't want to ruin the mood. So for now I will not ask them. But I will surely ask it later.
As for the trust. I don't know how to explain but something was telling me that they were telling the truth. I don't know how but I know I can trust them. I am not feeling the same when I met the goddess which is a good thing…
I will surely get out of this place!
'Even if it means going along with their plan.'
Or am I under what they call peer pressure…
…
Arthur POV:
The Demon King was a legendary figure whose story began long before our own.
He was the most powerful 'general' in the army of the previous Demon King.
Most of the species in our realm have a common saying.
"Serve the strong."
Do you know what that means?
Only the stronger one rules. The weeks are forgotten.
This gives people the right to challenge the kings. This is a fight to the death. If the challenger wins he will be crowned as the new king and progenitor of the species. He will devour all the levels of the king. And if the king wins, the challenger's level will be devoured and boost the level of the king.
This is the sick nature of this world, that is to kill and become stronger.
Anyway,
After I was born, the previous demon king was challenged by his general. Which in turn took shape into a fierce battle.
I don't know if it is true or not but the rumor was that both of them fought continuously for 5 days. As I said I don't know if it is true or not… I wish I asked the demon king but at that time more concerning issues were at hand.
Anyway, the outcome of the battle was that the previous demon king. The new demon king assumed the throne and became the progenitor of the demons. He is the demon king we all know.
…
After some years,
I was considered a genius of my generation due to my magic and fast level-ups. The same could be said about Valmos and Emyr, they were also leveling unusually fast. We heard each other's news.
Like, 'Did you know Arthur of elven race has broken through tier 3'
'so what Emyr is going to enter tier 3 as well'
'I heard Valmos of the vampire is at the same level as these two'
…
These types of talks, created a rivalry between us, even if we hadn't met once we considered each other as a person whom we wanted to beat.
Time passed by, and an issue arose. That was a fight between dragons, elves, and vampires. And our dumb leaders blamed each other and started a war.
The cause was that the son/daughter of the leaders were assassinated and we all blamed each other.
These 3 races have one thing in common which is the care of family very much. And heightened emotions of vampires and dragons didn't help. And dragons have more heightened than any other being emotions so in the war they were going berserk.
Anyway, I met Valmos and Emyr on the battlefield. We were all around level 65 which is tier 6. We fought each other.
My magic was met with Emyr's hard scale and regeneration. Their attacks were defended by my magic and agility.
At that time only one thought was coursing through our minds…
'Rumors weren't exaggerated at all. These guys really are my rivals.'
…
Our battle ended… No one was defeated nor there was a winner.
We all were saved and were sent to recuperate at our initial race camp.
And while were there… The leaders… Those dumb f*cks came to know that this was all a plot.
A plot that was schemed by the demons to weaken the three races and conquer us.
After the war, a peace treaty was signed, it also included the term 'alliance'.
Our leaders wanted to attack the demons but after this war, we all were weakened. So we wanted to regain and increase our strength.
…
The three kings opened a school together to reduce the enmity between them.
I mean, you and a person fought, and the next moment you are supposed to trust that person in a life-and-death situation. You can't do that completely now, can you?
I was enrolled in this school. Where I met my rivals for the second time in my life.
We studied together and fought mock duels. Our rivalry quickly evolved into a deep friendship.
And the school ended.
…
One day,
Emyr like any other day came to the elven kingdom to get his as* whopped… Cough… to train. Valmos didn't come because he was busy. So both of us were together.
And then the duel happened.
It was not my victory like always but a tie.
'He did something.' I thought.
"Hey, what did you do? What magic did you do to do that…" I asked.
"What 'that'?" he asked in confusion.
'Aren't dragons supposed to be smart, then why is he dumb? How can he not understand such simple language?'
"That… You did that." I explained to him using my fingers.
I tried to form a flow of fire with my hands and then quickly a dragon who dodged it.
"What are you doing? Are you okay?" He asked in concern.
"…"
I stopped and looked at him in frustration.
"How are you able to dodge beforehand?" I asked as if explaining a 1-year-old.
"Oh, that! You should have said so. It is my dragon eye, I can see the flow of magic. That helped me dodge most of your attacks… Hey, why are you looking at me like that!?"
I don't know what he was talking about. But I bribed him if he could let me do an 'experiment'. He was scared of my expression but he agreed.
'Am I that scary?' I thought.
…
"HAHAHAHA, YES EMYR THAT IS IT, NOW SHOW ME YOUR MAGIC HAHAHAHA"
"PLEASE I DON'T WANT ANYTHING IN RETURN JUST LET ME OUT! LET ME OUT! SORRY!" He cried.
After that incident, Emyr didn't come to meet me, when he was alone. Whenever he came he came with Valmos…
