Akira, seeing Alphagob had finished slaughtering the soldiers and guards, teleported back to the center of the town with the ogres and Lord Henry's severed head under his feet. Channeling mana into his throat, Akira's voice boomed across the town, reverberating off the buildings and filling every corner with his presence.
"Citizens of this nameless town!" he began. "My name is Fate, and I am the adventurer who defeated the lich in the past that once occupied this place. As you can see, I have killed Lord Henry, and his head lies beneath my feet. I am the new lord of this place. If you wish to leave, you may do so, but if you wish to stay, you are welcome. I will not rule over you directly. Instead, I will elect a person from among you to act as a bridge between us, someone to whom I will listen and who will report on your satisfaction and the town's well-being. You will collectively choose this person, and if there are multiple candidates, the one with the majority vote will be selected. I will return in three days to oversee the election process. Until then, I will leave someone in charge."
Akira looked around and saw the townsfolk peeking out from behind market stalls and under carts, their eyes wide with fear. He couldn't find anyone fit for such role. He decided on a familiar face and teleported Jarvis beside him, catching him in the middle of cooking, holding a wooden spoon. Jarvis, initially confused, relaxed upon seeing Akira and the ogres.
"This is Jarvis," Akira announced. "He will oversee the town until the elections take place. Should you need anything, he is your point of contact, ensuring order is maintained."
Jarvis, still somewhat bewildered, whispered, "Master, I don't quite understand the situation."
Akira pointed to Henry's head. "Until I return, you will take care of this town. You're familiar with it, and I trust you. Use Henry's wealth to hire people to clean his mansion. Remember, there will be an election to choose a representative who will work with me to build this town."
Jarvis bowed. "I will do my best, Master."
Akira turned to Alphagob. "You will stay here and assist Jarvis."
"Yes, Master," Alphagob replied.
Spotting a nearby fruit seller, Akira called out, "Hey, you!"
The fruit seller, terrified, raised his hands. "I have done nothing!"
"Bring me a sack," Akira ordered.
In a frenzy, the seller searched for a sack, knocking over trays of fruit in his haste. He finally ran to Akira and fell during his short run. Stood up and hurried to Akira. Akira gave him a playful slap on the shoulder. "This one is amusing," Akira said, chuckling. "Now, please put the head in the sack."
The fruit seller, trembling, struggled to comply until Jarvis held the sack open. Once the head was inside, Jarvis handed it to Gammagob.
Akira instructed Jarvis, "The mansion is a mess right now. Hire people to clean it and use Henry's wealth for the task if needed. The townsfolk will elect their representative in three days."
Jarvis then asks," What if no one stands up?".
Akira then looks here and there, Akira lands his eyes on the fruit seller and says,"If no one comes forth then this fruit seller here will be the representative."
Akira then says to Jarvis,"I will be going back to the base now. Take care of stuff here."
As Akira finish his sentence Jarvis says,"Master, the advisor is still waiting at the base."
Akira replies with an OK and teleports with Gammagob.
The fruit seller, still standing nearby, was shocked. Jarvis placed a hand on his shoulder. "What's your name?"
"My lord, my name is Archie Snow. I am just a common fruit seller."
"Nice to meet you, Archie," Jarvis said, extending his hand.
Seeing Jarvis shake hands with Archie, a familiar figure, the townsfolk began to relax. Jarvis gave Archie a gold coin. "Gather those skilled at cleaning and meet me in front of the lord's mansion."
"Yes, my lord. Right away," Archie replied, bowing.
As Jarvis and Alphagob walked toward the mansion, Jarvis joked about Alphagob's blood-soaked appearance and how messy he looks, eliciting a rare smile from the ogre. The townspeople whispered as they passed, but Jarvis paid them no mind.
Passing a barbecue stall, Jarvis asked Alphagob, "Want to try some?" Alphagob's stomach growled in response. Jarvis handed the seller some silver coins, receiving meat served on leaves. He gave most of it to Alphagob, taking a small portion for himself.
Reaching the mansion, they found it drenched in blood and littered with corpses. Jarvis again cracks a joke of how he knows a certain someone who might have done this mess and looks towards Aplhagob referring to him. Alphagob notices a sense of happiness and calmness on Jarvis' face and figures that Jarvis is back at his home town and he is happy with it.
They waited a moment before Archie arrived with a group of cleaners at the front of the mansion.
As the townspeople began to gather, drawn by curiosity and hope, the first steps toward rebuilding and order were set in motion. The future of the nameless town, once ruled by fear and greed, now stood on the precipice of a new era, led by those who had once lived in its shadows.
