The commander of the Duatt army and Akira stood face to face in the middle of a field strewn with corpses. The commander announced, "I am Ethel Virgo of the Virgo family of the Duatt kingdom, one of the great families of beast people."
Without warning, Akira teleported in front of Ethel and said, "You talk too much" then delivered a powerful punch. Ethel barely managed to get his guard up, but the force of the punch threw him back. The minotaur and the healer, who is still on her knees, were shocked at how Akira had appeared so suddenly. The minotaur raised his ax and tried to swing it at Akira, but Akira merely kicked him in the stomach, sending him flying.
The healer screamed the minotaur's name, "ADA!" Ethel sprinted towards Akira with daggers drawn, aiming to kill, but Gammagob intercepted him midway, blocking his attacks with his own daggers. Ethel, shocked, realized that a mere ogre could match his speed. He was one of the fastest beast people in the kingdom, and for an ogre to keep up with him was no small feat.
Ethel remembered that his family had sent him on this small expedition to gain recognition. They were planning to attack Concordia and were here just to make ground for the main army. It was supposed to be an easy task, but now they faced formidable foes. As the dust settled, Ada, bleeding from his mouth, marched towards Akira. Akira acknowledged Ada's strength, noting that as a beast person, a minotaur was known for its strength and durability. Akira ordered Deltagob to handle Ada.
Deltagob wielded a giant ax. As Ada charged at Akira, Deltagob swung his ax. Ada barely saw it coming and ducked. He swung his ax at Deltagob, who parried, causing sparks and loud metallic sounds as their axes clashed. They continued to swing and block each other's attacks. On the other side, Ethel was attacking Gammagob with his daggers, but Gammagob matched his speed and blocked every strike. The healer, still in shock, witnessed the impossible: an ogre matching the speed of Ethel and the raw strength of Ada.
Akira stood beside her, observing his ogres. He casually asked, "So, little foxie, what can you do?" The healer looked at Akira, still standing where he had teleported, and asked, "What kind of monster are you?" Ethel shouted, "Eileen, focus on buffing Ada! I can handle this ogre." As Eileen raised her hands to buff Ada, the wyvern swooped down and pinned her with its leg, immobilizing her. Ada, enraged by the sight, activated his berserk skill. His speed and strength increased, his eyes turned red, and his muscles bulged. Ethel, still fighting Gammagob, smirked and said, "Your ally is done for."
Gammagob responded with a smirk of his own and continued fighting. In his berserk state, Ada overpowered Deltagob with rapid ax swings. Akira then said, "You don't have to hold back anymore." Hearing this, Deltagob kicked the enraged minotaur in the stomach and let out a loud battle cry. Ada responded with his own battle cry, and they continued smashing their axes at each other, but now Deltagob was overpowering Ada and he isn't holding back anymore.
Ethel was shocked. He thought, "How is this possible? Ada's berserk state isn't doing much against that ogre." He decided to help Ada, but Gammagob said, "You have your own problem." Deltagob gradually overpowered Ada, finally swinging his ax so hard that Ada's ax flew away. Now unarmed, Ada tried to punch Deltagob, but Deltagob grabbed his arm with one hand and broke his wrist.
Ethel heard Ada's cry and tried to assist him, but Gammagob grabbed his leg and tossed him to the other side of the field. Akira recalled how the respective jobs of the ogres had made them powerful. Mining had developed Deltagob's monstrous strength, and hunting had honed Gammagob's speed and stamina. Ada tried to free himself from Deltagob's hold, but Deltagob stood firm.
Ada, now on his knees, wrapped his other arm around Deltagob, attempting to crush him with a bear hug. He believed he could kill the ogre, thinking that no one in the kingdom had ever escaped his bear hug. But then he saw Deltagob's face, showing no sign of pain. Ada shouted, "You can't hide your pain from me! Scream for me!" Deltagob then applied more strength, loosening Ada's hold and freeing himself. Ada, in a state of shock, falls on one knee and tries to catch some breath.
Deltagob grabbed Ada and bear-hugged him in return. The pain made Ada scream. Ethel watched in horror as Deltagob added more strength, and then a cracking sound was heard. Ada went silent. Deltagob released him, and the sight brought tears to Eileen's eyes. She screams NO!. Ethel, seeing his friend die, released a loud battle cry and increased his speed. He launched a barrage of slash attacks at Gammagob, cutting him here and there. Gammagob struggled to match his speed and went on the defensive, remaining calm.
Ethel shouted, "I will kill you all for what you have done! I don't care if this is my last battle!" With that, he removed his limiter, increasing his speed and turning his skin red as his heart pumped blood faster. Eileen screamed, "Ethel, Don't do it! You will die at this rate!" Ethel's speed overwhelmed Gammagob, but Akira advised, "Remain calm and think of what you should do next."
Gammagob closed his eyes and recalled how there was a constant mana surrounding Master Akira, using it to locate things. Gammagob began to emit mana from his body, creating an invisible sphere around himself. He could now sense Ethel's movements. As Ethel prepared to end the fight, Gammagob dropped his daggers and grabbed Ethel's hand. The blade barely scratched Gammagob's throat, and a drop of blood comes out of the point of attack. Gammagob opened his eyes and punched Ethel in the stomach, causing blood to gush from Ethel's mouth. Gammagob then smashed him repeatedly into the ground like a ragdoll and then released him and he dropped to the ground.
Ethel barely stood, and in a last-ditch effort, tried to kick Gammagob in the head as Gammagob bent to grab his daggers. Gammagob sensed it and, with lightning speed, dodged. As Ethel was still in mid-air, Gammagob sliced his leg with his dagger.
