Akira, riding his wyvern, surveys everything from a bird's-eye view. He then talks to the wyvern and places his hand on its head. "The army is coming here tomorrow," Akira says. "So, it's better to take the fight to them." Akira then flies here and there, searching for the army camp. Meanwhile, in the nameless town, Jarvis is making sure not a single spot is left dirty. Archie and his crew work diligently, and through small talk, Jarvis learns that Archie and his crew have lived here since childhood. They lost their families in the wave and did anything to make a few coins and survive. They are good, hard working people. Seeing Jarvis and Alphagob, now clean, taking walks around the town to ensure things are going smoothly gives people a sense of comfort. They know they just have to spend their day normally and not do anything illegal or cause a fuss. If they don't, they will be fine. Surprisingly, with just Alphagob and Jarvis patrolling the town, no thefts or fights are occurring. There's no ruckus, just the sound of people bargaining and advertising their merchandise. The townspeople have not yet decided whom they will elect because they are afraid of making a mistake and being slaughtered by the towering ogre.
Jarvis then goes to the place where his childhood friends used to live. But when he arrives, he sees that the home is abandoned, inhabited only by mice. Seeing that house brings back old memories of his life, when he would go to his friends' place, drink with them, and then return to the lord's mansion. His eyes start to tear up, but he holds back the tears. Alphagob, who is just behind him, asks, "Is something bothering you, Jarvis?" Jarvis turns back and returns to patrolling the town, saying, "Everything is alright. We should get back to Archie. He should be done by now." They walk back to the mansion.
Jarvis enters the mansion, and as he walks down the corridor, Archie comes running towards them from a corner, not seeing them coming. Archie is about to bump into Jarvis, but Alphagob grabs Archie by the back of his shirt, lifting him off the ground. Realizing what has happened, Archie tries to bow and ask for forgiveness. Jarvis signals Alphagob to put Archie down, and Alphagob slowly sets him on his feet. Archie then properly bows and apologizes again. Jarvis asks, "Why were you running, Archie?" Archie responds, "Oh yes, I forgot. I have something to show you. I was looking for you." Jarvis and Alphagob follow Archie, who takes them to Lord Henry's resting chambers. Inside, they see Archie's friends have found a hidden compartment behind the old lord's bed. They explain how, after cleaning the entire place, they decided to try the comfortable bed of the lord. While play-fighting with pillows, Archie fell behind the bed, knocked off a painting, and discovered a section of the wall was hollow, filled with small bags and chests of treasure. They took them out and called Jarvis.
Jarvis realizes that this explains why they found only a few hundred coins in the town's funds—it had seemed strange to find so little, but now it all makes sense. Jarvis then calls everyone from Archie's crew and hands each of them 10 gold coins. They are amazed, their eyes widening at the reward. Jarvis tells them to keep it a secret and explains that it's for their honesty. He additionally gives each of them an extra coin, saying, "Drinks are on me." This makes the crew even happier. Jarvis then pulls out his spatial bag and tells them to put the bags of gold in it, which they do. Jarvis explains that all of this money will be used to develop the town. The crew, optimistic about the future, asks Jarvis if they are free to leave. Jarvis replies, "Of course," and further says, "Elections are tomorrow, Archie. Make sure not to leave town." Jarvis smiles and gives a thumbs up. Archie, noticing his sarcastic smile, says, "What should I do?" But his friends pick him up, saying, "Forget about tomorrow. Let's get drunk tonight and have a feast," and drag him out of the room and the mansion. They head straight to the tavern, where people see their empty pockets now filled with gold coins. They get drunk and tell everyone that the money was given to them by Lord Jarvis, who has rewarded them graciously. They speak of his kindness and strength, spreading the news of the new lord's generosity throughout the town in a single night.
It is evening now, and the sun is starting to set. Akira still hasn't found the army's camp because the tree line is quite thick. As it gets dark, Akira gives up and heads to the town to check on Jarvis. However, he sees light emitting from the forest and flies above it to investigate. He discovers that he was searching in the wrong direction. The army is ahead of schedule and ready to attack the town if they choose to. Akira further investigates and finds that there are over a thousand soldiers, most of whom are resting and not expecting an ambush, although the guards are on high alert. The guards and some soldiers spot the wyvern but assume it is a wild one roaming the skies and ignore it, though they keep checking the sky occasionally.
Akira decides to attack. He tells the wyvern to land at a distance from the army and decides to reveal what he has been working on in the crafting room for so long. He is ready to use his trump cards.
