Rebecca woke up early the next day to a strange noise. After gathering her composure, she followed the sound into the kitchen. She took a deep breath before speaking.
"You gave me quite a scare. You almost gave me a heart attack," Moore replied.
"How did you manage to sneak up here without me noticing?" Moore asked.
"This is my house, and I thought you were an intruder," Rebecca replied. "I'm sorry for the noise. I didn't mean to startle you. I just wanted to prepare breakfast for you before you woke up."
Rebecca's face lit up with a smile and a hint of red on her cheeks as she murmured to herself for a moment before responding. "Thank you very much, but you didn't have to. I could have done it myself."
"That's the least I could do, considering you were injured yesterday," Moore replied. Changing the subject, Rebecca remarked, "You know your way around the kitchen. How thoughtful of you."
Moore smiled and said, "It's important for us guys to know how to cook, or else ladies will run circles around us."
Rebecca responded, "I like a man who is independent. So, what are we having for breakfast?"
"Just a simple meal of fried eggs sunny side up with sautéed veggies and toast. And you're good to go," Moore said.
"I'm almost done here. Why don't you go freshen up?" Rebecca nodded and left.
After about twenty minutes, she returned looking sharp. Moore was taken aback by her appearance. After a brief pause, he said, "Rebecca, you look stunning today."
She giggled and spun around before responding in a seductive voice, "Thank you for the compliment."
Moore gestured for her to take a seat before serving her. Rebecca took a bite of the food and exclaimed, "Wow, you're a wonderful chef.""The food tastes perfect," Rebecca remarked as Moore poured her a glass of orange juice. He replied, "It's nothing." Rebecca seemed to have noticed something, so she immediately said to Moore, "Where is yours? Are you not joining me or do you want me to eat alone?" Moore smiled and said, "I have to leave now. I still need to get home to change and I don't want to be late for the office. My cab has just arrived." Rebecca was hesitant, but eventually she had to admit that Moore was right or else he would be late for work. "I will see you at the office," she remarked. Moore nodded before getting into the cab. A few minutes later, the car drove off, disappearing into the early morning sunrise.
A few hours later, Moore was in his office, going through some documents. There was a knock on his door and, looking very exhausted, he said, "You may come in." To his surprise, he saw the elegant figure of Rebecca strolling in. A beautiful smile could be seen on his face. Rebecca was radiating with beauty, he thought to himself. With a calm demeanor, she walked closely to Moore before saying, "It's lunchtime. Since I had leftovers from the meal you prepared earlier, I thought we should have lunch together. This is my way of saying thank you for everything you have done for me." Moore smiled and gestured towards the table and sofa in the center of the office. "Put it over there while I finish up," he said. Rebecca smiled and walked seductively to the table to lay the contents she was holding on it. Moments later, Moore joined her at the table. Rebecca spoke first, "While they were eating, Moore, who taught you how to cook?".There was a hint of curiosity in her eyes. Moore replied with a smile on his face before saying, "The cooking channel on TV." He continued, "I watch a lot of cooking shows and I have gotten pretty good at cooking." Rebecca exclaimed before asking, "Why cooking shows? Most men I know would rather watch sports channels or news channels, not cooking shows." Moore replied, "To know thyself is to know one's true strength." Rebecca could only nod in return. "Hmmm, I don't understand," she replied. Moore, understanding her thoughts, said, "My mom has a saying - it is good for men to know how to cook, so that they can not be too reliant on a woman." Rebecca nodded in acknowledgement before saying, "How thoughtful of your mother." Moore chuckled before swallowing his saliva and asking Rebecca a question. "I have been curious, why date someone like Tom?" Rebecca was hesitant for a while before finally saying with a low voice, "In the beginning, he was very nice to me and helped me out during my most difficult moments. So dating him came naturally and was perfect for a while, until he started lying and finally, I caught him cheating on me with several women." Moore replied, "That was spontaneous. I can't believe someone like him would cheat on someone as beautiful as you." Rebecca immediately answered, "All men are the same once they have gotten what they want from a woman. They forget all the promises they made while they were courting." "My mom has this saying - be careful who you love, don't go around breaking young girls' hearts, or it will not end well with you."I have tried to live by this principle. Rebecca took a deep breath before staring straight into Moore's eyes, as if sensing something new. She replied by saying, "It seems you have a sugar-coated tongue. I see you are a smooth talker. I should beware of men like you." She laughed out loud as she said this. Moore, in turn, laughed out loud. At that moment, there was a strong chemistry between them. The air was filled with pheromones. Suddenly, there was a knock at the door.
Meanwhile, Katerina was in her office with Madam Gee and Marcy. It seemed that our branch office was under attack from our competitors. Reports indicate that we have suffered heavy losses. "We need someone there to steady the ship," said Katerina.
