Moore felt dejected upon hearing the voice, with a cold demeanor. He asked, "Who are you, and what are you doing in my room?" The man replied, "I am the leader of the Black Scorpion Society, and I am here to inquire about a few things." Moore snorted before saying, "What few things do you wish to know, and why did you break into my room?" To which the man replied, "I am a patient man, and I have been waiting for you for a while now. Or would you have preferred my men and I attacking you in the street?" Rebecca was momentarily startled by his words before regaining her composure. In the spur of the moment, she asked, "Why are you looking for us?" To which the man replied, "Are you serious? After you messed my men up, why shouldn't I look for you? Or do you think it's that easy? Nobody messes around with the Black Scorpion Society and lives to tell the tale." He then pointed directly at Moore and said, "But you have picked my interest, and I am genuinely curious about you." Moore smiled smugly and pointed at his own face before saying, "You mean little old me? Besides, all I did was teach them a lesson. I don't think that will be enough to pique your interest."The man replied, "It is the way you did it that piqued my interest. I recognize that fighting style." Moore was taken aback by the man's words. He did a double take before asking, "And what style is that?" The man replied, "It is an ancient form of martial arts that has been lost to the ages of time. If you are practicing it or using this form of martial arts, it can only mean one thing: you are an enemy to my clan." After hearing what the man said, Moore could only let out a sigh. "You seem to know a lot about me and I don't even know your name?" Moore asked with a straight face. "My name is of no consequence," the man said dismissively, in a manner that suggests something or someone is unworthy of consideration. Moore's cold face became impassive before saying, "Since you came here to challenge me, let's get on with it." The man's face shrank a little with fear, thinking Moore was going to attack him immediately. He replied, "My master is the one issuing the challenge, I am just here to pass the message. You have to come to the Black Scorpion Society dojo immediately." Moore, still maintaining his impassive demeanor, asked, "Where is the Black Scorpion Society dojo?" The man replied, "I will take you there now."Moore turned to face Rebecca and said, "Stay here while I take care of this little matter." Rebecca was genuinely curious and worried at the same time. She thought to herself, "I have a bad feeling about this." Moore sensed her anxiety and held her close while stroking her hair. He managed to calm her down before reassuring her, "Don't worry, I will be fine." Then he walked out the door with the men.
After a while, they arrived at the Black Scorpion Society Dojo, located in a secluded area of town.
As they stood and waited, a man appeared. All members of the Black Scorpion Society bowed in a uniform manner to show their respect. Moore watched closely as the man made his way towards him. The man carried himself with grace and an aura of power and elegance could be sensed around him. He looked closely at Moore as if measuring him with both physical and spiritual eyes before letting out a sigh and gesturing for Moore to make a move. Moore felt that an introduction was necessary to maintain decorum, but he refrained from speaking. The man wasted no time in attacking. Within the blink of an eye, he was already there, right in front of Moore, extending his fist and aiming to strike Moore's central nerves. With quick reflexes, Moore was able to dodge and put some distance between himself and the man. "Any slower and I would have been done for," Moore thought to himself. Taking the time to compose himself, he launched forward with an attack of his own. However, the man effortlessly countered Moore's attack with one of his own. The collision of their punches caused a loud explosion, sending both men back some distance. After managing to compose himself, Moore felt a numbness in his arm. For the first time since experiencing this trance-like state, he stared at his arm with curiosity. The man, on the other hand, smiled before saying to Moore, "Is that all you can do?" in a provocative way. It seemed to have worked because Moore immediately became charged up. He vanished from sight, leaving only an afterimage behind. The man let out a sigh before also vanishing into thin air. The members of the Black Scorpion Society were amused by this action. Who could have thought something like this would happen in their dojo, witnessing the clash of two titans? In the blink of an eye, they appeared back in sight. As everyone watched closely, traces of blood could be seen at the corner of Moore's mouth while the man seemed to be just fine. Moore's demeanor became colder as he watched and observed the man closely. For the first time since the fight began, he felt as if he had encountered this person before.
The man sensed the change in Moore's demeanor and laughed before saying, "It seems you have to take me seriously now." Moore extended one arm towards him and burst into a flaming image of himself. The man smiled and did the same thing. As both flames collided, it felt as if the sun was directly upon the dojo. The members of the Black Scorpion felt the heat upon them. They stared in disbelief as the event unfolded around them. Two great masters fighting. What a story to tell their grandchildren, they thought.
Back on the battlefield, as both flames clashed, the resulting fire was even more intense, sending some members of the Black Scorpion Society to take cover. Moore was sent flying in the air before crashing to the ground. He felt pain all over his body and was unable to move for some time. The man, on the other hand, landed gracefully on the ground, unharmed with a smile on his face. Moore had nothing left but to admit defeat. He stared closely at the man before asking, "Who are you?"
