Upon hearing a knock at the door, Moore felt annoyed that someone could be knocking at this hour of the day. He was reluctant to open the door, but in the end, he decided to and was surprised to see Rebecca standing in front of him. She looked like a true princess in her flowing red dress. Moore was completely lost in his thoughts, admiring how beautiful she looked. Rebecca smiled shyly at him before saying, "I thought we could have dinner together. Do you have other plans?" Moore scratched his head and replied, "No, I don't have plans, but since you're insisting, I would love to join you for dinner." Rebecca smiled in confirmation and Moore went to change his clothes.
After some time, they entered the hotel restaurant and ordered food and drinks. They were starting to look like a couple, as one of the waitresses remarked. They both heard her and laughed at her words. Rebecca was more interested in how they would handle office issues and explained to Moore that they needed a good plan to work as a team. However, Moore seemed distracted by something or someone. He kept staring outside the restaurant, his senses on high alert. But he couldn't see any danger. Rebecca brought him back to reality by saying it was getting late. Moore checked the time and saw that it was half past eleven. They both left the restaurant and when they got to their separate rooms, there was a slight pause between them. They hesitated for a moment before Moore said something cheeky.
"Are you sure you want to be alone?" Rebecca smiled seductively before replying, "You just want to get into my pants." Moore's reply was bold and courageous. "I want to get into your mind, into your soul, and into your heart, and at the very least, into your pants too," he said confidently. Rebecca giggled for a moment, seemingly embarrassed by Moore's words. For a moment, she was lost for words, gazing at Moore seductively. Moore met her gaze with equal intensity. After their intense gaze, she finally spoke, "You are very good at charming ladies," but she quickly composed herself and continued, "We have a busy day ahead. We need to get some rest." Moore could only sigh before smiling at Rebecca and then turning towards his room. Rebecca smiled at him before tiptoeing into her room.
The very next day, Moore and Rebecca stood before the provincial headquarters of the Heart group in the capital. The building was a beautiful combination of modern and traditional architecture. "What a sight to behold," Moore thought to himself. He then gestured for Rebecca to enter as he opened the glass door to the reception hallway. A beautiful young receptionist smiled at them before greeting them politely, "Good morning, you are welcome to the Heart group headquarters. How may I assist you?" said the receptionist. Moore replied, "This is my colleague, Rebecca Jones, and I am Moore Alexander from the headquarters in Concordia." The receptionist immediately apologized for not recognizing them, saying, "I am sorry for my lack of decorum. We have been expecting you. Someone will escort you to the head office on the tenth floor." She called out to a male colleague to escort them.
When they arrived at the tenth floor and entered the office of the regional director, both Rebecca and Moore were met with a strange vibe from the regional director, Tom Holland. Tim was a big man with a protruding stomach and was in his fifties. Tim gazed at Rebecca before turning his gaze to Moore. He spoke with a calm demeanor, saying, "Welcome. Forgive my lack of decor, but I was instructed to give you all the support you will need. However, let's get things straight - I am still in charge of this branch."
Rebecca smiled before stating, "It seems you didn't receive the memo. We are here to take charge of this branch until further notice. So I suggest you drop your egocentric attitude and work with us to restore this branch office to its former position." Moore spoke up for the first time, saying, "We are not your enemies, Mr. Tim. We are here to do our jobs. I suggest you don't complicate things for us. Would you mind showing us to our new offices?"
Tim smiled and responded, "As expected from someone from the main branch, you two are tough. Maybe this is what we need here to have a competitive edge and survive. Now that we have exchanged pleasantries, I will show you to your offices, and then we can have a strategy session this afternoon once you are settled."
Tim led Moore and Rebecca to a spacious corner office and pointed to Moore, saying, "This one is yours." He then pointed to another spacious office next to it and said, "And this one is for you, Rebecca." Tim continued, "I will give you some time to familiarize yourselves with your new surroundings." Immediately after Tim left, Rebecca straightened up and turned to Moore, asking, "What's the plan now that we have their attention?"
Moore replied, "First, we need a list of all our clients and a list of our competitors. We need to know who our allies are and who our enemies are." Moore, while rubbing his chin, replied, "You have just shared the plan. We need that list. You will be in charge of marketing, while I will hunt down our competitors."
Later in the day, both Moore and Rebecca, along with a host of other people, were in a board meeting discussing the latest strategy. The conference room was packed as Rebecca addressed everyone in the room. Moore thought to himself, "Rebecca is really asserting her authority here." Her closing remark brought Moore back to reality. She spoke with a calm demeanor and said, "Now, I would like to introduce Mr. Moore Alexander. He is the new acting head of directors." The whole room fell silent, and one could even hear a pin drop when Rebecca made that declaration.
Moore observed the room for a while before gesturing to everyone, seeing their bewildered faces. He then spoke with an aura of authority. "I am here because the company has recently suffered some setbacks. My colleague and I are here to steady the ship and drive the company in the right direction, towards growth and progress. I hope we can all work together to restore the company's heritage." There was a round of applause in the room immediately after Moore finished his speech.
