Chapter 43 - Chapter Forty Three

~Missing~

Awn-yah was a crying mess as she sat beside the lifeless Ee-fah. Severus was there with a doctor, trying to heal her. Unfortunately, he couldn't. He sighed and turned to Severus.

"My Lord, this lady is poisoned. I cannot heal her" the doctor stated with a slight bow.

Awn-yah gasped "p..po.. poisoned?" She stuttered.

"Yes My Lady, she was stabbed with a poisoned dagger and by mere looking, this is not ordinary poison. Only the one that stabbed her can heal her" the doctor explained and Awn-yah burst into fresh tears.

"Save her please!" She cried.

"I'm sorry My Lady" he bowed one more time before leaving.

"You can't leave without saving her!" Awn-yah yelled, rushing towards the doctor but Severus caught her in time and pulled her to himself.

He hugged her close and patted her soothingly.

"Let me go, she's dying!" She yelled but Severus didn't say anything, he only comforted her with his hands. He doesn't even know why he's doing that but he felt like he had to comfort her. Afterall, Aoife is the only friend she had.

Just then, Marius appeared in the room and the duo turned to him. Aine was glaring hatefully at him, for stabbing her friend.

"You! How dare you stab her! "

"Just because she likes you!? Aren't you too lucky!?

"I hate you! I hate you!" Aine bounced at him, hitting his chest but it seems she's hitting a mountain because Marius stood there motionless.

He shook his head and shove her to a side then strode towards Aoife.

He crouched to her level and placed a palm on her wounded area, chanting some inaudible mantra. The room was quite, only soft sobs of Aine could be heard.

After a while, he stood up.

"She's healed now. She'll wake up after some time" Marius stated in a neutral tone of voice. His face was usually expressionless as he stared down at Aine.

Aine sniffled and nodded. "But you should at least consider her feelings, don't be too harsh and heartless. You're the only one Ee-fah ever loved. She's nice and sweet" Aine paused and sobbed.

"I lost my father, my sister and now, I can't afford to loose my only friend" she cried. Something flashed in Marius' eyes like that of regret but it disappeared as soon as it came. A brief silence took over for some minutes.

"Ee-fah!" Xerxes rushed in. His eyes immediately landed on Marius. Xerxes clenched his jaw and strode towards him.

"I'll kill you! I swear it!" Xerxes charged at him, aiming a knife at Marius. Marius was quick to grab Xerxes' arm just before he stab his neck.

"No!" Aine intervened. "Please brother don't. I don't want to loose you too. Please let go!" Aine cried non-stop.

All of a sudden, Aoife coughed. Marius let go of Xerxes. He gave him one last warning cold glare and disappeared.

"Ee-fah!" Both Xerxes and Aine rushed towards her.

After Rialorna threw Niamh into the flowing river, she stood there cursing her and laughing wickedly.

"Lowlife witch. You think you can come and take away my happiness? Too bad, let's see if Lansel can live without you. I'll soon take your place in his heart" she transformed back to her normal self and walked away.

Unfortunately, she didn't notice Niamh's golden tiara that fell off by the shore.

Princess Neriah and the other four princesses were all watching the couples dancing in the hall. A prince from Novosel came and dragged princess Aleazea into the dance making Neriah giggle.

Just then, a good-looking prince of Revildia - the fairy Realm, prince Aris approached Neriah. He has a set of beautiful brown eyes and blonde hair, with calm features. He was wearing a cool and charming smile as he bowed. He's princess Mariella and Alessia's elder brother.

"Greetings to the princess of the Moon Realm"

"Greetings to you, prince Aris" Neriah curtsied.

"I hope the princess is doing well" he beamed.

"I am, thank you for asking" Neriah replied, politely and regally.

"Good, if I may ask Her Serene Highness, the lady that was standing with you a while ago. The gorgeous silver princess I mean" Aris asked.

"Oh you mean, Lady Neev?" Neriah asked and he nodded instantly.

"Ay, can I see her?" Aris asked again. Neriah pressed her lips into a thin line as her eyes darted around the hall, as if searching for Neev. She saw her dancing with Lansel but after that, she didn't see her again. And then, she saw Lansel sitting with Damien, then where could Niamh be?

"Your highness?" Aris called when he didn't hear her say anything.

"I'll be right back" Neriah excused herself and left.

"Brother" Neriah called prince Dionysios.

"Did you see lady Neev?" Neriah asked instantly.

Dionysios furrowed his brows and darted his eyes around the hall. He remembered he last saw her leaving the hall.

"I saw her leaving the hall a while ago" Dionysios answered. Neriah left without saying anything.

She teleported to Neev's room but found it empty. She searched the bathroom and balcony but couldn't find her.she searched the hallway of the guest house but still couldn't find Niamh.

She met Rialorna coming out of her room

"Princess?" Rialorna called shocked.

"Have you seen Niamh?" Was the first question Neriah asked

Rialorna pretended to think for a while before shaking her head in negotiation.

"No, princess. I left the hall while she was dancing with the prince" Rialorna lied.

"I can't find her, it seems like she's missing"
