Chapter 45 - Chapter Forty Five

~Neev's Disappearance~

"What's going on?" Lansel asked again.

"What do you see? Mother is tired and needed some rest" Dionysios replied cooly.

"Oh really?" Comes another voice from behind. They turned to see prince Damien striding towards them, a mischievous smirk dancing across his lips.

"Is that what happened?" He asked, standing beside Lansel and faced Dionysios.

Dionysios only tilted his head and gave him a quizzical stare.

"Why don't you tell him Neev is missing?" Damien spat out.

GBANG! BADUM BADUM!

Lansel felt a loud bang on his head.

Neev? Missing?

Damien smirked noticing Lansel's shocked expression

"Oh you must be really surprised. Poor Neev" he patted Lansel's shoulder.

Lansel breathed out and gazed up at Dionysios. "Why were you trying to hide it from me?" His voice was smoldering with a certain restrained rage that are yet to break out.

"It would have been better without you knowing. I can handle it" Dionysios tried to reason.

He knew his brother so well. Letting him know would only put people's lives at risk because Lansel acts reckless when he's angry. And by mere looking, he's like a volcano now. Boiling up, ready to erupt in the next minute.

"Or maybe you have hand in her whereabouts" Damien chipped in.

"Stay out of it!" Lansel's cold voice resounded in the walls of the grand hall and Damien only smirked.

Damien is truly acting suspicious with the way he talks and smirks.

"Fine I'm out. I'll be coming back to take her when you find her or....I can just go and search for her. You, searching for her smirks out waste of time because she's already mine" Damien stated. And just like that, he disappeared.

Lansel clenched his jaws tightly and turned to Dionysios.

"Who was she with before she left?"

"We found this by the river bank" Lucretzia handed him the tiara. Lansel slowly collected it. His hands were shaking for some reasons he doesn't even know. There was a strange feeling in his heart, the feeling of anger and rage. He'll wipe out the entire clan of the person who has hand in Niamh's disappearance. He'll do that...for her...for Niamh. He grabbed the tiara tightly as if it'll disappear once he let go of it.

"Are there no traces of someone there?" He asked as his gaze raked over Lucretzia. His gaze was intense and burning with an impending storm.

"Let's check for the second time" Dionysios suggested.

"Go to your room, Neriah" he turned to her. Neriah nodded and disappeared.

While they left for the river, Lansel summoned Marius telepathically and ordered him to order all the royal guards in the kingdom to search for Niamh.

Lucretzia observed the river bank for a while. She could see the footprints of someone in the sand. She crouched down and dabbed her palms on the sand, her eyes were shut like she was meditating. After a while, she stood up with a start.

"The footprints belonged to someone from Elvkinles" she informed.

Lansel smirked, the daggers and ancient glaciers flashed by his eyes.

"Those elves!" Saying that, he opened a portal and entered. Lucretzia and Dionysios entered and the portal closed.

They appeared in Elvkinles, the magnificent elven kingdom. It's night so there weren't much people outside. Only the guards patrolling.

The trio made their way to the throne room. The guards opened the door and they walked in. Lansel was leading the way, his aura was freezing cold and exhibits danger. A merciless chill was suddenly emanated from those sea green eyes.

In the throne room were Queen Filanthi, King Livius, Prince Alaric, Prince Caesar, and the three princesses; Rialorna, Aleazea and Gabriella.

They all had a shocked expression as they sighted those standing by the door. Rialorna's heart was thumping hard, seeing how dangerous prince Lansel looked.

She knows she won't get away with this, if he finds out she's behind Neev's disappearance. No, she won't let him suspect her.

Every step Lansel took felt like a ticking bomb as they finally stood in front of them.

"Prince Lansel and Prince Dionysios, it's really thrilling to have you here by this hour" King Livius beamed genuinely.

"Did you come here to spend the night? I'll send the maids to..."

"That's not why we're here!" Lansel's cold voice cut Queen Filanthi off and she gulped down.

"Then, why are you here?" Her voice came out in a whisper.

Lansel ignored her question and averted his gaze to the three princesses. Rialorna to be precise.

"You are in the Moon Realm, why are you suddenly back?" He asked.

Rialorna lowered her head, rolling her eye balls trying to come up with an answer.

"Oh I asked her to come with us. Mother misses her" Gabriella chipped in with an obvious fake smile.

"And then, you couldn't inform me? You disappeared without saying anything. Did you do something wrong, Ria...lorna? Prince Lansel asked, he was striding towards her. His voice was dangerously low as he drawled her name.

Rialorna grabbed her dress tightly, her heart beat accelerated with every step he took.

"Prince Lansel?" Queen Filanthi called, very carefully.

"Lady Neev is missing" Lansel suddenly stated.

"What! Neev!?" Aleazea gasped in shock.

"If I may ask , who's lady Neev?" King Livius asked.

"She's my brother's closest companion. His lady" Dionysios replied this time around.

King Livius and Queen Filanthi exchanged looks. They couldn't understand why Niamh's disappearance is related to Elvkinles.

"Are you suspecting Rialorna for having a hand in Lady Neev's disappearance?"
