Chapter 3 - Chapter Three

~ Persistent Insect~

"Your Serene Highness" Princess Alessia bowed as she sighted the crown prince. Lansel nodded and walked into his major while she trailed behind him.

"How is His Highness doing?" Princess Alessia asked.

"Great as you can see" Lansel replied, dolefully.

"My Prince, I've prepared a gift of freshly made cherry drink. I'll be glad if His Highness accept my gift" she gestured her maid who handed the basket to Severus.

"What was that for?" Lansel asked as his firm gaze raked over Alessia.

Princess Alessia blushed " I was concerned about His Highness' health after the Moon Supreme passed away"

"If His Highness won't mind, caan we take a walk in the Mist Plane?" She asked quickly.

Lansel sighed. One thing about him is that he hated the fairies, not only the fairies but also the elves and witches. Ladies from the Fairy and Elven Realms are always trying to win his heart by visiting him frequently, though Lansel never looked at them.

And for the witches, the Witches Realm, Witdexus is a great enemy to the Moon Realm. History has it that they haven't been in good terms for decades, which got the witches to curse the Mortal supernaturals.

Almost immediately, the door burst open and princess Neriah walked in and all eyes turned to her.

"Your Grace" princess Alessia and her maids bowed simultaneously which got Neriah to smile proudly.

"I am surprised to see the almighty Fairy princess in the Moon Realm" Neriah stated, sarcastically.

"I'm flattered Your Grace. I came to visit His Highness" Alessia smiled.

Neriah turned to Lansel "Elder Baylor requires your presence in Eldtrorse, My Prince"

"Let's go then" prince Lansel left with princess Neriah. Princess Alessia clenched her fist in annoyance.

"What a pest!" Princess Neriah hissed.

"Did Elder Baylor call for me?" Lansel asked

"Not really, I just found an excuse to disappoint that insect" Neriah replied with an eye roll

"I hated that fairy, she's being too clingy" she added

"Is she?" Lansel smirked

"Yes, siree! Isn't it obvious? 'i came to visit His Highness' so disgusting!" Neriah hissed, her face contorted in disgust and Lansel chuckled.

"I hope she isn't that goddess of yours" Neriah mumbled, loud enough for him to hear sbd Lansel abruptly paused in his tracks

"How did you know about that?" He asked, furrowing his brows. Neriah bit her lower lip, she couldn't possibly tell him she was eavesdropping.

"You were eavesdropping" Lansel smirked dangerously, his once calm sea green eyes turned into a stormy wave, Neriah gasped.

"I wasn't eavesdropping, I was just..."

"It's high time I take you to the Lonely Region"

Neriah's eyes turned misty as she heard Lansel.

"No brother! I am sorry! But I'm your sister, I hated it when you discuss things with brother Dionysios without letting me know. I'm not a weak princess as you say!" She cried.

Lansel's gaze softened. The tempest and stormy wave seemed to have been washed away and was replaced by a calm green sea undisturbed by ripples of courtly chaos. Seeing her cry is the one thing he hates, that is his weakness.

"And now, I just helped you get away from that insect and all I got is.."

"Hush!" Lansel pulled her into a hug, stroking her hair.

Severus lightly tucked Marius' arm and he turned, his face was cold blank mask .

"I'm wanting to see Prince's soulmate" Severus whispered excitedly but Marius acted like a rock. That is Marius for you, he's cold, rarely speaks, no one, absolutely no one had ever seen him smile or laugh, it's like he had problem with his facial expressions. All what he cared about is protecting the prince and spilling out blood, nothing more.

"Man! You are annoying. She must be a beauty" Severus continued fantasizing. Lansel clearly heard him and when he turned, Severus bowed in apology.
