Chapter 7 - Chapter Seven

~Bad Liar~

Prince Lansel wandered in the Mist Forest waiting for Severus and Marius to report when he heard some movements in the other side of the woods. He furrowed his brows and teleported towards the direction just to sense a presence behind him, followed by a soft angelic voice

"Hey"

He took a deep breath and turned swiftly. For a moment, he went breathless athe sughtif the ethereal beauty with striking silver eyes and cascading silver hair, framing a face of proclain perfection. She was clsd in an old grey patched dress, holding unt her bow and arrow. Hwta amazed him the most is her bewildering silver hair which made her look exceptionally gorgeous and unique.

Niamh's breath hitched as Lansel turned. She couldn't tear her eyes off his as he slowly lifted his thick long lashes to stare at her. His eyes were sea green, akin to the green sea and they were full of life, as if there were many stars swirling within them. They were serene, like the still waters. Then there were his lashes… they were so indecently long and thick for a man. His lips, his jaw, his nose… every single part of him rendered her speechless. She had never seen another human who had been fashioned with such beauty and perfection.

The only thing she did to stop herself from gaping so badly at him is that her mouth was closed. Or it could have been an embarrassing story.

Lansel tilted his head, staring at her in amusement. His action alone was enough to make Niamh snap back to reality. She wanted to look away from him but it's like his sea green eyes were drawing her, drowning her into the deepest part of the ocean.

"Who are you?" She finally found her tongue.

"You are not from the Calm Region, are you?" She asked again.

Lansel narrowed his gaze, for some reasons, his action made Niamh's heart react strangely.

"I'm Neev" she replied, finally able to look away.

"And who are you?" She asked again, but almost immediately, Marius and Severus appeared

"My..." Severus trailed off at the sight of Niamh.

"Let's go" Lansel stated and the trio left.

Niamh's face contorted in confusion.

"Who on Earth are they!?" She asked no one in particular.

"May I ask who the lady is?" Severus asked and Marius hit him, earning a glare from Severus.

"I met her there so, I don't know" Lansel replied dolefully.

"Have you gotten somewhere?" He asked.

"Yes My Prince, a home owner by an old Farmer. I have talked to him about it and paid him" Marius replied.

"Does he know who is staying there?" Lansel asked again.

"Ay, he promised to keep it a secret, is he spill it out he's dead" Marius stated. Prince Lansel smirked satisfactorily.

They appeared in front of the house. An old man was standing in front of the house. He gestured them inside and they all walked in.

"Pay your respect to the prince" Marius stated coldly.

The old man gazed up at Lansel annd bowed "Old Carolos is honoured to serve you, Your Grace"

Lansel nodded and the old man rose.

"Right, get cloths for us from the market. Staying in the royal wear will only draw more attention" Lansel stated and the old man nodded instantly.

"Go with him, Severus" Lansel added and then turned to the old man "how much would be enough?"

"10 silver coins, Your Grace"

Lansel handed Severus a pouch containing silver coins and the duo lfy afterwards.

Lansel looked around one more time and nodded. The house is small but sculptously clean and tidy.

"Old Grandpa!" Naimh called but paused in her tracks when she saw Severus. 'what is he doing with Old Grandpa?' she thought

"My daughter, how are you?"

Niamh snapped back to reality and smiled.

"I am good, Old Grandpa. Are you going somewhere?" She asked

"Uh yes. To the market" Old Carolos replied.

"See you then" Niamh bowed and watched them leave.

'who was that man?" She wondered. She had known Old Carolos since when she was a baby, he was always a jovial but careful person. Now seeing him with a strange person whom obviously is not from the Calm Region, going to the market, to buy what? For whom? But wait! That man with green eyes, he was dressed like a prince. Suddenly, Aoife's words flashed in her brain 'oh prince Lansel, those sea green eyes...'

'could it be...?'

'no, prince Lansel won't come to the Calm Region, to do what? That's absurd' She kept talking alone as she went home.

"Mother I'm home!" Niamh announced as she entered the Small house.

"You're late today" Serephina was quick to point out.

"Uhh... I couldn't find a prey, I hardly got this squirrel" Niamh lied, looking at her feet.

Serephina let out a throaty chuckle and walked towards her daughter.

"You are always a bad liar. Did you discover that you always look at your feet while lying?" Serephina asked and Niamh gasped.

Her mother really knows her so we'll.

"Uh... Where's Awn-yah? I got a squirrel!" Niamh escaped from her mother. Serephina shook her head helplessly.
