~Breathless~
After breakfast, Prince Lansel set out for his journey to the search for his goddess. He had searched the Noble Ladies' Terrain but couldn't find any lady that could purify a demon-possessed living. Now, he'll be heading to the Calm Region and Dream Nation. He went to the throne room to meet his mother.
All the guards and courtiers bowed as he gracefully walked in.
"Your Grace" he bowed briefly "I will take my leave soon"
"Stay safe. I hope your search goes well" Queen Diantha stated.
"I appreciate, Your Grace"
"Take good care of yourself, My Prince" princess Neriah added.
"I will, Princess"
"Return safely, Your Serene Highness!" The courtiers bowed as Lansel left the throne room with Marius and Severus trailing behind him.
"Brother!" Princess Neriah ran after him and hugged him.
"Come on, Neriah. Just three days and I will be back. I don't even think I will find her in those lowlife villages" prince Lansel cooed, patting her back.
"I will still miss you" she pouted and disentangled.
"You look cute. I'll be leaving now"
"Good bye, Brother" Prince Dionysios bowed dramatically
"Make sure you take care of her and mother" Lansel stated firmly and Dionysios nodded.
Prince Dionysios took a step forward towards Marius and Severus "If a single strand of my brother's hair is hurt, I will butcher you personally and feed you to the snakes" he stated, his ocean blue eyes turned vicious as a snake.
Marius and Severus knelt down on the spot
"I give you my life, Your Serene Highness. I will protect the prince with my life"
"I will fall on my sword and die for him if need be. You have my word"
Prince Dionysios smirked satisfactorily "Good"
The duo stood up afterwards. Lansel opened a portal and with one last glance at Dionysios and Neriah, he walked in. Marius and Severus walked in afterwards and the portal closed.
They appeared in the middle of the Mist Forest
"Where are we now?" Lansel asked.
"The Mist Forest, My Prince" Severus replied. Prince Lansel looked around and nodded.
"But there are beasts in this region, it is not safe for the prince" Marius added.
"We need to get somewhere safe and let His Highness change into something simple"Severus said again.
"Your highness, prince Lansel, my prince, Your Grace, isn't that enough!?" Lansel turned to them, feeling irritated.
Marius and Severus looked at each other and kept mute
"I personally chose you as my knight ad shadow guard when I was a teen and now, your loyalty is becoming too much. As if you are not my childhood friends" Lansel kept going on and on and on.
"I apologise Your Grace, we won't dare disrespect you" Severus bowed
Lansel let out a deep sigh, "you know what, you go search where we'll stay. Report back to me when you find somewhere" Marius and Severus bowed and left.
Not too long after they left, Lansel was wandering in the middle of the Mist Forest. Everywhere was foggy and misty, as if it wasn't a bright sunny day. The tall tree hovered to the sky, covering it. The forest itself looked scary. But Lansel wasn't disturbed by this so-called dangerous forest.
It is as if he didn't believe there are beasts in the forest until he heard a low growl behind him. He paused and turend to see a small baby beast. It is young but still looked scary, grey in colour, looked much like a wolf and a dragon.
The beast growled again and Lansel chuckled darkly.
"You little...." He stretched his palms towards the beast and it turend into ashes. Lansel shook his head and walked further.
Meanwhile... Niamh was wandering in the other side of the woods searching for her prey when she sighted a red squirrel from afar. She smirked and aimed her bow and arrow. When she was about releasing the arrow, something came from the other side of the woods and passed in a whoosh of wind, the squirrel ran away. Niamh frowned and aimed at the direction, taking steady steps closer. She hid behind a tree and peeped. To her disappointment, no one was there. Her frown deepened.
'But I'm sure someone was there's she thought.
She shrugged and turend to leave, she don't want her curiousness to put her in trouble. Turning around, she sighted someone backing her band she subconsciously gasped.
It was a guy, his Raven Black hair was falling smoothly oon his back, his hands were crossed behind his back and his black cloak with intricate golden swirls and motifs lowered behind him like the royal standard. It's like he's waiting for someone.
Niamh gulped down nothing, staring at that perfect inhuman figure. His manly structure was a perfection in her eyes and she suddenly wondered who could that be. For some reasons, her heart was thumping hard. Maybe because she'd never seen someone in the woods before.
"Hey!" She called.
Lansel's eyes flew open as he heard a soft voice behind him. He took a deep breath and turned swiftly. For some moments, they both went breathless.
