Yuki was sweating like mad while she ran. Mei Mei was no better. They quickly caught up to Ardor Huo, who was looking at them with confusion written on his face.
"What are you guys doing?" He asked, tilting his head to one side.
"Running!" Yuki replied, not bothering to look behind her and took Ardor by the hand, dragging him along with her.
"Where is Huang Ran staying?" Mei Mei asked while glancing at the black sun which was not very far behind.
"At that inn over there." Ardor Huo pointed to an inn called, 'The Day Inn'.
The three of them ran into the inn, causing many of the customers to stare at them oddly. Yuki looked around and saw a stairway to the right that led up to the second floor.
"Where's Huang Ran's room?" Yuki asked urgently.
"He's on the fourth floor." Ardor Huo replied, dashing up the stairs.
The others followed him. As they reached the fourth floor, they found themselves facing a large wooden door that was decorated with a picture of a large bird carrying a sword in its beak. Yuki burst open the dusty oak door, causing her to cough violently. The smell of mold filled the room. The room was dimly lit, but she could make out the shape of a large bed.
"What are you guys doing?" Huang Ran got up from his bed, groggily looking at them.
"We need help!" Yuki said. "We found a strong guy and he's after us and he might have some connections to the Abyssal plane!"
Huang Ran suddenly became fully alert and got off the bed in one quick movement.
"Why didn't you say so sooner? What's his appearance?" Huang Ran asked urgently.
"Blonde hair with black highlights, red yellow eyes, black robes, white mask." Mei Mei listed everything they saw about the man in black. She even told him a little about his ability, which surprised him a little bit.
Huang Ran furrowed his and turned his head out the window as he felt an enormous amount of Kongli heading towards their direction. It was dark and sinister, but had something else to it, but he couldn't quite remember. He was distracted from his thoughts when a large black sun appeared in front of the inn and his eyes widened when he saw the man in black staring at them.
"Oh, so are these your friends?" The man smiled as he gazed at the four of them who were on the fourth floor of the inn.
"Who are you?" Huang Ran narrowed his eyes.
"Auryn Eklipse." Auryn Eklipse said, his voice neither fast nor slow.
"Do you know what's going on with the Abyssal plane?" Huang Ran asked, getting straight to the point.
"Of course! We simply want to achieve the goal as the creator." Auryn Eklipse said. "But like that information has any use for you."
Huang Ran didn't care about his last sentence but focused on the 'we' point.
'We?' Huang Ran thought and asked.
"Yes, we, that is, all of us who reside or are interested in the Abyssal plane." Auryn Eklipse said matter-of-factly. "Enough talking, I haven't fought a dragon in a while, and I'm craving a good battle after gaining more power."
The four of them flinched at his words. Fighting in a village would cause death and destruction and they definitely didn't want that to happen.
"I'll meet you outside, but make sure not to destroy anything, or the village will be at stake." Huang Ran said, but Auryn Eklipse simply didn't care and said.
"Spiritual Domain: Eternal Dusk."
Suddenly, everything around them changed. The area around them was shrouded by black eerie mist with purple dead trees dispersed around the area. The smell was rotten and smelled like dead flesh. Yuki could feel her feet sink into the mud beneath them and Mei Mei covered her mouth and nose with her clothes to avoid smelling the smell of decay.
Eternal Dusk: An ability that creates a field of perpetual twilight, shrouding an area in darkness and weakening the powers of those within it.
"T-this? What is this?" Yuki couldn't believe her eyes and couldn't comprehend what was happening.
"We're in a spirit domain, but I've never seen something this powerful." Ardor Huo exclaimed.
"Spirit Domaine? This seems much stronger than my zone skill." Yuki said, and Ardor Huo nodded in agreement.
Huang Ran looked around cautiously and Yuki was awestruck.
"Domain Skills can actually be learnt at level 50, but it's exclusive to the Sun and Moon kingdom." Huang Ran explained, summoning his spirit, making his skin turn into glinting golden scales.
Yuki felt a heavy pressure and knew that this was the effect of the dark Kongli around them. She quickly summoned her spirit as well and used her first spirit skill to replace the ground with snow. Ardor Huo summoned his spirit and helped Mei Mei hide.
The snow on the ground allowed them to traverse the terrain easier, which made Auryn Eklipse, who was hiding in the dark, raise a brow.
'No wonder that the Snow Dragon clan was so feared amongst the Abyss. She simply cancels our abilities.' Auryn thought, coming out of the dark while clapping.
The four turned around and looked at Auryn who came out from behind. A hint of hesitation appeared in Huang Ran's eyes as he stared at Auryn vigilantly.
The power this man has shown is strong and weird. A man who seems to have connection with the Abyss Plane but also has the ability to create domains, but domains can only be owned by the most trustworthy people of the Sun and Moon kingdom. So how can his man know how to create a domain?
Doubts keep rushing in Huang Ran's brain, while keeping his guard up. This isn't a fight that Yuki, Mei Mei, and Ardor Huo can fight.
"What do you want?" Huang Ran asked, trying to find a way out of their current situation.
Airyn raised his hand and rested it on his chin. It looked like he was thinking about something, but his eyes never left Yuki's body.
"Her heart."
