Around the Sect were many mountains that all had different elements to them. One was covered in ice, another had fire bursting from its mountain top, while another had electricity shocking its surroundings. The sect seemed to be split in half with mountains, and Yuki's group seemed to be in the middle of it all.
"I will take my leave then. I have some business to attend to." Zloto said as he bowed to the woman, his shoulder length hair swaying with the wind, and walked off towards the direction of one of the mountains covered in gold.
"What's up with all the different mo-," Yuki started to ask, but was interrupted by the woman.
"All the mountains have different elements, like that one for example has lightning. The type of element you see has to be one of the dragon clans. For example, the mountain with lighting is a part of the Lighting Dragon Clan." She explained in a patient tone of voice.
Yuki nodded in understanding.
"Where is your dragon clan then?" She asked, looking around curiously.
"The Ice Dragon Clan resides in the north." The woman replied, and then pointed towards the mountain with ice covering its peak. "The snow dragon clan used to reside in the east until all of them perished."
Yuki felt a twinge of pain in her heart as she realized that the mountain she lived in was the home of her dead ancestors.
"W-why are they all dead?" Yuki asked in a small voice.
"Over the years, each dragon clan became weaker and weaker. As a result, more and more humans have started to use dark magic and curse arts." She replied and gently patted Yuki's head.
"300 years ago, the creation of the Abyssal plane was done by the first king of the Sun and Moon kingdom. As for why, no one really knows, but the Plane was full of darkness and was immune to all elements., but a discovery was found. Snow could trap the Abyssal Plane." She explained further.
Yuki was baffled about why someone would make an entire plane as their enemy. The woman noticed her expression and continued explaining.
"Some say it was for greater strength. Some say it for pleasure." She said, glancing at Yuki, who was looking down at the ground, clenching her fists.
"The Abyssal plane was ravaging the entire land and ate many dragons, causing our numbers to become scarce, but then we found something that could trap it. It was snow from the snow dragon clan, so we decided to sacrifice them and seal the Abyssal Plane." She added sadly, placing her hand on Yuki's shoulders and shook her head.
"I'm sorry." She said softly, trying to comfort Yuki.
"No need to be sorry." Yuki said blankly, trying to hide the pain in her eyes. "I want to ask you one thing..."
"Hmm? What is it?" The woman asked, tilting her head slightly as she stared at Yuki.
Yuki took in a deep breath and let it out slowly before asking, "Can I train here? I don't know anything about myself or the dragon clan, but I want to know."
The woman smiled gently and said, "Of course. Your clan gave their lives for the world, so I think they would want you to continue living. Come, let's go meet the Headmaster."
Yuki nodded and followed her to one of the largest buildings in the sect, where an old man was waiting for them. He wore dragon silk robes with Silver dragon patterns on it with a white beard that touched the floor.
"Headmaster, this is Yuki from the Snow Dragon Clan." The woman said, gesturing at Yuki to bow to him.
Yuki understood that they had a different culture, so she bowed, touching her left hand with her right hand and extended them forwards.
"Hoho! I haven't seen a snow dragon in 300 years! Meng Li, you brought me a surprise!" The old man said, laughing lightly and clapping his hands together, seemingly delighted.
"Welcome to the Dragon Sect, young one. I am Plata Aqil from the Mental Dragon clan." He said warmly as he gestured to Yuki to follow him inside his building.
"Mental Dragon clan?" Yuki asked as she glanced around at the paintings of dragons in a fighting stance.
"Yes, my dragon is a telepathic dragon and can attack enemies psychologically and destroy their Sea of Spirits." He said, nodding his head slightly and picking up a pot of tea. He poured some tea into two cups and offered it to Yuki and the woman.
"Thank you." Yuki said as she took the cup and took a sip, savoring the sweet taste of green tea.
"Headmaster, may I have permission to take Yuki to visit the Snow Dragon Clan?" The woman asked, looking at him pleadingly.
The old man stroked his white beard and thought for a moment before agreeing to let them go. Yuki was happy that she was finally going to see the place where she originally came from, even if there were no inhabitants.
The woman smiled gently and put her hand on Yuki's shoulders, telling her that they should get going before it gets dark.
"Wait," Plata said as he waved his hand in the air, and a piece of paper and a pen flew towards her.
"Fill out your information first before leaving." He added as he drank his tea.
"My information?" Yuki asked, staring at the blank paper and the pen floating in front of her.
"Yes, your rank, spirit, name, etc." He replied.
Yuki understood and nodded. She grabbed the pen and started to write her information on it. After she was done, Plata reviewed her information and then waved his hand, causing a bronze dragon-shaped badge to appear on her clothes.
"Good, but you're no longer level ten but level 12." He said, grinning at her.
Yuki froze and looked at the man in confusion.
"But I haven't done anything to level up." She said as she stared at the badge on her clothes.
Plata laughed heartily and replied, "Why do you think you can release a Spirit Skill?"
Yuki thought for a moment and understood. The girl at the awakening platform told her to break through her bottleneck she'd have to undergo a dire situation. The level up was probably the reason why she could access a bit of her previous life's memories. Now she's looking forward to breaking through level 21.
"Don't forget to visit your clan at least once a year. And until you get a dragon silk robe from Zloto, you aren't allowed to enter the sect." Plata said in a serious tone as he gazed at Yuki with piercing eyes.
Yuki didn't know what dragon silk was, but she did know that Zloto was going to give her a robe.
"Come," The woman said as she walked towards the exit and then stepped outside.
Yuki quickly followed behind her. When they both arrived at the entrance of the sect, she stopped and then turned around, facing Yuki with a gentle smile on her face.
"We're now about to head to your clan's location. with your power it would take a while to reach there so...climb on." Meng Li said as she bent down onto the floor and then turned into a dragon.
Yuki felt her mouth drop in shock at the sudden transformation. The dragon in front of her was about the size of a truck, with glistening icy scales that shone brightly under the sunlight.
"Get on." Meng Li said in a deep and rumbling voice.
Yuki tentatively placed her hands on Meng Li's back and climbed on her back. Once she was on, the Meng Li opened her wings and flapped them hard, causing dust to fly everywhere, and then suddenly the Meng Li lunged upwards in the air. Yuki almost fell off the Meng Li if she wasn't holding on tightly onto her back, but the more they ascended higher into the sky the more relaxed Yuki became.
"Let's go to the Snow Dragon Clan!"
