Yuki woke up early in the morning to prepare herself for the day. She had no idea how long it would take for Meng Li to arrive.
She looked around at her surroundings and found that everything was still covered in snow and ice, with no signs of anyone else in sight.
'Did everyone really die?' She thought as she walked around the cave, exploring the different areas of her ancestors' homes.
There were no signs of anyone living in these houses for a long time. Everything looked like it had been abandoned for years, but how could that be possible? I mean, isn't she a good example of the fact that the Snow Dragons exist?
After walking around for a bit, Yuki came across a room filled with shelves lined up against the walls and on top of them were various objects such as books, scrolls, paintings, etc. This was obviously an archive room where important information was stored. Yuki hurriedly scanned the shelves to see if anything caught her eye, and one did.
It was a way to cultivate Kongli. It was called 'Fire Through the Snow' but for some reason there was a note saying not to practice it.
"Hmm?" Yuki muttered in surprise as she took out the scroll and unrolled it.
"Fire Through the Snow? Why not?" She muttered in confusion as she read the description of the cultivation technique.
'This cultivation technique was created by a descendant of the Snow Dragons when he was born with a fire attribute instead of an ice attribute. It is called "Fire through the Snow" because he was born into a clan full of snow dragons.'
Yuki could understand why someone wouldn't want to learn this technique considering it was designed for someone with a fire attribute instead of an ice/snow attribute. But one thing she remembers in the bits of pieces of her past life, mother said fire would only allow the snow to grow.
Yuki's eyes brightened as she was thinking about the scroll. If she was able to learn this technique then it might be possible for her to have another chance to revive her clan!
"But why would mother say fire would only make snow grow?" Yuki muttered as she rubbed her chin thoughtfully. She only remembered her mother saying this sentence, but she wasn't sure what it meant exactly.
After a bit of pondering she decided to try practicing it anyway since she had nothing else to do and was curious about what kind of skills it could bring out.
She sat down on a chair and began reading through the scroll.
There was nothing special about it, other than the fact that it required her to draw in heat from her surrounding ice and snow which would help strengthen her body and spirit. The process would also increase her cultivation speed as well, giving her more strength and power.
She held the scroll with both hands and began concentrating hard on the words written inside. She focused on drawing heat from her surroundings into her body, but for some reason it wasn't working properly.
"Damn... Why can't I get it?" Yuki muttered in annoyance as she tossed away the scroll, causing it to bounce off the wall before landing on the floor.
She stared at it with a frustrated expression before sighing loudly and walking towards it. She picked it up and continued reading through it again. After a few minutes of studying she finally understood why it wasn't working properly and realized that she was not drawing heat from snow and ice, but was drawing from the heat in the air.
"Agh..." She sighed heavily as she fell to her knees in defeat and clutched her head tightly in frustration.
This was extremely difficult for her, but she knew that if she did not learn this cultivation technique then she wouldn't be able to revive her clan!
It took a long while of struggling before she finally figured out how to do it properly and began practicing it diligently. As she practiced, her skin began glowing white and her body became hotter than before, causing sweat to pour down her face continuously. The cold atmosphere of the cave seemed to not bother her anymore.
This continued for hours until Yuki couldn't take it anymore and collapsed onto the ground completely exhausted. She didn't move at all for a while, just breathing heavily as she tried to catch her breath. Eventually she recovered and stood up slowly, still panting heavily. She glanced at her hands and noticed that they were starting to turn red and looked like they were about to burst into flames.
She quickly removed her clothes and hurriedly put on some new ones before exiting the archive room and walking outside of the cave.
The sun was shining brightly overhead and it felt nice against her hot skin. Yuki breathed deeply and enjoyed the fresh air for a moment before heading back inside the cave. She had just finished her training session and now just had to wait for Meng Li to come pick her up.
After waiting for a few minutes, Meng Li suddenly appeared outside of the cave entrance, looking like she just flew through the sky and landed there without any warning.
"Yuki!" Meng Li called out as she ran towards Yuki and hugged her tightly, causing her to gasp in surprise.
"It's been too long! How are you doing?" She asked cheerfully as she released Yuki from her grip.
"It's been 12 hours..." Yuki said and snorted.
"Hehe. It seems that you're finally comfortable." Meng Li laughed as she patted Yuki's shoulder.
Yuki nodded and asked, "Was Zloto able to make a robe?"
Meng Li grinned widely and took out a bundle of clothes from her pouch and handed them over to Yuki.
Yuki unfolded it and found that it was a set of robes made entirely out of dragon silk and they looked extremely durable, yet soft and flexible enough to move freely in.
"This is amazing..." Yuki said in awe as she felt the fabric between her fingers. It felt very similar to her dragon scales when she turned into a dragon.
She quickly changed into them and immediately felt comfortable wearing them, they were perfect for fighting in without restricting her movements or restricting her cultivation. The dragon silk was also strong enough to repel normal attacks.
"Now you can finally enter the sect." Meng Li said as she walked beside Yuki and started leading her towards the dragon sect.
