The days passed by rather quickly as Ria and Yuki traveled through the forest heading to the Sun and Moon kingdom. Yuki has grown used to the beautiful scenery, as she has seen it hundreds of times. They encountered some troubles along the way and met a few interesting spirit beasts.
One of them they met was an enormous tree with a face on the trunk and hundreds of small vines dangling from the tree, waiting to grab on something. Ria called the spirit beast a Hanging Tree. It grabs its victim and locks it inside its hollow trunk and waits for it to die to absorb it. The spirit beast was quite strong as it was a Spirit Bronze, so they had to take a detour to avoid it.
The other spirit beast they met was a frog spirit beast. It was a Spirit Iron, so it wasn't a challenge for Ria to handle. Although Ria didn't use any powerful moves, she could defeat the frog without even breaking a sweat.
Along the way to Sun and Moon kingdom, there wasn't much to do, so Yuki took this opportunity to ask some questions about the spirit beast.
"Sister~ what are some of the strongest Spirit Beasts?" Yuki asked and sat down on top of a rock.
"Spirit Beast? They go from Spirit Iron, Spirit Bronze, Spirit Silver, Spirit Gold, Spirit Diamond, Spirit Jade, and Spirit Emerald." Ria counted with her fingers, as she listed each spirit rank.
"They are known by the density of Kongli around them and the intelligence of the creature." She continued and took out a piece of red stone.
"This is a spirit iron ore. It's the lowest grade ore you can find on the continent. Usually only weaker spirit beasts will absorb it. Some stronger spirit beast won't absorb ore." Ria explained and gave the ore to Yuki, letting her examine it.
Yuki ran her dragon claws over the spirit iron ore. It had a smooth and reddish color to it, almost like a ruby. She could see small veins of Kongli running through the ore and lighting up the small veins.
"The spirit iron ore is pretty easy to absorb, but stronger ore is harder to absorb." Ria said and sat down next to her sister. She didn't have any other treasures on her. A level 22 Commoner can't afford things like that.
"The hanging tree we met had a violet stone on its chest, was that a spirit ore?" Yuki asked as she remembered the creature's chest glowing purple.
"It's a spirit core. Spirit Core is what we use to increase our levels. Ones that suit you can even give you a skill and help you break through your bottleneck. Spirit stones can be used to make other things though." Ria explained as she got up and stretched.
Yuki nodded her head, and suddenly a noise from the grass coming from the west entered both of their ears, startling them.
"What's that?" Yuki muttered under her breath and looked at her sister, who had a frown on her face.
"There are at least two people, more or less the same strength as me." Ria whispered to her, making sure no one could hear.
"W-Who are they?" Yuki asked in a frightened voice. She had only been in the real world for five days, so she was still scared of others. Especially since the upcoming people shared the same strength as her dear sister.
"Calm down. Even if they wanted to hurt us, I would not allow it." Ria comforted her and watched as the tall grass swayed gently to the wind.
From the grass came three figures. One had a long spear on his back, and the other had two daggers on his waist. The last one had a tall and slender body, with a cloak hiding his face. He was wearing a long sleeve shirt and pants and didn't have any weapons on him.
The man with a spear saw Ria and Yuki and pointed at them.
"Hehe, if it isn't the Snow Dragon? The price for you isn't low." He said in an arrogant tone and licked his lips, making Yuki tremble.
"Go away and I won't hurt you." Ria warned them and summoned her Water Dragon Flower Spirit. Her spirit looked like a flower with dragon scales made of water with sharp petals.
"You think we care?" The man with the spear laughed out loud, giving Yuki some time to react and summon her spirit.
The man saw Yuki's actions and didn't care and still talked. "Three of us are higher level than all of you. Just give up, and we won't hurt you." He said arrogantly and moved his hand to touch the spear on his back.
Ria, seeing this action, and two other men did the same, attacked first. Her dragon flower petal shot towards the two men who didn't have any weapons on him. The man with his face covered saw the petals coming straight at him and simply raised the palm of his hand and shot out a tremendous gust of wind, blowing away the flower petals and creating a path in between them.
Seeing her attack was easily blocked by the man, Ria frowned and commanded her dragon flower to fly in the air and used her first skill.
"First Spirit skill: The Blooming Dragon!" She yelled out and sent her dragon flower into the air, and from within the sky came out a blue dragon made of water and water petals. The dragon's body was raging currents and sharp petals covering its body.
Ria screamed in anger and launched her dragon flower at the man who had blown away her first attack.
The man saw the water dragon petals coming straight at him again. He simply raised his hand and once again released a powerful gust of wind, but this time it was more compressed.
"Third Spirit Skill: Compressing Wind." The man's deep voice resounded through the forest and he let loose his compressed wind.
The wind clashed against the dragon flower and completely neutralized it, turning it back into a dragon flower in the sky.
"R-Rank 7: Junior Knight!" Ria shouted in horror. "Only people who are level thirty can have three spirit skills!"
Yuki trembled and clenched the corner of her clothes. She felt hopeless and weak. She thought that if this man was so powerful, what could she do?
While they weren't paying attention, the two others came up and attacked Ria. The spear user threw his spear at Ria. The spear whistled as it flew through the air creating a small gust of wind.
Ria had a shocked expression on her face, as she didn't expect for someone to sneak attack her while she was distracted and was pierced on the right side of her shoulder. The spear was incredibly fast, as it went through her flesh and bones. She bit her lower lip as blood dripped onto the ground. She grabbed the spear and pulled it out, letting out a cry of pain.
Yuki watched her dear sister get hurt and finally snapped out of her daze and stared at the spear user. her eyes turned more like a dragon with vertical slits, and the surrounding temperature seemed to drop by ten degrees.
"You bastards!" Yuki roared and was about to fly up into the air but was hit on the back of the head by the other guy with two daggers.
Yuki collapsed to the ground with a dull thud and felt dizzy.
