Even though Li Jun had some disappointment about the immortal path, he was just basing all this on an assumption it was a massive pit without a future.
The Immortal path is something that once looked at from a certain direction, can be seen as a strong path and a complete system in itself. The focus after all is ussually on the transformation of energy.
In the known universe, everything is just a form of energy, or mostly formed from energy. With this logic in mind, one can imagine where this system would reach when taken to the extreme. But the only problem was that, you might not be yourself at the end.
The essence of any practioner is to detach themselves, but this immortal path did have a flaw in this aspect.
The biggest flaw was not the fact the body was replaced into an energy body, this is a chance. It is also what makes those in the immortal path claim to be immortals. Changing from a mortal body to an energy body makes it very difficult to be killed. That is however only true for those in the same stage and more importantly not from the other paths.
Turning the body into an energy body is even known as mortal shedding stage. In essence this name is true, but at the same time when one no longer has their physical body, it is a big doubt whether they are still human.
More than just that, the aspect of detachment follows the principle of elevating everything, into a new stage, more like evolution, but immortal path goes further by burning their physique into oblivion.
From the moment one takes the first step and enter the first realm, it is already impossible to practice other systems.
The reason for this is simple, their physiques are changed, and it continues to happen along the way until the end, you wonder if they are human or not.
Li Jun had the right to be this skeptical about the end result even if the massive eye did not destroy him.
It is more like cultivating oneself into a resource, regardless of where he went perhaps he might not have been able to escape.
In martial path, and evolution the aspect of will is important and at some stage, will is infused into one's body.
The same can't be said for the immortal path, that seemed to demand for purity. But what was all this for? He was not certain it had any real benefits to him at the end of the day.
He was willing to take the risk, and change the path he walked in the other timeline for more than just this very reason.
He realized that when he walked the path of immortality, he has already started to act in a certain way, or to be more specific, infuenced to behave and respond in some type of way.
Even through energy is the main route followes by the immortal path, it has little to do with the problem the Immortal path faces.
All paths need energy and they attain it in different ways. The only difference is that it is not used to alter their entire body structure.
More importantly, martial arts and evolution path all focus on not just energy but things such as essence and spirit.
Immortal path uses energy to attain spirit. In other words when the energy is no longer available, the spirit will disappear.
When taking about essence, it is the end result of training the body to a certain limit. The martial path takes it as foundation and then spirit is taken as guide. So the spirit is the first thing those on the martial path and evolution path gain access to.
Even though the spirit is only touched upon, it is undoubtedly the first stage in both paths. It is attained only through insight and no shortcuts.
The esence is next, and with the path of the body being strengthened, the spirit is also developing along.
With the final energy that is focused on to give the two paths an edge. The term energy as uses in this place refers to stellar energy. It is the energy that martial artists and those on the path of evolution use. It does not resemble spirit Qi from heaven and earth. If the people in those two paths are thrown in space, they would be able to survive by absorbing this energy, but this is not the case for immortal path.
The higher the level the two paths reach the energy consumed is no longer from stars, rather from the cosmos.

In another part, just as Emily run off, she has not been having it easy, but she is not considered weak either.
At the moment she was standing before a massive water body. It was blocking her path, but she was not willing to jump in, it was considered danagerous for him.
Even so, she looked behind her with a weary smile on her face, "It's not that I want to jump in this water without even knowing what is inside, but I have no choice." With this thought in mind she no longer hesitated.
It's just that when she jumped into the water, it was not as she had expected things to then out.
She passed through it, and those that where watching in the void looked solemnly down.
"is that what I think it is?" The woman Luo asked with some suspicion. But even so, she did not waste her time and her figure flickered before appeared close to the water, but some kind of force was stopping her from approaching.
"Interesting! I have been excluded, I can't approach this pool of water." She extended her hand in a grabbing motion and a stone projectile appeared on it, before she threw it towards the water.
It managed to pass through and enter the water, only no splash happened.
"Indeed! This place is unique." As she said this, she looked towards Chengshan that had an ugly look on his face.
"What is wrong? Sulking cause you can't enter?" She asked as though teasing him.
But his expression was serious as he replied, "it might be a new ruin that has just opened. It might be impossible for anyone that has already started to cultivate to enter regardless of the system they use."
"Oh! And ?" Lady Luo lost interest instanly.
But ChangShen did want to continue convincing her about the benefits of such a place, but she was clearly less motivated.
He wanted to say more but knew it would have no effect, but then his eyes lit up as if he thought of something.
"Luo, I thought you wanted to get a disciple?" He mentioned this causally, like as though he was joking. But she could see right through his little tricks. Wanting her to get a disciple to explore the place for them, despite the dangers thad might exists in that place was already crazy.
She just ignored him, while he was not ashamed at all for being seen through.
He even had more plans, but he never mentioned the safety issue.
For whatever reason, she did not seem swayed, even though she had the urge to enter the ruins and explore, she was not yet that desperate.
"I think we should move most of the participants in this trial to enter this place for exploration, but that is not advisable. Even though the old guys have conservative nature and warlike, such an action would infuriate most of them. I think we can just throw a few of them in, what do you think?" The man spoke with some expectation.
Gaining access to ruins is not a simple thing. Even those at his level are into exploration of the secret realm, but it was indeed as they discovered, they could not approach it.
It was so near yet to far. With that a situation occuring, how could that two of them not be interested in whatever was inside, but they had to be careful how things where dealt with.
"Chengshan! You actually want me to accept a disciple so that they can explore the ruins for you. That is vicious of you, on the second throught, where are your disciples?" Luo asked as she scrutinized him.
In her opinion, this old thing was trying to pit her, and she has not taken in any disciple at all but the moment she does, he is already planing on leveraging on it.
She sneered as she looked at him without any thoughts of speaking anymore.
The secret in the ruins might be interesting but that was at most, for them it was impossible to gain external help to improve.
This is the issue with the evolution and martial arts path, one has to deal with several aspects each of them important.
But the human body is foundation, without first meeting the standards in terms of physique, it would almost become impossible to make progress.
The reason that Luo keeps such a massive body instead of letting it shink to the normal human size, she preferred her current state.
It worked just right, as anyone had to weigh themselves again before truly trying anything with her.
When it came to the sense of suppression, it was considered perfect and kept most trouble away.
It would be confusing as to why the two of them would be interested in the ruins, when it had little to no benefit to them, but that did not mean the resources present in that place where useless.
Even if it was exchanging them for a chance to enter the Universe Hall, they would be willing. It was just that the two of them had different outlook on things.
But even so, it is obvious that the Universe Hall was very important to those of higher realm too.
The thing that could be seen from their actions when the Ruins where discovered is that the two of them had need for the resources badly, as it determined their future path.
What Chengshan said however was true and they could not send everyone into the ruins by just ignoring the safety issue.
Some of them had strong backgrounds and if anything happened to them, it would make things escalate.
They had to be careful in everything, and their biggest role in this place is to make sure that stronger creatures are kept away from the students.
Sending them into the ruins would be going beyond their responsibility.
